this was so helpful. i've had to do a couple renders with wireframe already in the past years, but this is by far the easiest and best method, especially if you have a lot of objects
Thank you for the tutorial it was really helpful. I have only one question tho. For example when I render as Image. It is blurry. I don't know what I am missing...
Super Tutorial. There is one issue what I have had noticed. Option with adding different colour to the second mesh is not working. It is possible to have only one colour for all. Thanks!
Can someone help me with the rendering part I'm trying to render an animation with freestyle but the problem is the render time, single frame is taking around 1 min to render but the freestyle is taking over 10-11 mins to render/load with makes my total render time of 12 min per frame : ( By the way I'm rendering on my laptop GPU RTX 3050Ti 4GB VRAM so I don't know is it because of low VRAM or some render settings) Thank you and your tutorial was really helpful.
I currently have the same problem. Just a single render takes around 5 mins but the Freestyle Visibility computations takes over half an hour already and isnt finished yet D: Did you find a solution or workaround?
beautiful video, but I think I know a more simple way. just use solid view or wireframe view, adjust the look from the drop down menu and then hit viewport render image

really? oh no! I usually zoom only in the moments when nothing changes in the render! like with setting up the freestyle edge, cause you can't see the changes before you press render
Thumbs up for hand gestures at the end
hehe! thanks for the thumbs up!

THANK YOU SO MUCH. A lot of tutorials were just viewport renders and not a final cycles render with lighting and shadows. This was super helpful!
this is awesome, thank you!
for anyone else who's stuck on how to mark the edges, make sure you're in edge select mode haha
thank you very much. im slowly getting into selling 3d models and this comment saved me a bit of hassle
Thank you so much :)
Oh, Great tip! Also glad you liked it!
I ALSO HAVE SAME PROBLEM
me! was like what why I cant see the option? then noticed I was on vertex select mode 😅
I was using Blender for a long time, I knew the material override but I didn't know that wireframe render trick :D
This is useful, thanks ;)
Thank you so much for such a simple and straightforward tutorial!! Saved myself a ton of headache ♥
The best explanation of all the tutorials I've found. Subscribing 😎
Hidden gem. Great results. Thank you :)
I was literally going to look for it and you popped up on my main page, perfect timing 😄
Jaw-droppingly good!
Thank you, this was much easier than setting up a whole shader for it.
Clear and easy to follow, thanks!
excellent way! thank you!
Thank you sooo much!! I always see this type of render on instagram and now i want to post this type of render too!
Great explanation! This is the only video that did explain why I couldn't find the override xD

Thanks from Brazil!
You're welcome!
Thanks! This way is better than the built-in wireframe material.
Glad to help!
nice one 😘
Anyone who's testing this and want see the results faster then just set the render samples to 1 or 2 (or maybe 5).
Or 20.
Im still working through the tutorial but what a cute little game you guys made.
aww, thanks!
❤❤❤
thanks for the reminder, i forgot how it works.
Happy to help
nice voice and art

Why Eevee doesn't have Override?
More and more and more pls❤
will do!
came by the rooms
can you do this with a geometry node?
Thanks for sharing! But where have you gone?
I hope Blender made it easier just like in maya you can do it in 10 seconds, it will make demo a lot easier
How do I interact with Unity?
Can someone help me with the rendering part I'm trying to render an animation with freestyle but the problem is the render time, single frame is taking around 1 min to render but the freestyle is taking over 10-11 mins to render/load with makes my total render time of 12 min per frame : ( By the way I'm rendering on my laptop GPU RTX 3050Ti 4GB VRAM so I don't know is it because of low VRAM or some render settings) Thank you and your tutorial was really helpful.

🤞BUTT🤞
ah yes, i understand this joke!
now i actually understand it
I just watched the mrBeast stream where he donated to your channel, and I had to come and find you as you're super cute
Can you print the wireframe into the texture? Thanks
hmmm, i'm not sure! i should look into that :)
Hello Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
beautiful video, but I think I know a more simple way. just use solid view or wireframe view, adjust the look from the drop down menu and then hit viewport render image
Thanks for the tip!
Is the point of material override just a quick way to change everything at once?
Yes! And after you can disable it all of your previous materials will still be applied the way they were before!
@@juliestrator I slightly recommend pinning this question and answer. Thank you for the tutorial
Create plane.
Apply clay material to plane.
Select all objects in scene; make sure plane is active object.
ctrl+L
Link materials
good idea! the problem is that it doesn't work with multimaterial objects as far as I know. it only replaces the first material in the stack
Can someone explain the benefit of rendering clay? Its for ambient compositing blend or something?
just looks pretty :)
jk, it's just a good way to show your mesh for portfolio reasons, at least that's how I see it!
Gentlemen, we are gathered here again to learn more about Blender and 3D design ;)
Спасибо. Очень полезный туториал. Как тебе удалось так шикарно выучить английский. Поделись опытом.

спасибо) просто учу с садика практически.. лет 25 так) плюс мне очень повезло со школой, дали хорошую базу
hey .....why so cute sister :D
Hi
And in blender 3.6 the material override function in layers is already gone! Aaaaaannnnd this tutorial is from now on obsolete
Can you stop zoom to pointer please cuz i can't catch difference of model/render :), it's pretty cool tutorial btw...
really? oh no! I usually zoom only in the moments when nothing changes in the render! like with setting up the freestyle edge, cause you can't see the changes before you press render
ohh so good then, i am newbie on blender 😅 thanks for your comments and sorry about that :)
you're so cute ☺
Lol are you trying to snap your fingers?
nah, i was just thinking what to say :)
sweet girl
Wow I really like girls
Is it just me or are do you have about 3 accents all at the same time
maybe lol :)
Unfortunately, I can't focus on the left side of the screen, but I don't give up.
😂
Your so beautiful
Thanks
thx)))
Oh this is the way..... not the "viewport render image" way. Thank you🥲
Glad it helped!
