I will explain two different methods and help you decide which will work best for you. For the second method, I will show you how you can create a hyperlinked PDF and use google drive to store your files and give access to your customer.

In the midst, I wanted to check out your website as well (beautiful btw!) I noticed that you are selling physical options for your planners-Mind me asking who you source your planners through? Are you doing this via POD like a Printify option or other?

This video was good, but a step by on how to now get the links into ETSY would have helped. Super new to selling digital products.
Hi there 👋. By links do you mean the Google drive links? If so, those would be added to the pdf that you create. Then you attach the pdf to the Etsy listing. You cannot add links as your product in Etsy. Just make sure you are saving your pdf as an interactive pdf so that the links will work. I hope that helps. 😁

Hi Kim. I am so glad it helped you. To zip a folder on a PC, you can just right click on the folder, click "send to" and then click "Compressed (zipped) folder". That will give you a zipped copy of the folder. To zip it on a Mac, Control-click it or tap it using two fingers, then choose Compress from the shortcut menu. The customer should automatically have the option to unzip the folder when they bring it up on a computer or ipad.

I have always used pdf. I have never used, or thought to use jpeg. I suppose as long as you can add hyperlinks to it then it could work.

Hello, I am going to be selling a digital download planner but have 4 different color options. Do I have to make 1 listing for each color?

Hey there. You can do whatever you think would work best for your particular business. You can make it one listing and then they have the option to choose which color they want to download by including the different links to each. But, you can also make them 4 seperate listings so that if they want more than one color option, they would have to order each different color that they want. For this, you would just have a different pdf download with a different link to the color. The choice is totally up to you. It is your business. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do, even Etsy 😉 Sometimes I think Etsy forgets that we are running our own businesses and are not working for them.

Absolutely! I do not see any reason it would not. Sometimes it is the only option depending on the size and format of the products you are selling. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching
Hi, do you think the PDF method would work with digital prints? I'm an artist, and I want to offer the files for printing the digital version of my handprinted art, but I struggle with the size of the file to upload to Etsy, even after zipping in, is still more that 20 mb. You think the would the links to files on a pdf would be a good idea?
Yes, absolutely. I think that could be a great way. Especially if you want to offer different sizes. Just make sure you explain how the download will work in the description.

Hi there. Etsy downloads for listing items are max 20MB per file, and max 5 files. For custom made-to-order it is much larger at 80MB per file and max 5 files.

Hey there. Would you be referring to Etsy? If so, you can ask people to sign up according to Etsy’s seller handbook. What you cannot do is add people’s emails from Etsy to your list yourself. You absolutely must ask for permission to sign up and allow them to enter their email themselves. That is actually not just an Etsy policy but a law.

Not a silly question. Yes, if that’s the way you want to sell them. You may want to sell everything individually and then you would have a different pdf with a unique link for each product. If you want to offer multiple variations as part of one product listing, then you can have all of those files linked on the same pdf. It is all about your preference.
@@HeatherMichelleCo ok thank you! & one more question! I followed the directions of adding the links to the pdf but when I download the pdf it won’t let me click the links. Am I missing something?
I apologize for the delayed response. Hopefully you figured this out already. If you are opening the document in Acrobat, you should be a able to click any working links. What are you opening it up in?

I just wanted ask a about the gmail account that you said don’t use your personal gmail account for sharing the links to files, do you mean to create another gmail account for your biz or do you mean to get a (paid) business gmail account? I’m getting a bit confused with all the google products lol. Thanks so much 😊
@krism7163 Hey! I am glad you enjoyed the video. My suggestion is that you create a google email that is specifically for your business to use for your google drive. For these purposes it does not have to be a paid gmail necessarily. It is just to keep anything personal separate from your business. You may need to pay a small amount per month for extra storage depending on how much you are storing, but you would need that either way.
Aren’t digital products against the Etsy terms of use? They suspend accounts around this point!!
Hi there. Maybe someone might get suspended for the type of download they are selling but digital downloads are absolutely allowed on Etsy. Or maybe I am misunderstanding your question. I’m sorry if I am.

@@auberge7 Did Etsy give a reason why it was a problem. Was it a copyright issue perhaps? Copyrights and trademarks can be tricky if it was anything related to a movie, tv show or brand.
@@HeatherMichelleCo no clear reason was given and the items was not copyrighted or trademarked. A creative fabrica full POD license. The suspend was just after the first sale.😒
@@auberge7 I am so sorry that happened. I have heard of this happening to all types of Etsy shops, especially at the beginning. My channel is still brand new so I do not have a video about this topic yet, but I will definitely do some more research on the topic and see if I can come out with something soon.
