However, the division resulted in a 95% desertion rate. This promise was not kept and plans to send the troops across Europe was discovered by the troops. This resulted in the nearly 100% desertion rate.) I think that the Bosnian Bogomils, like Islam, have their roots in Zealot-Essene insurgent, ascetic Judaism, which disappeared with the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD. The Bogumils saw in Islam a religion similar to their own.
Wrong. It was christian following arianism. Accepted paterans, bogomils, kathars and everyone prosecuted for believes cause it was tolerant and civilised.
Amongs Bosnian heresy there are a lot of hidden stories of monotheism and Islam in Europe before Ottomans to cover like: - Germanic Arians and Julian, Count of Ceuta who joined Umayyad conquest of Hispania - Two Hungarian muslim groupation (western Böszörmény and eastern Khwarezmians) who lived and served during the rule of king Geza II - Croatian Domald Kačić (Snačić) / Domald of Sidraga (1160 - 1243), son of prince Saracen (muslim?) who managed to briefly free Zadar from Venetian rule in 1204, which had previously been destroyed by the Crusaders in 1202. He fell out of favor with Andrija II Arpadović and Pope Honorius III (1221), who took his possessions (parts of Hum, Split, Šibenik and Zadar) and bring them to Grgur and Stjepan Šubić, due to alleged "piracy and heresy".

