Eye issues here also Larry. But a few eye drops each day seem to help me. Nothing like what you are dealing with there. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! Hi Larry, Always enjoy your videos! Glad to see you back! I have had a lot of eye surgery, cataracts, detached retina surgery in both eyes so I get it.
My wife got that when she was 30 very very early and was treated for it as you are. Thats ten years ago now and her vision is much much better today. She will have the cornea replaced soon. Her vision is better now then it was when she was ten years old, she had very strong glasses most of her life. So dont give up, there is good treatment out there. I wish you luck.

As I write this, I just heard you in a QSO on 40m from here in California. You were very faint....but I recognized the call! I'm still running the 2nd multi-band dipole I built based on your design! So sorry to hear you're having vision issues. Please just keep doing the best you can. You will be in my prayers my friend. Glad to hear you'll be able to keep doing some UA-cam vids! I lost my midland 10 band radio to corrosion during Hurricane Katrina that I have had since high school. I missed it. I just bought old realistic 8 band. I didn't realize how much I missed portable radio. Thankyou for the memories. 50 years of fun shortwave listening. I also have cataract removed. I am very lucky. Good luck. KF5CNC 73

OMG, Im So So Sorry About Your Eye Vision, Im 33 And I Havbe Similar Problem To My Left Eye, It Started When I Drinked Alcahol With My Friends, Next Day I Had Hangover And On Hangover I Never Drinked Alcahol , But This Time Friends Said That I Need To Drink because Of My Bad Heart, They Where Worried That My Heart Would Not Keep Up, So I Drank One Beer Bottle, 0.5ML . I Drove to home witch bicycle and then back to friends and when i drove back to my friends i fell from the bike, then i stood up and tried to ride again and i realised that my left eye is not fully showing everything, the bottom of the left eye is dark, nothing there, well, that was when i was 16 years old, now im 33 and that problem is still there and its slowly growing bigger :( so When I Say I Know What It Feels Like, I Actually Know. I Wish I Could Help you In Some Way Man :(

Hi Larry, Ive suffered very similar issues with my vision as well. It is defiantly no fun, glad you are still producing content. I am currently rebuilding my shack loosely based on your rack mount desk. Received a free enclosure from a friend last week, in the process of ordering some faceplates for my scanners and HF rigs.

got an eight-man solid state shortwave radio that works when you plug it in but won't work with the batteries do you think it could be fixed or should I toss it
Chances are good that it could be fixed. It sounds like it is a problem with the battery compartment wires that run into the radio to the board or battery terminal problems, sometimes the wires get corroded and fall off the compartment terminals or PC board internally. My first guess anyhow. Best of luck.

I got Ocular Implants and never looked back. The best thing I did for my eye site.

Hey Larry, my eye sight has gon bad with my strokes, so no fine work either. I did have catracks (sp) removed at least a can see without glasses1
