Ashley this is really beautiful! Your parents especially your farther is 100% right to have done something like this to try and protect you and you are blessed to have them. I would like to do maybe not exactly the same thing but definitely apply the same principles with certain rules and guidelines to the same effect of protecting my future children for there future spouse one day too keep them safe spiritually also. I just wish my parents would have done something like this for me and my siblings to protect us from the prince of the power of the air and his world... ''but its all good, I can do this for my future children instead''.
I know you know this but I just wanted to say that you should not be ashamed rather the opposite you are doing the will of God and honouring him greatly for remaining pure your like the top 1% type of woman to God and to man Just for remaining pure both physically and spiritually and striving to towards him, and that's no easy task! we can see your value for sure! I am truly blessed. My mother nor my father were raised in the faith, and had a hard upbringing, but the Lord saved them and He taught them how to be good, loving parents. It must start somewhere. But, how is he supposed to know that you are not engaged to another person? The situation is - he likes you, he wants to contact you, but in the next moment he sees the ring and knows you're married or at least engaged, so he skips etc.
that's very simple. Father God knows and understands everything, He knows the end from the beginning, one of the qualities that makes Him God. It was always His will for this to happen, for her and her parents to make this pledge. I assure you, if Father wants this girl to be married, to have a spouse, nothing in this world or under the world or in the heavens is ever going to stop or prevent that from happening (and if it's true, it would be the same with you). Most relationships start out as friends before anything else anyway, if the person was a friend that genuinely cared about her, she would have plenty of time to discuss or bring up or talk about that ring and what it means, don't you think?
I just found your channel and have binge-watched several videos already. You truly are inspiring. For myself, I was raised in the Church but fell away from it for a while due to a number of reasons. I drank and smoked some things that I shouldn't have and now regret. I'm back to studying the Bible on a regular basis but have the feeling of time wasted. From the sound of your videos, you're doing things the right way. Please keep it up and don't let the world cause you to stray from the path. There's nothing there of any lasting value.
I'm curious what the correllary is for young men? How are we to reinforce chivalry and respect for women and themselves? I guess a watch to watch themselves and watch out for the women around them?