Ah Bosnia! Everlasting bastion of freedom. Here are few extra facts: - Bosnian bogumils - Bogu mili in translation from bosnian language, essentialy all other south slav languages, means "Those dear to God", they were a part of bosnian church and Bosnians had their own culture. There is a unique culture of burial grounds that you will find only on teritory ruled by this authentic bosnian religion. These toombstones are called "Stećak". If You've seen Dune 1, burial grounds, thats pretty much how it looks like, only even more authentic. - Bosnians spoke their own language and had their own script called bosančica. One of the oldest written document, of all slav people, and when I say all I mean all from Russia to Poland, Belarus to Montenegro, is Povelja Kulina Bana, Charter of Ban Kulin. Rated in one of top 20 oldest documents in slavic history. - Average Bosnian folk were literate, and quite poetic. This is something proven by the scribes written on almost every Stećak. - Rome made 5 atempts of Crusades on Bosnian lands, and it ended by Ban Kulin resigning his Bosnian religion and accepting Pope as his spiritual leader, but in the background, bosnian church continiued to prosper. Additional 3 crusades were made by Hungarians, supported by Pope. - Grudge of Rome against Bosnia was so strong, they deneid to send aid to Bosnian army against Otoman Empire. However, Otoman Empire took 75 Years to take over whole of Bosnian teritory. - Bosnia was one of the richest Kingdoms in Europe, princeses of Bosnia would often mary Germans, Hungarians, Italians, Austrians, Bulgarian Bans and Dukes. - Paralel to prosperity, Ottomans also brought suffering for Bosnian folk, often giving Serbian politicians authorites over Bosnian Lands, wich led to many uprisings. - Bosnian people helped a lot of Jewish families that were prosicuted from Europe, century after century. One of the oldes Hagada is still in Sarajevo and you can visit it in the states museum. - Rebelius nature of Bosnian folk gave us the start of first world war, when Gavrilo Princip shot dead Arch duke Franz Ferdinand. uh, can you put a thousand year old history in few sentances? I gues a documentary sieries would not be enough. You've done a fair job I have to say, thank you for making this video. There is a huge debat based mostly in nationalism about who was bosnian patarens. They were not actualy main stream christians. They were influenced by gnosticism in contact with the franch catars and manikeism. They didn’t believe in trinity or God-Jesus, that’s why Islam entered Bosnia much easier than the lands around.
Because today's ISLAM was originally a Non Trinitarian Eastern Christianity that was practiced outside the territory of the Roman empire. The fact that the the Patriarch of Jerusalem knew the time of pray for 'muslims' in 630s AD when the Arab conquered Jerusalem the first time, indicates that there was connection between the Eastern Christianity and the belief system of the Arab conquerors. The premise of the existence of the religion of Islam is based on the narrative that says 'the prophet who lived in the 7th century started and spread the religion of Islam.' However, the problem is that there was no such concept as the religion of Islam in the 7th century. Religion was practiced but not conceptualized. Religion is a modern concept. The word "religion" was introduced into the English language around 1200 AD. Initially, it referred to various ways of worship among Christian denominations. The meaning of the word has evolved over time. Religion is a modern concept. No ancient language had a term or word that corresponded to the meaning of what modern people call 'religion.' Religion is a modern concept. Neither Abraham, Moses, nor Jesus talked about religion. None of them started their own religions because the concept of religion didn't exist. Religion is a modern concept. According to the Encyclopedia of the Qur'an, the Arabic word "din" (دين) was never translated into English as 'religion' before the 20th century. Religion is a modern concept. The original meaning of the Arabic "din" is law, judgment, or way of life, similar to how the Hebrew "din" means law or judgment. Religion is a modern concept. The original meaning of the word "Islam" is submission. In the 7th century, "Islam" simply meant submission, not the name or the brand of a religion, a modern concept. Religion is a modern concept. The original meaning of the phrase "DIN (AL-)ISLAM” is not the religion of Islam but rather ‘submission as a way of life’. This is evident from the fact that the Arabic "din" was never translated into English as religion before the 20th century. Thus, the famous Qur'anic phrase (3:19) "the religion (din) in the sight of Allah is Islam" is a modern interpretation and can be rephrased as "the way of life (din) that is acceptable to or that is from Allah is submission (Islam)." Hence, The Qur'an doesn't talk about the religion of Islam. This means the prophet who lived in the 7th century didn't know anything about the religion of Islam because the concept of religion didn't exist. It means that what scholars have been saying for decades-that the Qur'an is a Christian text-is true because there was no concept of religion in the 7th century. What was "din" before it became a religion? What was Islam before it became the name or the brand of a religion? When did Islam (meaning submission) become the name of a religion, a modern concept? If the religion of Islam didn't exist in the 7th century, who were the people called 'Muslims' in the Qur'an? "Muslims" simply means submitters (those who submit to God). The word 'Muslims' in the Qur'an has nothing to do with the religion of Islam. If the religion of Islam didn't exist in the 7th century, who was the prophet who lived in the 7th century? The fact that the Qur'an confirms that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah suggests that the prophet must have been a non-Trinitarian Christian, and the author of the Qur'an must have been non-Trinitarian Christians (as proposed by scholars like Angelika Neuwirth in "The Qur'an as a Late Antique Text" or Christoph Luxenberg in "The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the Koran"). Muslims do not understand what the Qur'an is trying to say because they have been separated from the sources (the Bible and the theological disputes in the Early Church) that many verses of the Qur'an refer to, such as the nature of Christ, the Theotokos, the Nicene Creed, etc. For those who think that the Qur'an has nothing to do with the Bible and the theological disputes in the Early Church, such as the majority of Christians and modern Muslims, many esoteric verses in the Qur'an are misunderstood because they cannot grasp that these verses are actually discussing the theological disputes among Christians in the early Church. Is Jesus divine in the Quran? And who or what is MHMD in the Quran? #### Case 1 The Qur'an confirms that Jesus is divine (Jesus had two natures, human and divine) because it confirms the virgin birth of Jesus, a divine birth. The Qur'an renders the name of Jesus as "Isa," the Redeemer, a title used by Christians in Jordan before Islam as a divine title for Jesus. The Qur'an confirms that Jesus is the "Rasulullah" (Messenger of God). The concept of "rasul" (messenger) in the Qur'an is similar to the concept of the messenger in the Old Testament. There are two types of messengers in the Old Testament: human messengers (prophets) and divine messengers (Malak Elohim, the Angel of the LORD, malakh = messenger = angel). In the Qur'an, the human messenger is called "rasul" (rasul = messenger = malakh). And what is the Quranic rasulullah? The problem is that Muslims do not understand the difference between "rasul" and "Rasulullah." The only possible answer is that "Rasulullah" = the Malak Elohim = the Angel of the LORD. Thus, the Qur'an confirms that Jesus was the Angel of the LORD who appeared several times in the Old Testament (some Chrisitans also believed that Jesus was the Angel of the Lord). How about the MHMD? Therefore, the Qur'an and the hadith are not talking about the same "Muhammad." The Qur'an is talking about a divine "Muhammad" (MHMD = the Praised One), not the person of Muhammad proposed in the hadith (the word "Muhammad" is mentioned only four times in the Qur'an, and one of those mentions, QS 33:40, rejects the Muhammad of the hadith). The two-nature of Jesus in the Quran? Did the author of the Quran believe that Jesus was fully human? #### Case 2 Muslims don't understand what the Qur'an is trying to say in some of its verses because they are esoteric. For example, the crucifixion verses (QS 4:157-158): There are two Jesuses in these verses. The first Jesus was on the cross, while the second one was raised by Allah unto Himself. Muslims misunderstand these verses, and some say that Allah replaced Jesus with someone else, which is incorrect according to the Qur'an. In these verses, the author of the Qur'an was trying to say that: - The DIVINE Jesus was raised by Allah unto Himself. If Jesus were not divine, how could He live for more than 2,000 years with Allah? Does Jesus eat with Allah? - While the divine Jesus was raised by Allah, the HUMAN Jesus was still on the cross. The difference between mainstream Christians, who believe that Jesus is fully human and fully divine, and the author of the Qur'an is that: the author of the Quran believed that the HUMAN Jesus was only an ILLUSION or APPARITION of His divine nature. Thus, according to the author of the Qur'an, Jesus didn't actually suffer on the cross because the one on the cross was just an illusion or apparition of His divine nature (Docetism). These verses were intended to be recited to the Jewish audience of the Qur'an because some Jews couldn't accept Jesus as their Messiah, since the Old Testament says that a person hanging on a tree is cursed by God. Thus, this verse solved that problem.

