I think I might have some lore for this, basically Whitty noticed something was up when Carol tried searching for GF, and despite not really liking her or BF, he still wanted to make Carol happy, so he went over to GF's house to find that the door was already opened, then he saw the game and- Yeah, you probably know what happens next...

I don't know what will happen if Turmoil did try to eat Whitty. If I remember correctly, Yoshi can eat Bob-omb but can't swallow them, and when they puke it out it ignited immediately, but in some game Yoshi can eat it wholely. However considering that Turmoil didn't eat BF in the way like Yoshi did I think both will die.
Anyways that isn't the first time I've seen someone else making Whitty as a Bob-omb.
