I love watching this series with stories (cases) from Judge Di Renjie, formerly the Duke Wen Hui of Liang. (No relation to my family of Liang). He was an outstanding, proficient judge who resolved 10,000 cases during the Tang Dynasty. Zhou Yi is an excellent lead in this mystery drama. I love the sets, costumes and cast.
I also liked & respected Zhou Yi-wei since Rebel Princess, series with the most outstanding costumes! His lady friend jyst had to be the most beautiful & truly ladylike person ever! The cast was great & the actors outstanding! You could never have found a more suitable actor than Zhou Yi-wei for the role of Judge Dee! Some scenes are very cruel, but that’s what man to man history was all about! Thank you for this outstanding series! Trudie Snyman South Africa!

Not many actor could played as the famous Di Renjie that'd being believed had the male body's characteristics of tall, with a little bent, sharp but naive of the innocent faced, always hidden his marshal art technique until really needed, when he said left it's mean wrong, but right gonna be centre ahead, stop mean right... hopefully understandable.
I saw all the episodes, there won't be a sequel or it's over and there will be a 2nd part, please, it always happens that the series doesn't come back and we're like halfway through. Thanks

Yes they’re based on the same historical character from the Tang Dynasty! But this series is adapted from Robert Van Gulik’s novels which you can read in English!
So disappointing. If you've read Van Gulik books you'll know his Judge Dee is noble and raffine. The chinese society he discribe is so much more authentic. Not this speed up mess. Costums, set, society. Nothing makes sense here !