2:00 Orthodox Christians prostrate in a prayer Metania thats why there are no pews in Orthodox Churches and you can pray more than 5 times. You picked all this up from Orthodoxy as you came 650 years later! Bogumils believed in many pagan things not just that. Gods Word became flesh so Jesus is God in flesh as Gods word is God
The actual reason: Bosnia (similarly to Albania) was split between 3 religions during the late middle ages (Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Bogomilism), so the religious identity wasn´t nearly as strong as in Greece or in Serbia. As a non-muslim you had several disadvantages in the Ottoman Empire like: - Paying the Jizya tax - Your sons could be taken by the Turks to become Jannisary soldiers - Ottoman local rulers had the right to spend the first night with any newly wed non-muslim woman By converting to Islam you could be freed from this persecution

BOSNIA and BOSNIAK people...was the first country in the world, between East and West Roman empire because they never accepted christianity..they only accepted Islam
Hmmm. The dividing line between Catholic and Orthodox Europe was the Drina River; the old symbols of Bosnia were Catholic, the Kings and Queens were almost all Catholic, roughly 67% or 2/3’s of Bosnia was surrounded by Catholics (Croatia), yet somehow the majority of the common people were not Catholic.. You also failed to mention that under the Ottomans the Catholic population in Bosnia & Hercegovina was viewed as the biggest threat to its control because Catholic Europe was the main enemy, while the Orthodox population was viewed relatively favourably. As a result, the Catholic population was forced indirectly to decline, while the other two present day religions grew exponentially. Further, one has to wonder, if there were so many Bogumils, how come there are none today.. Need I say more?.. 😊 Regardless, sending my love and peace to beautiful Bosnia & Hercegovina. ❤️🙏 May the many wonderful people there find a sustainable co-existence going forward. ☪️✝️
A nice pseudo-historical story that doesn't have many points of contact with the facts. Most Muslims in the Balkans converted to Islam as a way to avoid the taxes imposed on non-Muslims by the Ottoman Empire, confiscation of land, and the kidnapping of children for the Yeniçeri (یڭیچری). It was similar, for example, in Egypt. Muslims today love to hear stories about the "sweetness" of Islam. The truth, however, is quite different and very brutal...

Only Bosnia and Albania are still havent been decolonized in Europe from alien muslim invaders

The Bogumils used the book of James the brother of Jesus and the founder of the first church of Jerusalem. The Cathars were also prosecuted in the Southern France. Bosnia for ever.
I see alot of muslims making same mistake. When they use crescent moon and a star to portray Islam. The symbol has nothing to do with Islam. It was a symbol used by Ottoman empire and developped by Byzantium 300 years B.C. As Ottomans wanted to restore Roman Empire under Islamic rule.
I have to say impressive video recap on how majority of Bosnian people embraced Islam and what was the cause for that to happen. Well done Omar, bosanski pozdrav iz Grčke!!
Very untruthful and baseless interpretation, Bogumili was common term for all Christians across Balkans, from todays Slovenia all the way to Black Sea, it wasn’t just in Bosnia, so story how Bogumili specifically took Islam is made up nonesense. Islam was taken by all Christians who were under ottoman occupation, simple reason was less taxation and more rights. So this video is very untruthful.

