Miguel the real MVP at this tournament. @Hush_U While technically true, that cheap shot from Kwon is what lit the spark and riled everyone up. The Russian team just took advantage and doused gasoline on the fire
For all the people saying the final brawl felt contrived, keep in mind that brawls like this happen in hockey and baseball all the time and for much lesser motivations.
@@Wright805 This guy is stalking me 😄. I disagree. I would say that in any contact (fighting) sport the emotions are more intense and the temptation to act on them is more powerful. I would also keep in mind that we are dealing with teenagers here. Older people (in any sport) would act more professional. I've watched a few real Karate tournaments on UA-cam and they looked nothing like what we see in this show. The contact seems to be quite limited. What we see in the show would be closer to something like MMA. Hence, the Sekei Takai would be a "Team MMA", which I think could easily lead to brawls. One thing I will concede (after watching the season a second time) is that the motivations were kind of weak. They should have done more to explain why all the dojos suddenly joined in the brawl. There was an attempt to setup various rivalries (Tory pissed at Zara, Robby pissed at Kwon, Axel pissed Miguel) but it was not enough to justify what happened.
Not to be that guy, but as soon as the brawl broke out, they would've cut the feed. I don't care if this is a fighting competition, unplanned fighting wouldn't be broadcast
Honestly, in real world logic the whole tournament should be cancelled an abolished forever with or without death as a result of that whole brawl. A single attack being the start of a free for all brawl were everybody fights everybody is shameful for a event were everybody is speaking about Honour, Tradition and Self Control all the time. Having a death because of it should be the nail in the coffin. The international reputation should be tarnished forever.
@@TheTenguwarrior True. One would imagine, a tournament about fighters would have specialists on the protection squad to make sure nothing of this sort ever erupts in the first place. Despite the show just recently emphasizing in the earlier episode, deaths used to happen you would think the place would be weapon or any harm proof. Like all the referees & guards were taken out in one hit, lmao that's lazy writing.
This is all Kreese’s fault. This tragic incident for Kwon ultimately proves that Kreese is the worst sensei. John Kreese is worse than Terry Silver. He instilled all of that blinding rage and hatred and killing motive into Kwon, ultimately leading to his demise. Remember that there is no bad student, only bad teacher.
I hate this logic. You can have a great teacher and still turn out terribly. End of the day, we’re responsible for our decisions. Kwon came into the tournament with zero respect for his peers. He was a problem the moment he touched down in Barcelona.
Even though Kwon’s a student with Kreese and Kim, it was the fact that Daniel WAS THE ONE WHO CHECKED UP ON HIM AND LOOKED SO SHOCKED AND WORRIED AFTER TURNING HIS BODY. It goes to show you that even though Kwon is not Daniel’s student and was playing dirty against the Miyagi-Dos, that Daniel wanted to save him from making the biggest mistake of his life and to protect him especially when it was Daniel who yelled at Kwon to stop. Wonder what’s going to happen in Part 3 and the consequences for all of the dojos who turned a karate tournament into a karate riot which it cost Kwon his life. This is one of the reasons why you don’t play dirty with anger especially when you have a deadly weapon in your hand, you may end up hurting someone real bad and regret it afterwards or hurt yourself instead and in this case, Kwon’s picking up the knife killed him. A lot of dojos are going to get in trouble for starting a karate riot as most dojos was starting the fights, but at least the Spain Dojo and Miyagi-Do was only fighting to defend when the fight comes to them instead of being the one to start the fight, I did like how 2 students from the Spain Dojo teamed up with Hawk and Demetri to help them out with some students of Tiger Strike. So I’m pretty sure the Spain Dojo and Miyagi-Do are going to be safe since they are footage and security cameras around the place to show that. But the one who started the fight is going to be held the most responsible which is going to be the Russian Tiger Strike Dojo. The other dojos who were starting the fights are probably going to have to pay fines. Axel would definitely be taken in for questioning with his involvement of making Kwon fall on the knife which killed him. I don’t know whether or not if Axel did see Kwon holding the deadly weapon, but he was the one who fought Kwon last.
