    i watched this vid 3 times in 8 days, haha! great insights!
    re: stuff you missed: maybe something about:
    1.the Japanese City Boy/ Amekaji aesthetic ironically gaining traction in the ConUS?
    2. the premature return of BoHo?
    3. the Musical Chairs of fashion's artistic directors?
    4. impact of High-fashion designers going into mass-market (e.g.: Givenchy's Claire Waight-Keller going into Uniqlo).
    5. impact of "directional" aesthetics on street fashion during challenging times (e.g.: will Alessandro Michele's resurrection via Valentino have the same effect on the streets [esp the thrifting scene] as he did when at Gucci?)

    You make some very good points. Men’s fashion has been so dull for way too long . I’m indie in the US . Is it my year ? While every year is my year I’ll take it . Did you know even when you put in Made In USA many of the algorithms don’t pick it up ? Makes it harder to find us . I would really like to see some great looks for men . When I type in fashion it comes up all women’s but that doesn’t help me much as I am a mainly men’s designer . I must have help spur in the racing thing from the racing jumpsuit . People seemed to like it .American Eco Fashion Designer Anna Herman

    Its definitely going to be a free spirited year for fashion! Growing up in los angeles theres always a big streetwear aspect, especially amongst the youth, but as a fashion melting pot you wont fail to see peoples personality shine using different styles. Ranging from quiet to absolutely screaming in your face type of fashion. Layers on layers to barely any layers, fitted to absolutely baggy. Whatever you can imagine, its here. That may be a good or a bad thing who knows, but im here for it all! If I could handle that cold New york weather id definitely love to visit sometime to see and visit all these amazing storefronts and pop up shops!

    • @AlejandroJomar
      @AlejandroJomar  20 днів тому +1

      I completely agree, I couldn’t have surprised myself! This is the first time we’re able to live in an era where pretty much anything goes when it comes to menswear in men’s fashion! And I’m excited to see how this blend of styles and this free spirit is going to evolve the way we dress! Also, thank you so much for the recs! 🙏🔥 I haven’t taken a look at the stores yet, because I’m currently at work, but as soon as I get off, I will definitely look through them. I appreciate it so much! Thank you again 😁🔥

    I know ypu love Left Field NYC and I do as well. I just haven't pull the trigger on any of their pieces. But what are your thouhts on RGT, which is another made in America brand.

    • @AlejandroJomar
      @AlejandroJomar  20 днів тому +3

      Wow this is SO crazy because just the other day I said to myself I have to make a video on RGT! Admittedly the only experience I have with them are having seen how my brothers pair is going and how much he loves them. I was thinking of asking him to let me use him for the video LOL! Or even maybe reaching out to them to see what we can do together. I like their jeans a lot, my brother does as well. They faded nicely and had a great fit! The construction was pretty good too (ie. flat felled seams and tucked in belt loops), but I really wanna do that video, because I feel like everyone forgot about them! 👀

    • @trapo5382
      @trapo5382 20 днів тому +1

      @ that kind of was the purpose of my comment as well. I know that dialogue in the comments section helps creators as yourself with ideas for videos. We would love you to do a video on RGT and we will be on the lookout for it.

      @@trapo5382 it absolutely does and i always appreciate it for real! I'm gonna definitely try and see if I can get in contact with them at the very least, and then see if my brother will let me do a video with him on them! Thanks again for the love my friend for real!

      YO I PEEPED OMG I WANTED ONE SO BAD I FUMBLED 🥹🥹 Yall gotta fire me fr fr I’m obviously bad at my job 😓😓 I definitely want an authentic merch jacket licensed by F1 but their clothes high key suck in quality. I almost got the Mercedes Mitchell and Ness varsity jacket as I’m a Mercedes fan but when I tried it on at the F1 pop up in Manhattan, I was highly unimpressed 😩 But when that Caddy merch line drops hopefully they make us some HEAT! 🔥🔥

    Funny to me how straight fit pants are getting back in trend considering its the only cut of pants I wear. Im short, stocky with large thighs and calfs so straight fits are the most flattering fit on me.

    • @AlejandroJomar
      @AlejandroJomar  20 днів тому +2

      Honestly straight pants/jeans to me are always going to be the timeless balance in the middle of baggy and skinny, so I feel like everyone should honestly go more for mainly straight cuts, and then supplement with the other “extreme” fits for fun, if that makes sense 😅😁

      @@AlejandroJomar I recently got a pair of used Boncoura jeans on ebay that were a straight taper and they were so jarring to me cause I haven't worn a none fully straight pant in years lol. Boncoura is a great Japanese brand that I'd love for you to take a look at too!

    Why is it the most expensive clothes or designer always pushed I've looked at the designers he mentioned when the average person is just work to keep a roof over their head but likes to get out and have some fun every now and then. Half of the clothing he showed not the brand but the design of clothing I have in my closet which is considered heritage clothing like the brands like wrangler, Levi,Dickies carrharrt that don't cost 100 to 1000 for a pair of pants, jacket, or boots . Plus my age group is never mentioned in these videos which is from 40s to 60s years rang that seems to be setting some trends in
    the fashion industry as of late you know more like the biker or blue collar worker vibe like flat cap, wide brim fedora, canvas or leather jackets and vest ,boot wallets with chain, pocket or wrist watches you know silver fox rebels 😆 🤣

    I'm unsure how much the baggy "pants" trend made it to Europe. It was massive in the '90s but I have not seen it much in the last 10 years. Even if you go thrifting, it's all slim/skinny/straight fit. Oversized boxy/cropped t-shirts certainly made it big.

    • @AlejandroJomar
      @AlejandroJomar  20 днів тому

      Definitely see it a lot in London and other major cities in Europe, it really is very dependent. And it also tends to take time for these things to trickle into Europe as well. I'd be interested to see by the end of the year what you end up seeing my friend! Would definitely love to follow up on this

    2014 menswear is coming back? 501's, chino shorts, boat shoes? Workwear and Streetwear will continue to rise
    More lobster clasps, more knits, raw denim is getting big again. Knits with zips, jerseys and low profile sneakers

    • @snuffspoon
      @snuffspoon 18 днів тому

      I think like the paraboot boat shoes, chunky boat shoes, and low profile and chunky will be big footwear trends, weird boots like what NFS is doing and like a Nicks Tanker boot, a little resurge of "gorp" and "bloke" will see some waves too, I agree with the tailoring, more pinstripes is what I would add

    I find it interesting how "normal" is trendy. I live in a somewhat unusual place. A very advanced and diverse city, military tech and medical, surrounded by cattle and crops. You'd have the high school and college kids in the city wearing spandex skinny jeans Jersey shore type look. Everyone else has wore straight legs, slim and wide, workwear, and boots continually since the 70s that I know of. In my travels and many moons of life, I've found fashion trends are Hollywood, high school, and college centered. The rest of the country wears what works, normal stuff. I guess fashion is as good a place as any to start bringing normalcy back. God knows we this country needs more normal. Lol JK
    Enjoyed the video, and thank you again for fixing it where i can listen and work.

    • @AlejandroJomar
      @AlejandroJomar  20 днів тому +1

      Agreed my friend! It’s almost poetic in a sense, where fashion in and of itself is rebellious, yet we have rebelled so much and SO far, that fashion in retaliation is moving towards “normality” in response to the maximalism we have seen for years now. It’s so interesting to see the patterns fashion is taking right now. Also, no problem at all about the audio! I’m actively trying to make this as high-quality as possible and improve as I go along. Good to see you here again 😁🙏🔥