General Serbian point of view: Modern Bosnian Muslims are Islamized Slavic Christians of Serbian origin*. There were several types if Islamization: By force, where you either become a Muslim, or you can get starved or get killed. By interest, in order to keep the land you had and pay lower taxes. Used by nobles mostly. By belief, where you truly believed in Islam. There were many *Muslim families which still celebrated Christmas, Slava and Đurđevdan, but these traditions have Slavic paganism routes. I wrote *Serbian as general term for central south Slavs (there is no general term), which to this day share the similar tradition, culture and language, which is very similar/same to Croatian and Montenegrin, but different from Slovenian or Bulgarian. There are Bulgarian Muslims which have nothing in common with Bosnian Muslims, and no Slovenian Muslims.

The Creator is God, and that is the message of prophet Mohammed and all his fellow prophets that preceded him.
If you have suffered injuries ˹at Uḥud˺, they suffered similarly ˹at Badr˺. We alternate these days ˹of victory and defeat˺ among people so that Allah may reveal the ˹true˺ believers, choose martyrs from among you-and Allah does not like the wrongdoers-Al Imraan 140.

@@vegetaftw1Yes, this is accurate.
I have two Bosniak predecessors in my family that served in the first multi ethnic Nazi SS division (13th Waffen Mountain Nazi SS division) during World War 2. However, the division resulted in a 95% desertion rate.
(Poor villagers were conscripted, looking for financial incentives during the war, being promised that the division would be stationed in Bosnia. This promise was not kept and plans to send the troops across Europe was discovered by the troops. This resulted in the nearly 100% desertion rate.)
However, it is likely that the majority of Muslims of Bosnia in World War 2 joined with the Yugoslav Partisans (Communist faction) led by Josip Broz "Tito."
The Yugoslav Partisans are known to have been the strongest resistance against the Nazi's during World War Two.

Amongs Bosnian heresy there are a lot of hidden stories of monotheism and Islam in Europe before Ottomans to cover like:
- Germanic Arians and Julian, Count of Ceuta who joined Umayyad conquest of Hispania
- Two Hungarian muslim groupation (western Böszörmény and eastern Khwarezmians) who lived and served during the rule of king Geza II
- Croatian Domald Kačić (Snačić) / Domald of Sidraga (1160 - 1243), son of prince Saracen (muslim?) who managed to briefly free Zadar from Venetian rule in 1204, which had previously been destroyed by the Crusaders in 1202. He fell out of favor with Andrija II Arpadović and Pope Honorius III (1221), who took his possessions (parts of Hum, Split, Šibenik and Zadar) and bring them to Grgur and Stjepan Šubić, due to alleged "piracy and heresy".
Another propaganda video for showing how nice Islam was! How about the blood tax , when they took by force Christian boys from their family’s and make them Islamic soldiers? Who went to fight against their Christian brothers and sisters, how about the slave market who was full with white slave women from the Balkans , tooked by force from their burned villages, or the harems full of kidnapped European women, how about the forcing converting to people in different regions of the Balkans to Islam by force , I will give you example the Rodope mountain in Bulgaria- almost 90% of all the population forced to covert to Islam , and the massacre were unnumbered in all Balkan nations , before the falling under Ottoman rule Balkan countries had population near 2 million each, after freeing their self from the Ottoman after 500 years the population is still 2 million , this only speak of the bad conditions of the Christian’s under ottomans
Ah Bosnia! Everlasting bastion of freedom. Here are few extra facts:
- Bosnian bogumils - Bogu mili in translation from bosnian language, essentialy all other south slav languages, means "Those dear to God", they were a part of bosnian church and Bosnians had their own culture.
Bosnians hold dear many traditions, we are proud people, stuborn, not that easily offended and always give our best to stand for the truth. War in 1990s was epiphony of opression against our land, our fathers barehandedly fought against fourth largest army in the world and won our freedom. Brothers in arms were all religions, some of the best generals were not even muslim, they were orthodox and catholics. Sadest part is that this war brought upon us ethnic cleansing, but we will presevier.

