- Shaji Ul Mulk is a UAE based billionaire who serves as Chairman of Mulk International, a multinational conglomerate with diversified business interests spanning primarily four sectors - Building Materials, Plastics, Healthcare and Cricket Assets. His newest endeavor which just broke ground, the $500 million Zim Cyber City, which has been dubbed "Bringing Dubai to Zim", will be a state-of-the-art mixed-use hi-tech park on the outskirts of Zimbabwe’s capital city Harare. The project commissioned by Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa will offer world class amenities aimed at attracting Westerners including luxurious residences, duty free shopping malls, tax free investments, pre-approved mortgages in USD and the tallest tower in Africa all constructed on 2.5 million square meters of land. Zimbabwe cannot build another Las Vegas in our country. What is this Cyber City? Will it not be a place for rich to spend their money at the expense of developments needed by Zimbabweans? We have needy infrastructural developments which we should concentrate on right now. Our Harare city needs upgrading desperately. Please let us look at what will benefit the majority instead of the rich minority of our land.

most businesses are owned by Zimbabweans here, Banks, some mining, and a lot of the locals business, property developers, engineering companies are being contracted in these projects around the country, locals are into manufacturing exports are increasing, we of course still have a long way to go but we're on the right track, a lot of local farmers producing and exporting. So I think our fundamentals are in place. that shouldn't be much of a problem I would hope.
coz the government is focusing on developing locals to take up these projects and helping fund small business.
