Many mistakes are made very often, this shows how serious these mistakes can be. Some videos have even been cut short to not show any injuries.
This is a reminder of how important it is to obey the traffic rules to make the road safer for all of us.

He really shouldn't have opened the door. He didn't know who was driving that car, could have been some loony. Good way to get killed
5:50 "get him out". No! Unless the vehicle is in danger of exploding, you leave him where he is! Moving someone after an accident, could cause serious additional injuries, and because of shock, they won't realize it's happening. Example: My late husband tried to stand up, and walk home after a motorcycle accident. He had and open book break of his pelvis. His pelvis also had two hairline fractures, that would have broken with no one to help. Thankfully, when the fractures were discovered, he was already on the operating table. (He lived another 10 years)
Hate to break it to you but cars rarely explode who knows about the new electric ones tho what you meant is if its on fire.
Reminds me of my dad. He once slipped on his motorcycle, but he managed to not injure himself with that. Then he lifted by bike up and suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back and thought nothing of it and drove home.
Eventually he finally got convinced to go to the hospital and one of his vertebrae had collapsed like a house of cards, he was incredibly lucky that it didnt have any serious consequences.
I think they wanted to get him out mainly bc of the fcat that police are there, and may want him to get out of the driver's seat, or i could be thinking too much into it, bc it could very well be just inexperience
0:09 That seemed like a throttle jamming to me. He was quick to pull it out of gear and tried his best to regain control and almost saved it. He was also smart in the fact that rather than drive away embarrassed, he parked the car. If it happened once it can happen again unless the issue is fixed. Be careful showing off. Even if you are the best driver in the world, a malfunction or accident can happen

He realizes his mistake and the driver from whose car we're viewing the footage should've also realized that it was no big deal and that he's a fellow human being.

Sometimes I wish traffic lights had cameras so any time someone ran a red light, they'd get punished for it, because it's just asking for an accident to happen. I don't care if you just didn't notice, if that's the case, what the hell were you doing instead of paying attention to the road?
You joking right? Or are you really young? Depending on where you live, they used to do that, but people complained about them and had them taken down.
The problem with red light cameras is that they don't just catch the blatant red light runners who blow through the light several seconds after it has changed; they also catch innocent motorists who miss the light change by a tiny fraction of a second.

@@Milesco As far as I'm aware, traffic lights have a yellow light as well, so if you drive through when the light goes red, it's not like you had zero warning that the light was changing.
Plus, it 'should' be pretty easy to give the camera maybe 0.5s of red light before it actually activates upon someone running the light, that way people who just happened to go through when it went red wouldn't get penalized, but after half a second, you should have stopped. Since, y'know, the yellow light was already warning you.
As I said to ShadowsandCityLights, I don't drive, so forgive me if I'm wrong there, I always assumed the yellow light meant "If you're super-close, go, if not, stop you moron, it's changing to red now."
@@Kaiimei Since you don't drive, you don't really understand the problem. Yes, the existence of a yellow light tells you that a red light is coming up, but it doesn't tell you precisely _when._ And precision is crucial, because these fully electronic devices (unlike motorists, which are human), operate on tiny fractions of a second.
All drivers sometimes get caught in a situation where they are confronted with a light that suddenly turns yellow, and they are in that crucial zone where they have to make a split-second decision whether to slam on the brakes or take their chances and continue on through. Traffic engineers even have a name for this: it's called the "dilemma zone". Even the best drivers can't make a perfect prediction every time, and will occasionally miss the red light by a fraction of a second.
In the old days, this problem was mitigated by the fact that the likelihood of a cop being _right there_ when that happens is low. But an electronic red light camera is ALWAYS there, always on duty, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
But I do agree that a fair grace period would help somewhat, although I think it would need to be more than half a second. I think 0.75 to 1.0 second would be reasonable.
But that would reduce the revenues of the for-profit companies that operate these cameras, and the municipalities that hire them. So there's a built-in financial conflict of interest that needs to be addressed as well.
A driver who is drunk or high on drugs can do most anything, but the ones that REALLY scare me are the stone-cold sober idiots.

Sometimes I walk home from school and once I saw this car who didn’t have their turn signal turn, while I was walking on the crosswalk. About 3 ft away from hitting me but pissed me off 😢

@@beekeeper8474 even the police/gov in the UK are slowly adopting new policies (not nationwide yet) in regards to moped and quad bike thefts that basically let them knock people off it. Best bit is, they can't be sued for it, and any injury you get is deemed "self inflicted".
Also in this case, it's a justified use of force when you think it through. The cop disabled the quad in a safe location off the road at low speed, had they fled on it, theres a very high chance that they'd roll it (they are basically death traps), probably killing themselves (no helmet, excessive speed) or injuring others. Credit were it's due, he made the right call.
Nah, pretty standard procedure to stop a bike/quad pursuit.

Its Russia man, idk. What I can see from russian videos they have crosswalks on streets with no speedlimit, or at least nobody seems to have a limit there. People drive nonchalantly with around 55mph and suddenly a crosswalk appears. Dunno about your country, but for me this is not the safest way to let pedestrians cross a road 👀

I've seen a lot more videos on other video sites where it doesn't go so well, like the pedestrian getting hit by one vehicle that doesn't realize it happened and then they get run over by a second vehicle because of ending up on the ground. All the suing for big money Isn't going to make your legs work again, or uncrush your skull and bring you back to life!!! Think back to the children's show Sesame Street and "Look both ways before crossing the street!" I know!! He was clearly not a "zombie" or brainless, but insisted on claiming his rightful space on the crossing. You can argue all day whether that's smart from a survival point of view (I think he estimated the risk correctly), but motorists ignoring basic traffic rules (yield to pedestrians that have a green light on a designated crossing) are not just irresponsible, they're dangerous and a much bigger problem than "zombie" pedestrians.

Same argument from the other side. You see me coming, get out the way. There aren't any traffic lights/crossing lights, wherever that is. So, it's kinda "everybody do whatever." As you can see, there's also people crossing the perpendicular side too and the silver car stops middle of the road. Not sure there would be any "charges" to face in that country.

Every time I watch this kind of videos I pray God that Americans aren't allowed driving in Europe. Then I remember they're Americans, they never travel abroad, and that's a big relief.
