Hi Deano and many thanks mate, I’m really pleased with all three of these locos, they all look and run great, can’t ask for more than that to be honest. That’s for the best wishes too mate - much appreciated. 👍🏻. Cheers. ………. Graham
Good morning Graham all engines looking great. Its not very often that the west country class doesn't wheel slip you driving is magnificent as always. Oh and sod the moaners I can watch all day. Take care my friend chat soon. Stephen
Hi Stephen and many thanks for the comment mat and much appreciated too. The West Country Class were famous for wheel slipping apparently and this model doesn’t disappoint in many ways, it looks a powerful beast just sitting on the track not even moving - love it! You take care as well mate and yes, chat soon. 👍🏻👍🏻. Cheers. …………Graham
Graham it's nice to see you keeping your hand in, in some form or another. Nice to see Lakeside Steam Works, is being kept busy. At this rate the kitchen table might get a works building, rails and ballasted.😂 I wont tell the missus if you dont. Thank you for keeping us in the loop. Hope all goes well on the 12th.
Hi Mickey and thank you for the comment, I don’t think I have worked on that kitchen table so much as I have over recent weeks, I think poor Hazel has now just given up on that now!! 😂. I now can’t wait for the 12th to arrive so I can get this eye sorted out once and for all, it’s driving me nuts at the moment. Cheers. ………..Graham
Thank you my friend for the comment, I actually can’t tell which one is my favourite out of those three, they are all good for their own reasons but you’re right, 34090 does look gorgeous in that Southern livery and yellow pin-striping, very striking! 👍🏻. Cheers. …………Graham
Hi my dear friend and thank you for the kind comment especially about the eye operation. I’m really pleased with all three of these locos and will all be a welcome addition to the existing fleet. 👍🏻. Cheers. ………..Graham
Hi Davie and thank you, yes I like those too but at the same time I like the West Country too, all three have a certain attraction about them but all for different reasons I guess. Cheers. ……….Graham
Hi Graham, always enjoyable to spend 20 minutes or longer with you. The 2mt is handsome. Wishing you all the best for your op. Cheers and look forward to the next one.
Thank you very much David for that very kind comment, I really appreciate that and yes, the 2MT looks a stunner in real life, I think I will do a little video of it in the future showing it in more detail. A week Monday and it should all be over as regards the eye operation and then hopefully a few days for it to recover so not long now! 👍🏻👍🏻. Cheers. …………Graham
Thank you very much for the kind comment Dave, I’m certainly now looking forward to the 12th when hopefully I can start getting back to some form of normality after that, it’s been what appears to be a long time but actually they got me in much quicker than I thought they would so that’s all good. 👍🏻👍🏻. Cheers. ………….Graham
Worthwhile additions to your Fleet Graham, hope Opp goes well so you can get back to your Hobbies, It must be a tad frustrating at the moment I'm sure all will be sorted, best wishes, Colin.
Thank you Colin, that’s very kind of you to say sir! It is very frustrating at the moment as it’s stopping me doing so many things on a day-to-day basis, it’s times like this that you appreciate having good eyesight. Cheers. ……….Graham
Thanks Barry and yes hopefully after about a week after surgery then I hope things will start to going back to some form of normality again - can’t wait ! Cheers. ………..Graham
3 beauties there Graham. 34090 looked lovely running round especially with the natural light shining on it. Hope all goes well on the 12th for you. All the best.
Yeah I know, I’m very lucky to have these three running on the layout, out of the three then 34090 certainly takes the charm award, what a beautiful looking loco that is. 👍🏻. Cheers. ………..Graham
Nice video Graham. Nice to see you've got a few locos up and running and getting them going on your layout. Hope the OP goes well in a couple of days. Tim
Many thanks Tim for the comment, really appreciate that and it was great to see all three running together, that was the first time for me too! I had the same operation back in 2018 but on the other side and that went 100% so I hope this one will too. 👍🏻. Cheers. ………..Graham
Hi Graham, I think you should ignore the individual who says your videos are too long. Whilst it may be "their preference", they are most certainly in the minority. You are a content creator, and a good one at that, and a long video justifies making a large mug of tea and getting comfortable, longer video means more content. Hope the eye op goes well and you make a swift recovery.
