In the sixties and seventies Christian Lee would have been a huge star, in the tradition of Tommy Cooper. The Royal Variety Show seems to be the only place television audiences get to see that kind of stuff nowadays.
Christian Lee is one of the best acts on the show. He may not go for hardcore magic because he mixes it with comedy. And I think he is more into comedy than he is for magic. magic is just to add a bit of spice to his comedy acts. Great guy!

I'm a professional full time magician illusionist and mentalist. Been performing on stages and homes you name it. When it comes to magic the trick is only 10% and the presentation is the other 90%. This guy has a great presentation and that's what matters. Simon just wants another Adel or Kelly Clarkson in the finals and doesnt appreciate other styles of talent

Now, simon may come across as an ass but again he's never really like magicians unless they've really wowed him and what i like is that christian went for what the audience would like, not the judges.
No one cares. The fact that he's entertaining people is the point of his act. If you where looking for technically sound magic then you obviously have poor judgement in viewing material.
Is it bad for an act to be great specifically for the children? CHILDREN make up a huge AUDIENCE in the show business, its totally amazing if its great for children as well as for ..witty adults..and not reprehensible granpas!!
