I did not know about this speech from 2013 before today, I just know that my opinion of her is that she has been a great Governor! Actually, frankly, I am grateful for all 3 of the wonderful women that we have leading the state of Michigan. Attorney General Dana Nessel, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer have all done incredible jobs, and I am so proud of them for all the hardship they have faced gracefully during these difficult last few years. They are amazing!

As a victim of child rape, I stand with Gov Whitmer. I'm not an American but I am a woman & until one experiences the horrors of rape either as a child, woman, boy or man, one can not truly understand the trauma a victim contends with. What is disturbing is when women turn on each other just to impress men. Dixon has obviously never been raped. She would not of sunk lower into the gutter than she already is, if she had been sexually assaulted. Shame on her & every other woman that mocks another female that experiences the terror that is rape.
People like Tudor are a huge reason why SA survivors don't come forward because they face so much unfair stigma, blame, and shame. That's why I could never share such a story if I had gone through that because there's so many misogynistic victim blamers out there who would just shame and blame no matter what. This kind of behavior is toxic and can lead rape victims to suicide. I've heard of several cases of young teenage girls taking their own lives because of this disgusting behavior. One was even forced to hold up her panties in the court room to "prove" she was asking for it and she ended up committing suicide soon after that. This society is so reprehensibly toxic when it comes sexual assault victims and justice.

I worked for Gretchen's step- father Don Reisig for 16 years at legal Aid of South Central Michigan, Gretchen was a unpaid volunteer law student during the summers. Her dedication was beyond par, I knew she was going places. Not knowing her full story until now, it makes souch sense why she treated each domestic violence survivor with such incredible kindness and compassion. Explains so much. She has such a genuine heart and soul. ❤
