A great Captain and great team leader and a headed to great finished the world cup touch. Waseem Akram and Imran Khan plus Aqib Javed and a team with Javaid Mian dad.
Well Javed got out in 40th over and the score was 163 so basically they added 114 runs in the next 20 overs after having a really slow start scoring just 25runs in 10overs during their partnership(10-20overs). That's impressive. Kohli and KL rahul tried to imitate the same approach in 2023WC final but failed miserably after getting the team into a difficult position of reaching a point of no return!
Imran promoted himself to number three, in semi final and the final. Who can imagine, the prime bowler of his times batted like a complete batsman in both the matches. He made 44 in semies and 70 in finals. He came when Pakistan were 20/1. Then he played almost perfect innings, except a bad shot in 21st over when Gooch could not hold a difficult catch. Except that shot, his batting was flawless and next to perfect. He batted so cautiously with soft hands. Waited for his time and then started slogging. His body language was so cool throughout his innings that he never seemed under pressure. But we can't take credit out from Javed Miyandad.. In fact, two best warriors of Pakistan knitted the innings beautifully, ball by ball, run by run, and succeeded in a marathon battle. They kept scoreboard ticking so that the later ones could capitalize, Inzamam artistically and Akram aggressively.. Love from India 🇮🇳

Pakistan first and only visiting country to win cricket World Cup 1992 and hockey World Cup 1994 in Australia. Too bad we lost the first t20 World Cup played in Australia last year.
This match was played when I was 16yo and my last day of matric exams was on, (in the afternoon). After the exam, I was on the way back home and hearing the noise of public joy from shops in the streets. The match planning of Pakistan was great with the luck that we won the toss. Both England and New Zealand had won all 10 matches of their pools, but New Zealand lost its match in the semifinals against Pakistan. Now Khan was on making England tired and played with confidence and slow in the start (same as boxer Muhammad Ali does against his opponents). England was under pressure while Pakistan was a bit relaxed.
This was the best day for Pakistani cricket and for all the Pakistanis. Thanks very much for uploading it. Imran lead the team so beautifully. What I am not happy about is the last 10 or 15 minutes of this recording. The last 15 min shows only the highlights of the match. I wanted to see every ball that Imran bowled in his last three overs. I do not know any player in history of cricket or in any sport who performed so well in his last match and said farewell to cricket with such a big victory and with so much respect and love that Imran khan achieved in his last match. This shows that any thing can be achieved if we work hard with honesty. I like this match because both captains played the match with lots of thinking, methodology and technique. It's very obvious that both captains like test cricket. This game is a perfect example of how the one day game can be played by players who are good test cricketers and like test cricket. Both captains Imran and Gooch were very good test cricket players. Their test record speak for itself. Imran knew the weaknesses and strengths of his players. He knew that Inzamam have problems with playing the new ball and Saleem is going through a bad patch so Imran decided to come at number 3 and used his experience to bat and then left when the ball is old and Inzamam and Wasim can bat and accelerate. Imran knew all this but not the commentators who kept saying that Imran is playing slow. Imran was not playing slow, he was playing wisely. If you look at the world series one day or test matches in Australia, historically, Pakistanis batsman never felt batting confidently in Australia. Imran bated so well and created the opportunity for Pakistan to win.
Most important part of this match which went unnoticed, was that, magnificent bowling spell of Amir Sohail, who was not regular bowler but completed 10 overs much efficiently..aijaz could have spoiled it.. thnx ik did not continue aijaz for bowling