@@lesleechristie5870Both Brandon and Patrick (Kwon and Axel) said that they both think Kwon was hiding the knife well so Axel wasn’t able to see it. So Axel just unknowingly swept Kwon’s leg to counter his kick and made him kill himself.
axel isnt to blame, it was self defense, also i recognised the same thing, daniel was the only one that went to kwon when he was lifeless, goes to show how nice he is.. not saying kreese or kim didnt care tho, you could see the sadness in kreese, couldnt see kim in the scene tho
The way Kwon screamed in pain after falling on the karate knife and impaling himself reminds me of Harry’s scream when he saw Sirius die of Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix (5th movie).
@ Yeah. But if you search up Harry Potter unmuted scream, you can find it. Just make sure it doesn’t give you the wrong sound since people can add any audio when he screamed
Technically, it wasn't his fault. He was just carrying the knife and without realising, he lost it. He didn't pass it to anyone. Morally though, he step-by-step led Kwon to his own death with all the bs he was planting in the kid's head.
Everyone saying RIP Kwon like he's not the mfer that brought a knife to a karate fight. Lmfao. I know it's sad and he's just a kid, but out of context that is one of the funniest villain deaths I've ever seen.
It was Kreese who decided it was a smart idea to bring a deadly weapon into a teenager karate tournament and then he loses it in the chaos. That’s irresponsible and stupid. Kwon was filled with all the crap Kreese filled his head with and took it to heart. He was filled with blind rage and adrenaline. He was just a kid, he didn’t need to die. Kreese is responsible. Kwon made a bad choice.
You’re basically contradicting yourself. Just because he was an asshole doesn’t mean he deserved to die. He was just a kid brainwashed by Cobra Kai. This is what “no mercy” does, and this is why “no mercy” isn’t the right way. No kid deserves to die in such a barbaric way.
When the dojo vs dojo vs dojo karate brawl started, it was nice to see that at least we get to see some students of the Spain dojo (Yellow Gis) helping Hawk & Demetri with students from Tiger Strike (Red Gis). Goes to show you that even though some of the other dojos were starting fights with one another, at least we know the Spain Dojo was actually teaming up with Miyagi Do to only fight when the fight comes to them and not be the ones to start the fight. Two Hawks = DOUBLE TROUBLE 😈❤️🔥
@ Wonder why it was only the Spain Dojo, Miyagi-Do & Tory that was fighting fair & smart and not dirty. When the other dojos were turning the Sekai Taikai into chaos once the Tiger Strike Sensei said to continue the karate brawl
@@FreakyFrankMan Yeah, but the other dojos are definitely going to be in more trouble than them. Tiger Strike is probably going to be banned forever for coming back and starting it to begin with.
I have a feeling that was set up. I think Silver had something to do with it. He really wanted to further the humiliation of Cobra Kai and Kreese, so I think he may have had a hand in getting the Russians eliminated. I don't put anything last Silver.
@@salserio6727i said the same thing wouldnt surprise me if silver planted the peds and snitched himself just to further embarass both cobra kai and miyagi do and also have some other dojos out of the way for sake of burying then 2 main dojos
I thought Daniel was going to get in front of Axel and get stabbed, I was scared of that. I didn’t expect this at all. just wow. It’s so heartbreaking. This episode broke me
Kreese in ep 6 'In a fight you'd rather be the one holding the knife' Johnny in ep 6 'It's not the weapon that matters but the person who uses it' Kwon found out the hardest way, is it still a war now Kreese? Now that kids are dying? A shocking and unbelievable episode to end this second part, CGI Miyagi probably wasn't needed and the big brawl still doesn't quite match the energy S2's finale had, plus Axel beefing with Miguel is incredibly dumb, but still what an episode, part 3 is gonna be insane.
