The Curry 2's is my favorite in Steph's signature line, I have the Iron Sharpens Iron Retro colorway now, and I must have this iconic retro Bang ! Bang ! or MVP
A few things to note on the changes: 1. The speedform logo is removed because the fit of the shoe has been modified. It doesn't have the 1-to-1 fit of the original. Instead of the seamless speedform embedded insole and heel, they switched to a traditional ortholite insole + extra padding in the heel (hence why the heel shape is also a bit curved) 2. The retro sizing is built on a new last which appears to be extra long (hence would recommend going down half a size), very roomy toebox 3. The materials while similar are of a cheaper quality, the synthetic leather is way easier to crease on the retros and has less structure (more comfortable but slightly less supportive) 4. Cushioning is softer on the retro (you can tell just by squeezing the charged midsole) 5. Some colourways still have the 'I Can Do All Things' but it is unclear if its certain manufactured pairs or certain colourways Sources: UA-cam reviews, Bilibili reviews from China, Trying in-store at Under Armour China
This explains so much. I thought the cushion felt softer but wasn't sure if it was just cause how old my original pair was lol. Thanks for the insight!!
I've got one pair that was made in Indonesia, and another difference that I noticed was on the laces wherein all four aglets have written the same "way up" unlike your pair that was made in China. I also agree that your pair is slight brighter than mine made in Indonesia which I think is cooler, but still I've cop this amazing pair that I've dreamt for 7 years 🔥
Yeah the differences are slight, not sure why they decided to produce them differently. Yessir I’m right there with yah!! So happy they finally released this colorway
I have to say at 4:15 that was done strategically not budget friendly. in the old curry 2 that spot where the inlay of the SC sits ripped along that bottom exposing the inner of the foam on the pull tab. As when you pulled up on it if it had slid down, it would be too thin in the pressed inlayed section to hold. This way it wont do that, worst case the SC comes off, but your shoe isn't ripping.
Ahh good to know! Thought they just wanted to save money because I’ve never had any issues with that and I’ve been playing in mine for years. Also it feels and looks so much better on the OGs lol
I think all brands that bring out retro shoes cut cost and details to the original releases. Ive seen it with Nike, Adidas and Reebok. So I'm not really surprised. As for this shoe, it really does look clean on foot. Definitely will break out my pair soon 👌🏽
Not at the moment, the latest announcement from Under Armour was the "Splash Party" colorway. I'm hoping they bring back the "Haight Street" those are goated
Gotta be the retro Curry 2 for performance. Better traction and lighter weight then the retro 1. About the same in terms of comfort with maybe a slight edge leaning towards the retro 1 (the updated insole in the retro 2s is nice). Looks is up to you, I have more nostalgia for the Curry 2 since it was my first "real" hoop shoe so I'm biased lol
@@TwiceFried haha same but i dont really dig the yellow colourway and thats the only one available in stores in canada rn so im waiting to see if more colourways come out

We have our own view and opinions to some things like this. But curry 2's are the best shoe in the curry line series.
No the 4s
And 7 9

@Twice Fried yeah its a downside the look and feel, but the performance will be better with it less likely to rip.

The orginal curry 2 giraffe pe didn’t have the “can do all things” on the side
Good catch! Still wish they kept it around on the other retros though lol
@@TwiceFried I have the curry 2 retro northern lights and it does have the i can do all things on it
Holy smokes these are HAWT… also I bet your really good at Apex Legends
Love your content man.
🤗
Does the traction squeak on these joints?
where did u bought the fluffy hat
From the KITH shop in Paris. They also have a selection online
I wanna cop a pair but never had any Curry’s so do they fit like Nikes? I’m a size 9 in most Nikes/Jordan’s
Yeah these run true to size, but it’s a snug one to one fit. If your a wide footer or like a little room in the toe box I’d go half a size up.
Lol where’d you get that Kopiko brudda?! Did you like it?😄
local Asain market lol, yeah they are so good!!! 10/10
Do you have any infos about another Curry 2 that about to rereleased? :))

@@TwiceFried do you know any source that i can follow on Instagram, that have the potential to know earliest about another Curry 2 rerelease?

I really want to brudda, but UA-cam is not very chill when it comes to that sort of content :/ I still have some ideas I'll test out in the future lol
