Good doubt..In fact your correct that we can consider no load copper Losses also..But if u calculate it and see you will hardly get 10 w which is quite a negligible value consider the total no load losses....
Ive been stuck on this question The input of a DC motor is 18a at 125v. The output is 3.5hp. What is the efficiency, am i missing values that are supposed to be given in the equation?
Hi . Thanks ... What happens if u are not given , the armature current and field resistance losses and terminal voltage ? How do u find no load losses in such cases ?
I have not made exactly as per gate syllabus, however all the concepts and much more is covered, you may want to work out additional numerical on the basis of the lectures for exams like Gate
The speed at no load is 1150 RPM and speed at rated is 1200 RPM. How is this possible since at no load Field current has decreased so flux will decrease Hence speed has to increased and it should be more than 1200 RPM. please explain it sir
we are calculating efficiency @1200rpm and the no load values are given @1150rpm, so i think from magnetisation curve we need to fetch the new data for no load @ 1200 rpm...it's completely my view, i may be wrong...proper explaination is needed sir..please help
Thank you so much sir.
From Sri Lanka.❤️
Very help ful video for us . Thankyou. Thank you very much sir.
Nice vedio
Sir at no load 13.2 A is flowing through armature So should we not consider copper loss in armature while finding core loss + mech loss?
thanks

Very helpful sir..thank you 🙏

Sir can you please also make videos on induction motor!
Your videos are really good!
After transformers
Hello sir, thanks for giving us a wonderful content.
Can you pleasr make a video on braking of dc motor
why to find separate resistances we can directly do p= VI

Do we calculate losses at rated condition only ??
❤️❤️
Sir abt short and long shunt compound motors.
Thank u so much sir........
Sir gate syllabus is completed in this videos or not ?

What is the meaning of 50hp motor in the question
Thank you sir
Solve some complex problems on efficiency
since armature copper losses are small at no load condition so we had neglected them
