I agree, so exciting! There is a good analysis of the weather forecast and the routing options for places 4 to 10 by Will Harris in this video (Team Malizia channel): ua-cam.com/video/qMXIN7u-7Cw/v-deo.htmlsi=J5kTT68_YJK-Mrsk
Overall the level of rhe fleet is incredible. Goodchild and Mettraux are mixing it with youbger boats but the three behind justine are also doing great. Jean le Cam shows his new boat is competitive and he knows how to exploit it. Mixing it with one to two generations old foilers. The group of 9 boats two to rhree generation old around cape horn has been doing great too. Excellent stuff with races within the races.
... worked as a mold maker for Paul Lindenberg, we helped FIT with their flying hulls. That was 35 years ago. Never thought boats would fly around the world!

@ It looks like Dalin is going for the Inside track of the Azores Islands while all the other guys are struggling up the coast of Brazil, posting media shots of the sailing trip! So it will be between Dalin and Richomme and then Simon. It is amazing how uncompetitive this race has been, with only three contenders and the backmarkers making do and essentially just cruising.
Im loving the race between 4th and 10th. 🎉 very entertaining ❤

Lots of twists, turns and plots. Even when danger lurks, the ocean offers respite - burds, whales, calm seas.
Holy Moly❤
Do we think Ruyant still has boat issues from his incident the other day? He seems to have slowed down a lot. Is that because he hasn't got a J2?
Yes, I think so. The J2 is a key sail, and that knockdown when the sail was destroyed will be a hindrance.
@@Sail-World Thanks. I only sail dinghies so this ocean yacht stuff is new to me. I find these videos really helpful

Ein Kutter muss plötzlich auftauchen . . . . 😉
Die Gorch Fock? Alternativ wäre noch das Geschwader von Graf Spee in der Nähe....

So sad
Why is it that all boats are not using starlink? Maybe next year...

Davies…pronounced Davis in english.
Bit of both... I've been trying to say it 'Davis', but like Dalin, I occasionally slip to 'Darlin'. Trying to get better!
Sam Goodchild is 2500 Nm behind! The leading pack, the three leaders will be home by Monday
@@cliveengel5744 Charlie Dalin and Yoann Richomme will most likely finish on Tuesday
