I would have given extra credit to any student that noticed the word museum is misspelled more than once.
This is schoolwork but I don’t think he knows I have arachnophobia
Who would watch these for fun?
Who are you, so wise in the ways of science?
me: watches this because of school
UA-cam: *Yeetus cleetus your recommended is now deletus*
If I see this spider I will pass away
2:47 "The more we looked at it, the more we realized that the details were wrong"
why science isn't linear they observe it like forever and go back and forth between observing and asking questions like a pinball machine
Out of all the animals they can talk about. It had to be a spider.
Okay I get that we're all here because of schoolwork but this is actually really interesting stuff!
Dislike the teacher if you must, but this video was interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing this with us!
read this before i watched thanks for getting me a little excited about school (: it makes homework a breeze
just finished watching it and yeah I agree it was actuallyyy interesting
Would sequencing it's Genome make identification easier?
This video offers a clear and didactic explanation of the scientific method, using the discovery of a new spider species as an example. However, I missed a historical context, as it did not mention important figures like Francis Bacon and Karl Popper. There is also a limited discussion on scientific challenges and little emphasis on the interdisciplinarity of science. Despite this, the video is an excellent educational resource for various contexts, from elementary education to the general public, providing an accessible view of how science works. It can serve as a starting point for deeper discussions about scientific methodology, its challenges, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Teacher made me watch this
Great video, but please fix the misspelling of museum!
it’s a very interesting video
Who else is watching this because they have a deep and profound love for spiders...yeah me neither I'm here for student debt.
SFX were a bit jarring but other than that this was a fun and somewhat fascinating video
Is there any way to get a printout or a poster to show this version of the scientific method! I would love to post this in my classroom for students to reference and emphasize the versatility of the scientific method.
Did you succeed?
this is my classwork i clicked the link thinking the video was about spiderman haha
Everything I was thought thrown at my face
4:15 bro clean ur lens
Should've caught a variety of likely food species and observed the kill tactics, speed of feeding and how much leftovers are discarded...
Looks like a Brown Recluse but does it use the same tactics?
80%- Just for schoolwork and not really interested
19.9%-arachnophobia
Meanwhile me who was trying to imagine the spider's power on killing us after 9 years- 😁...... O_o
yea me to
what about the scientific method isnt it more lineair that this..
rave1704 In a best case scenario it is. More often than not it's a bit messy.
You've missed the point somewhat.
Did anyone else notice the spot on the camera? Who didn't wipe off the camera after eating?!
yo any1 gotta do some work on this
Pinball machine noise make me angre make me go monke mode ):
So this spider was killed?
Nope they put it back together after dissecting it to study its claws and respiratory system and studying its genome, and it now has a cushy 9-5 job pushing papers in the office bureaucracy of a web spinning/distribution company.
UA-cam Seems Cool lol
@rave1704 wow that comment is seven years old this video is old WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TEACHERS

I'm here because of schoolwork, and did anyone else come here from ford middle school?
Holy shit! Even people who are supposed to be the experts in science no longer know what in the hell it is. We’re doomed .
"No longer"? It's always been the case.
The key component of science is realizing how little you know and developing structures from which to better observe what you do know
UA-cam Seems Cool there’s no epistemological wizardry required. That’s what people were engaged in before science. Science is ultimately empiricism rooted in the experimental verification of the scientific method. It turns out that it’s the one epistemic model that consistently reveals clear and distinct knowledge about our universe.

its 5 minutes, you can turn it to 1.75x speed making it shorter instead of watching a 40 min documentary and you can open YT transcript and Ctrl* F search keywords so I liked it
Wood louse variant. Duh.
And, no, not everyone can “do” science.
Stand up right, or get lost.