Morning Darren and thanks for the comment. I replied to the chap saying a few home truths and as far as I’m concerned that’s the end of it, no one dictates to me how long my videos should be - I will do as I want and if folk don’t like it then they can move on to another video, it’s really not a problem for me. 👍🏻😉. Cheers. ………..Graham
Hi Steve and you are absolutely correct about the locos being a personal preference, everyone will have their own individual choice for many reasons, to be honest, I can’t make up my mind for the overall choice, I think all three are great ! Cheers. ………Graham
Hi. Love the 2mt. Great loco. I like your videos being long. Sitting down with a coffee and a decent video to watch. Take no notice of the person who said your videos are too long. Keep up the good work.
Hi Les and you do the same as me, if the video is interesting then I will watch it - with a coffee too! Don’t worry, I don’t take any notice, I will do what I like and if folk don’t like it then they can go and one - simples! 😂😂. Cheers. ……….Graham
Hi Fred and many thanks mate, can’t believe that it’s only a couple of days away now after all this time, be glad when it’s over and done with now. Cheers. ………..Graham
Hi Stephen and thank you, the sun was causing real problems trying to film this, it was either very bright or very dark but hopefully you got the gist of it. 👍🏻. Cheers. …………Graham
You're doing great under the circumstances, a real bonus to see you in my livestream, it was like Brian May dropping in on a pub gig lol. It's amazing, for years I despised malashite (sic) green, then a switch got thrown in my head and now i love it plus the yellow pinstripe looks brilliant. Take care & carry on regardless.
Thanks Andy, I must admit that it’s not easy just at the moment but it keeps me out of mischief for a little while. I agree with you as regards the Malashite (😂) green and I was exactly the same, for some strange reason I started liking it especially with that yellow pinstripe, havent a clue as to why I changed my mind! I think Brian May has got more hair than me - well just a little but I will take that as a compliment, I need all the compliments I can muster at the moment! 😂😂. Cheers. …………Graham
Hi Graham and Hazel. You have some brilliant looking locos there Graham. Well done with sorting the spam can out, does look the business. Do you think hornby have uped their game since Simon has gone, some lovely detail on your new one. Still not long to wait to get that troublesome eye sorted. Thanks for showing us Graham. Hope it wasn't to long for the a*******. Stay safe buddy. Pete.
Thank you so much for the comment Pete, yes, all three are running nicely now, especially the Spam Can considering what had to be done to it - all good now though. I think Hornby have upped their game but I’m not sure that it’s all down to Simon going, I think they were doing that in the background before he left to be honest. A 21 pin socket and a new type of connection between loco and tender must have been put on the drawing board long before he left - I assume! No mate, not long now before the operation, can’t wait to get that over and done with now. I will probably get a comment to say that the video was too short now! 😂😂😂. Anyway, have a great time at Doncaster and spend, spend, spend! 😂. Cheers. Graham
Thanks mate and I’m sure that there might be a few more that make their appearance too, I still have some to have a look at and see if I can get them running again - keeps me out of mischief and stope me getting bored. 👍🏻. Cheers. …………Graham
75027 is not an Ivatt, it is a Riddle B.R. Standard Class 4 a bigger version of the 2MT. B.R. Standard Class Tender locos from Class 8 to Class 2 where numbered in the series 70xxx to 78xxx. B.R. Standard Tank engines Class 4 to Class 2 are numbered in the series 80xxx to 84xxx. Class 9F are numbered in the series 92xxx. Ivatt locos where built by the L.M.S. prior to nationalisation in 1947.
Overall 3 quite nice looking engines there Graham, I specifically like the bulleid pacific in that ex SR Green but with the early British Railways crest on it, the 2MT is also nice and one I am considering getting but with the later crest even though I’m not a huge fan of Mogul steam locomotives, that third one isn’t an Ivatt I don’t think, it looks more like a standard class 4mt, like I say overall 3 nice locomotives there, keep up the good work Graham.
Thanks David, I guess we are all lucky that we do have multiple choices in liveries to choose from, either to suit the region/era modelled or just like it. I’m the latter, what it looks like is all that matters to me. Cheers. ……….Graham
He he, funny you should say that John because I was thinking the exact same think - that would wind the little bugger up wouldn’t it! 😂😂. Cheers. ………..Graham
Hi Peter and thank you for the comment. To be honest I hadn’t picked up on the chimney being slightly wonky but that’s not surprising at the moment, I will have a look at it though but I will leave that until after I’ve had my operation and see what I can do. 👍🏻. Cheers. ………Graham
Hope your procedure is a complete success and that you can quickly get back to your layout. The loco’s run as good as they look, take care.
Wow some stunning additions to your fleet there Graham, good luck with the operation all the best.

What a fantastic trio, Graham! 3 stunners- 34090 is my personal favorite... love that style, but all 3 are just pieces to be proud to own!