No ancient language had a term or word that corresponded to the meaning of what modern people call 'religion.'
Religion is a modern concept.
#### Case 1
The Qur'an confirms that Jesus is divine (Jesus had two natures, human and divine) because it confirms the virgin birth of Jesus, a divine birth.
#### Case 2
Muslims don't understand what the Qur'an is trying to say in some of its verses because they are esoteric. For example, the crucifixion verses (QS 4:157-158):
There are two Jesuses in these verses. The first Jesus was on the cross, while the second one was raised by Allah unto Himself. Muslims misunderstand these verses, and some say that Allah replaced Jesus with someone else, which is incorrect according to the Qur'an.
In these verses, the author of the Qur'an was trying to say that:
- The DIVINE Jesus was raised by Allah unto Himself.
Bosnia stands strongly with Palestine!!!
Thank you so so much for doing this indormative video but I think you over praised ottomans. How was the janisaries created if not by converting the non muslim children and conditioning them?
It was the Bosnian Church, which didnt have Bogomil teachings but Bogomils were one of the "christian sects" that connected with the Bosnian church
The Bogomils were a Christian sect that started in Bulgaria before spreading around the Balkans.

The actual reason:
Bosnia (similarly to Albania) was split between 3 religions during the late middle ages (Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Bogomilism), so the religious identity wasn´t nearly as strong as in Greece or in Serbia.
As a non-muslim you had several disadvantages in the Ottoman Empire like:
- Paying the Jizya tax
- Your sons could be taken by the Turks to become Jannisary soldiers

Regardless, sending my love and peace to beautiful Bosnia & Hercegovina. ❤️🙏

False map of the Balkans Christians and false teaching of Bogumills, they were jus a small sect, minor group with nothing in common to Bosnian moslems today. .

Bosnia emerged after occupation parts of Serbia and Croatia, although before Great schism 1054., both were in East Roman empire, we would call today - Ortodoxy. But muslims are invaders in Bosnia, most of them arrived to us after left Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro when muslim state collapsed there. Only Bosnia and Albania are still havent been decolonized in Europe from alien muslim invaders
Ironically, the two muslim balkan states were the last to fall to the Ottomans because they fought the hardest - while Serbia was kebab's #1 friend -winning them wars from the clutch of defeat - helping the Ottomans conquer 🇧🇦 and 🇦🇱 .

Al si se ti nalupao gluposti u ovom videu
Some say that Islam reached Bosnia even before the Ottomans came. They say there was a traveller from Bosnia who was in Saudi Arabia in the early Kalifats. Perhaps this is the reason why Bogumili prayed 5 times a day and why their belief in Allah and Isa a.s. was different from those who've only heard from churches. This story is not verifyable as far as i know but it wouldn't surprise me if smth similar to this was true.
It's entirely possible.
I heard that there was also a masjid built in Bosnia by Syrian travelers who used it for prayer on their trade travels, before the Ottoman empire, and some people accepted Islam from them
There is no such information that Bosnians prayed 5 times a day. I dont know where he got it.
@@kulrul9180 from Bible of course jesus prayed three times and sometimes in the night two more prayers or even more he did this by putting his forehead on the ground as muslim do and as early Christians did.
Oh please, stop these lies.
General Serbian point of view:
Modern Bosnian Muslims are Islamized Slavic Christians of Serbian origin*.
There were several types if Islamization:
By force, where you either become a Muslim, or you can get starved or get killed.
Yes, but listen to this. We like it, we accept it. We accept both Islam and Rakija and kolo. But we are Bosnians, with Orthodox, Catholic and Muslim faith. But for some reason, other people don't accept that.

This is the greatest evidence that the great Bosnian people were of a sound and unchanged nature. They were previously Muslims according to the law of the Prophet Jesus, and they became Muslims according to the law of the Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, a people worthy of respect.
😂😂😂 stop yapping your a yapper and a dumbbell
What a nonsense. They were Christians and big population still is

Thanks brother :)
This is just a story full of lies . Please don't believe this bullshit . We have a document called "Povelja Kulina Bana" from 10th Century ( Kulin is name and Ban is Croatian version for King ) and it starts with Holly Trinity "In the Name of Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit I Kulin Ban etc. We have two copies of this document and it is located in St. Petersburg and other in Dubrovnik. Look up on the Internet and you will find it so everything is trasparent . All people of Bosnia know this and they know history . So please don't spread lies about my Country .
Please make one on Albania aswell ❤️🇦🇱 Salam
