I can recognize BOBBY's laugh some meters far ❤

Some music instructor said that Bobby didn’t sing in falsetto, that it was a pure tenor to counter tenor voice

Glen was so cute in this video! For all his amazing talent, a dancer he is not. This clip of his cutting loose with his dance steps makes me think of the wise advice "dance as if no one is looking." I'll cherish this video for that rarely seen side of Glen that we're allowed to glimpse here. About that outfit! I remember those days. They seemed so hip at the time. Looking backwards in time, we can probably all agree that some trends were better than others. But Glen's such a living doll, I can overlook this costume. Besides, it's not like he got to make the decisions of how he gets to present himself to his public, especially at this period of his career. There are always puppet masters who dictate such things.

Glen used to work with the RBs on Shindig (but not Jimmy). Glen's a little squirrelly here - most unusual when with his guests. And what's that space suit he's wearing.

It’s pretty bizarre. Two men in suits and the space-suit, crazy dancing guy in the middle.

Cute, Bobby and Jimmy. I have to admit I miss Bill’s throatiness. Bobby is still cute and healthy looking. Hot!

They just didn't have the charisma that Bill and Bobby had. He's No Bill Melody sorry. They're ok but not magic together.

Who the heck is that singing with Bobby Hatfield???!!!!! It ain't Bill Medley, that's for sure. Jimmy somebody. But Jimmy who? Was Bill Medley out sick? I've never heard of him leaving the group and then rejoining it later.

It's the late Jimmy Walker formerly of the Knickerbockers ("Lies"). He replaced Bill Medley who went solo in 1968 and cut "Brown Eyed Woman". Jimmy and Bobby cut one album in 1969 as the Righteous Brothers.

@@kevingoins9858 - Since posting my comment about a year ago, I since learned that Jimmy Walker (former of the Knickerbockers) had, as you said, taken Bill Medley's place in the Righteous Brothers. I knew Bill had gone solo and recorded "Brown Eyed Woman." But I just thought he did that on his own. Didn't know the Righteous Brothers had effectively broken up for a few years and that Bobby Hatfield had continued the group with a new partner. Jimmy was a credible singer. But he was no Bill Medley. And he didn't have the chemistry or the vocal blend with Bobby that Bill had. But hey, life goes on and people don't put their lives (and careers) on hold while others go their separate ways. Glad Bill and Bob ended up back together again. Too bad Bobby lost his falsetto, and ultimately, his life. I feel about this pairing about like I do toward Bill and Bucky Heard, Bill's current partner in the latest incarnation of the Righteous Brothers. I guess it's better than the music dying, but somehow I don't think the Righteous Brothers' music is going to die anytime soon.

@@ProdigyBowlersTour Just because a guy sings high that doesn't automatically make it falsetto. Falsetto means false voice. Bobby was a true countertenor...the rarest of male voices. Age can diminish range (genetics). Guess he more or less aged to normal tenor. Since he was an incredible vocalist, he could still perform brilliantly. As far as Jimmy Walker goes, he was probably a better singer than Bill, but obviously not a bass-baritone. That bass-baritone range and grit that Bill had is what people appreciate.

Who is that other guy? True, not Bill Medley! Weird. Still a great song.

Jimmy Walker (once a member of the Knickerbockers). He and Bobby took the Righteous Brothers name for a year or two after Bill and Bobby split up. They put out one album - Re-Birth.

Thanks, that's something I should have known. I even had the Rebirth album at one point, and there were some good tunes on it. I didn't know it was during that time frame, I guess. I thought it was later. Thanks for the reply! :-)

I kind of like the fact they picked someone whose voice worked while not sounding exactly like Bill Medley. That said, I miss the contrast between Bill and Bobby's voices. Jimmy Walker has a good voice, just not a very distinctive one.

Right you are, this is Jimmy's Nephew who lived in the next town over Dumont, but our block (Larch Ave) did dead end on to Knickerbocker Rd, where I was told the band's name came from because the Charles brothers lived along it. :)