The actor that played Kwon said he had to hold his breath filming that knife scene and when Daniel turned him over the knife was moving and you can hear the director going Daniel can you hold the knife so it not moving 😂
honestly, it might be a hard take. But I don’t feel bad for him. He decided to grab the knife and try to use it on axle. You play stupid games you win stupid prizes.
God damn this show is so good. This feels just as cinematic as the movies. They really made something special. It's very rare to get the end of a season and not feel disappointed at least a little bit. This easily stands up against the originals and in some ways surpasses them. I really didn't expect this out of the show. I loved the first season, but I put off watching the second because I was worried they would choose to coast on nostalgia. Then it started to slip my mind. I would see that it was still going and thought that was neat, but with Agatha All Along done, caught up with Lower Decks and What We Do In The Shadows, I finally decided to give it a shot. What a decision that was. This was a great experience and I am so excited for how they are going to wrap it up. I hope this does lead to a film revival and maybe bringing Swank, Chan, and Smith back into the mix, because if any team could do them justice and make up for old mistakes this team can.
His own actions are gonna bite him in the butt for what he did for letting his student use the knife (which was Kreese fault for walking through the riot instead of around)
I have been saying that the whole Miyagi storyline is a setup for a Myagi prequel series or movie. It just feels like they are covering a perfect story for a series.
I was completely shocked with Kwon accidentally killed himself with the knife. I was speechless and shocked in horror. I watched the rest of Part-Two on Saturday afternoon.
If the Russian senseis had taken full responsibility like adults for providing doping to their students and left Barcelona to avoid facing even worse repercussions, the brawl would not have started. Want to see the Russians go to jail in Part 3 for assaulting the chiefs of the tournament and contributing to the death of a competitor. Who thinks the same as me?
When Kwon picked up that knife I had the split thought that he's gonna accidentally hurt himself but immediately thought, 'I don't think they'll do that.' then in the end they did worse
For all people who is saying that they will close the tournament after this, remember when senseis were talking about fighters dying in the sekai teikai? That’s not the first tragedy, so I don’t think they are gonna close it because of the death of character that only us, watchers, considered important
Sensei Wolf is Cole Young from the MK movie (2021) Carsten Norgaard as Coach Wolf "The Dentist" Stansson From D2 the Mighty Ducks plays Gunther Rayna Vallandingham (Zara) is a 4th degree blackbelt in Taekwondo Amanda larusso actress also plays Missy Cooper in TBBT
Congrats on busting 150k. After the Russian chick (Wrestler from AEW) put the girl through a Table, then Devon was kinda using a chair...I was waiting for a ladder to appear somewhere. Honestly, I was kinda spoiled on the Kwon death because I searched reactions to episode 8 after watching it. However, I thought that Daniel might be the cause of his death (accidentally) because of all of the foreshadowing surrounding the Sekai Taikai and Mr. Miyagi's role in it.
LOVE COBRA KAI SO MUCH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Rewatching Part 2 for the 5th time and man rip to Kwon man . Every time I see him fall on that knife and can still hear his screams man. Still shocking and still heartbroken. Kwon’s hatred and non acceptance of losing while using the No Mercy philosophy is what ended his life. Now Kreese needs to actually acknowledge his actions and actually become better from it, like how many people need to die for him to get the message. Strike First, Strike Hard & No Mercy are not good philosophies to be learning and doing.
If the guy is smart, he'll completely cancel the Sekai Takai tournament. Between the brawl breaking out and then Kwon dying, I'd argue they'd have to cancel it. The host guy doesn't seem like the type that would prioritize a karate tournament over the death of one of its competitors. I think he's just going to kick everyone out and send them all home. We'll have to see in February when part 3 comes out.
I feel so bad for axel, I really hope no one’s blames him. I can’t not root for silver, he’s one of my all time favourite villains and those kicks are hypnotising
So sad Kwon is out🥺 He was such an interesting character. He has so much talent and such a skilled fighter in the series. He is the true definition of an antagonist for a karate show! His appearance, the hair, his character and strength. He had everything a karate villain needed. A real life anime villain! I liked him very much and the darkest cobra kai has ever gotten!
I think kwons death was the kick in the pants that kreese needed to turn him good. Jury is out wondering about silver. We seen that this affected him too.
To be honest, Kwon did started the cheap shot on attacking Robby before the Russians in Red started the all-out war battle royale. I guess that's karma for what happens to Kwon after he uses Kreese's Eunjangdo
Kwon didnt deserve that, but in the end he brought it upon himself, he was gonna hurt Axel and the karma kicked in, Kwon was my favorite character so that sucks
Cobra Kai part 2 finale was unexpected that everyone started fighting each other and Axel saw Kwon attacking Sam and then Axel started to fight Kwon and then Kwon holded the knife and died and it was a bit caused by Axel.
What captain are we talking about after such an event? The whole tournament better get cancelled. As for Yoon, he should have been the captain in the first place. Kwon might have been stronger, but brute force is not what makes a leader. Yoon understands things that Kwon couldn't. When asked how to defeat an opponent who fights with heart, he said "by having heart yourself", he followed his captain, he trusted in his teacher (Kim), he was willing to accept a stranger as his teacher, also willing to accept a stranger in his team and cooperate. He has the mindset and the spirit of a leader.

Miguel the real MVP at this tournament. First ensured the team didn’t get knocked out…then single handedly ensured qualification into the final 16…knocked some sense into Robbie to be a proper captain…Was the first one breach Axel’s defence…heck he even knocked some sense into his own Senseis when they were bickering and fighting. Miguel is the real leader in this team
Yep even tho axel is too OP he even got kwon to kill himself miguel still would have lost against him but wouldve put up a great fight but im glad i wasnt the only one who noticed that detail although every1 who went up against axel lost including miguel he was really the only 1 who managed to get a couple of successful hits on him showing us axel does have weaknesses but too bad had to be a sore loser and kill himself trying to kill axel 🤦♂️🤦♂️

For all the people saying the final brawl felt contrived, keep in mind that brawls like this happen in hockey and baseball all the time and for much lesser motivations.
True, but like you say, that's in hockey and baseball. Karatekas should have far more discipline.
@@Wright805
This guy is stalking me 😄.
I cried when Kwon died, it was so shocking.
I did, too. Don't get me wrong. I can't stand him. But at the end of the day, he's a teenager who died because of a stupid decision.

Yeah so unrealistic. It took them for someone to fucking die for them to cut the feed
@@TheTenguwarrior exactly.
@@TheTenguwarrior True. One would imagine, a tournament about fighters would have specialists on the protection squad to make sure nothing of this sort ever erupts in the first place. Like all the referees & guards were taken out in one hit, lmao that's lazy writing.
21:33 Cobra Kai Never Dies... well now it did... I legitimately started shaking when typing this... so sad that it happened to Kwon 😢
This is all Kreese’s fault. This tragic incident for Kwon ultimately proves that Kreese is the worst sensei. John Kreese is worse than Terry Silver. He instilled all of that blinding rage and hatred and killing motive into Kwon, ultimately leading to his demise. Remember that there is no bad student, only bad teacher.
ik this is no better, but kreese should of kept the blade in his gee, so then kwon wouldnt of used it to kill, and he would still be alive
I hate this logic. You can have a great teacher and still turn out terribly. End of the day, we’re responsible for our decisions. Kwon came into the tournament with zero respect for his peers. He was a problem the moment he touched down in Barcelona.
I feel bad for Axel a good honest fighter he was trying to peacefully disarm his opponent but the opponent landed on his own blade
I don’t think Axel would be in trouble, he acted in self defense.
@ Did Axel see the knife Kwon had in his hand?
Axel isn’t getting in trouble there’s already clips of part 3 & they continue on with the tournament.
@@lesleechristie5870Both Brandon and Patrick (Kwon and Axel) said that they both think Kwon was hiding the knife well so Axel wasn’t able to see it. So Axel just unknowingly swept Kwon’s leg to counter his kick and made him kill himself.
axel isnt to blame, it was self defense,
also i recognised the same thing, daniel was the only one that went to kwon when he was lifeless, goes to show how nice he is.. not saying kreese or kim didnt care tho, you could see the sadness in kreese, couldnt see kim in the scene tho
Love how you guys are one of the few reactors to this show that actually appreciates the music/score
The way Kwon screamed in pain after falling on the karate knife and impaling himself reminds me of Harry’s scream when he saw Sirius die of Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix (5th movie).
You don’t even hear him scream they completely mute his voice in that scene
@ Yeah. But if you search up Harry Potter unmuted scream, you can find it. Just make sure it doesn’t give you the wrong sound since people can add any audio when he screamed
“There’s no such thing as bad student.. only bad teacher”.
I wonder if Kreese will pay the price for bringing the knife in the tournament.
Technically, it wasn't his fault. He was just carrying the knife and without realising, he lost it. He didn't pass it to anyone. Morally though, he step-by-step led Kwon to his own death with all the bs he was planting in the kid's head.
But remember Sensei Kim knows Miyagi-Do took the knife from Kreese. But doesn’t know if it was returned. She might blame Chosen ….
She knows, she did tell him, plus, Kreese pretty much calmed down on the knife thing, though not the “Kill Silver” part
theres no proof its his, unless if daniel, johnny or chozen snitch, heck even silver
He absolutely should. He brought a weapon to a public tournament and attempted murder on Silver
Everyone saying RIP Kwon like he's not the mfer that brought a knife to a karate fight. Lmfao. I know it's sad and he's just a kid, but out of context that is one of the funniest villain deaths I've ever seen.
Ooc, yes, it's just stupid. But script wise, it was indeed such a tragedy.
the actual thing is tragic, but now reading this from an out of context perspective, i can see why
The mfer who brought the knife to a tournament was Kreese! He's responsible for a kid dying on the tournament!
Two Hawks = DOUBLE TROUBLE 😈❤️🔥
i recognised that, as demetri calls the yellow gee guy 'spanish hawk' and hawk, the team up is sick imo
@ Wonder why it was only the Spain Dojo, Miyagi-Do & Tory that was fighting fair & smart and not dirty.

A shocking and unbelievable episode to end this second part, CGI Miyagi probably wasn't needed and the big brawl still doesn't quite match the energy S2's finale had, plus Axel beefing with Miguel is incredibly dumb, but still what an episode, part 3 is gonna be insane.
I think Miguel was just frustrated because he couldn't land a hit, so he got even angrier during the brawl.
The actor that played Kwon said he had to hold his breath filming that knife scene and when Daniel turned him over the knife was moving and you can hear the director going Daniel can you hold the knife so it not moving 😂

@@RoblackLett Thankyou! I got eaten up in another comment for not feeling bad 😅
I thought the final fight was a bit silly and lost the roots but the dagger scene was top tier
I have a feeling that Kwon dying is going to make everyone stop feuding

I was completely shocked with Kwon accidentally killed himself with the knife. I was speechless and shocked in horror.
I watched the rest of Part-Two on Saturday afternoon.
If the Russian senseis had taken full responsibility like adults for providing doping to their students and left Barcelona to avoid facing even worse repercussions, the brawl would not have started. Want to see the Russians go to jail in Part 3 for assaulting the chiefs of the tournament and contributing to the death of a competitor. Who thinks the same as me?
Absolutely.
This episode was completely insane and what a way to end part 2
When Kwon picked up that knife I had the split thought that he's gonna accidentally hurt himself but immediately thought, 'I don't think they'll do that.' then in the end they did worse
For all people who is saying that they will close the tournament after this, remember when senseis were talking about fighters dying in the sekai teikai? Daniel can`t die in this show. The character is already in 2025 film Karate Kid Legends.
