0:57 onward is so good. It's like I'm standing still and the universe is just kind of moving around me. Like I'm not trying to write some cheesy poem to describe something. The melody and riff just have that feeling
I have asking Alexandria's More Et Dabo on my left forearm. No matter what explanation I give people look at me funny. I either translate the Latin or tell them it's after a song lol @@Nick-gv9un

That intro could be ripped straight from id or Common Man's and I'm glad there are a few songs if not most with that kind of little flare added into it. It may not be entire songs filled with it, but it's enough for me to say that this is some great Veil of Maya material.
erich casey don’t ya have anything better to do than disagree with every person who likes the album on youtube? If you don’t like it that much get off the page my dude
Jacob Martin I listened to like 7 songs and I did. Also, I do have better things to do. I was on my way to work when I commented that. Just got here. You can have a career and a life and criticize how fucking garbage this band is now. I like this type of metal too but they just aren't good at it. Erra is a million times better at this sound and I can listen to them all day. They might be more popular now but so what. As long as they are happy sure I guess but for some reason I keep coming back to hope they are making quality music again. For God's sake go listen to it's not safe to swim today this listen to this shit. It's like an Olympic weightlifter broke his back and is in a wheelchair. This new music literally offers nothing new into the music scene and is more bland than a giant can of spam
erich casey lol okay dude. Be unhappy because a band changed their sound. They don’t make music for you anyway, they do it for themselves. As long as they’re proud of it I’m sure they don’t give two shits about your shallow opinion. And btw evolution of sound is what music is about. No point in wanting to listen to four copies of the same album. They progressed. Just like ERRA. JT sounds nothing like their old vocalist, they aren’t nearly as technical, a little bland in some parts, but they’re still good. I think you may be overthinking it
I'm periodically checking youtube to see if someone uploads a drum cover or live recording because I want to know if this is something a human can play
The growls sound more insane than Matriarch, and this song sounds like We Bow In Its Aura mixed with some vibe from Subject Zero. I'm happy they still keep those "spooky" sounds on their songs, they make a huge difference. One example: Subject Zero's intro. Holy shit, that is a masterpiece.
Does anyone else get a Revocation vibe from this song? Solid album overall, was very skeptical of veil of maya implementing clean vocals and changing their style so drastically. But Matriarch and False Idols have become 2 of my favorite metalcore albums.
Does anyone else think 2:20 to the end has a similar feel to Complex Terms by The Human Abstract? It's not exact it feels so cool to make that connection
From that 2.22 mark onwards picture this: A dystopian future where guitar and bass amplifier-styled monoliths tower above the cities, roofing tiled with crash cymbals and sneer drums... where metal bands control the large portions of the world's economy. Where CCTV is found there are speakers instead of cameras that echo monstrous blast beats constantly in an effort to bring everyone in line to the metal overlords and meet their heavy and mosh induced demise. \m/
This song is overkill. When I heard it for the first time in my car I had to put out a hand of restraint in order to try to keep this track at bay . It didn't work.
Been listening to this album to look for a song without (distracting) cleans. I almost thought I wouldn't find one, until I discovered this song. Still IMO not as good as previous work, but a song I can put on my phone and enjoy!
As a massive fan of the old VoM, I gotta say that this album is unbelievably good. This song has a common's man collapse vibe all over it. Amazing.
The perfect VoM blend of old meets new. Undeniably THE best track of this opus.
2:12 Westworld theme song transitions into Stranger Things theme song transitions into the best ending to a song. period.
ItsEvanAndAdam I checked comments just to see if anyone else caught that. Love both shows
Andrew Wilson Ramos yeees same dude it’s the first thing i heard and when it happened the second time and that outro ooooooooo
Glad I wasn't the only one to notice lol
After reading the lyrics this song it might be referring to Westworld, I strongly hear the intro to Westworld in this.
first listen i immediately heard it and loved it so much! it's so creative man
I love the production on this album, usually the new metal records have the shittiest drums n kicks but i love the kicks n drum sounds on this record
WutangBizkit fuckin for real

Ascent To Zenith it reminded me of Stranger Things at 0:57
You should add this poem to your blog. It touched my heart.
My blog? lol
The outro starting at 2:12 is so filthy, I can't get enough of it
If every song was like that this band would be untouchable. That 8bit... Holy shit 😳sounds like the future but it's retro
It’s a fucking mess 🥹
Their best album hands down.
Dig Deep starting to agree.
i like ur username lol, just like the after the burial album
@@devashishchhabra687 Yessir. I have the album cover tattooed on my forearm.
@@Nick-gv9un that's badass dude, I use many atb songs in my videos, they're my favorite

this is the perfect prescription of blast beats and double bass, my goodness. my fever is cured!
I had to keep re-playing this song to make sure it was real.

Lyrics:
In slavery of the blood thirst
Drink from their hearts
If your brother shows mercy
Tear him apart
Apart
Follow me through the winds that curse our name
Out into the land of the slain
Drink from their hearts
Tear their bodies apart
Assemble the wicked
Their souls will be lifted
These machines will not see defeat
As they sever your arteries
Mindless skeletons under control
Slay them all 'til their blood is cold
Watch the limbs fall at your feet
Move your eyes
Through which I can see
With your hands tear through their flesh
Don't bother cleaning the mess
Kill all the rest
Beg to be freed
You're wasting your breath
As you try and speak
Under siege
Brought to your knees
Your imminent death awaits as you plead
Suffering
Follow me
Follow me
Into the land of the slain
Cursing their names we ride
Follow me
Follow me
Into the land of the slain
Cursing their names tonight
Lol sounds like a poem written by an angry satanic 12 year old
These lyrics go so hard
its just like the old veil of maya.
djentalicious I got some of those vibes too bruh
djentalicious the album is a mix between Eclipse & Matriarch, it's like the perfect mix in my opinion
That intro could be ripped straight from id or Common Man's and I'm glad there are a few songs if not most with that kind of little flare added into it. It may not be entire songs filled with it, but it's enough for me to say that this is some great Veil of Maya material.
Jason LovesABR has born of osiris released new stuff?
massiv pp man xddd duuude you should change your username back to Djentalicious😂 however the one you have now is awesome too lol
Sam Applebaum.
YES
@JyLeZ agree
1:54 is the sickest thing I've ever heard
it slaps, to be sure
Sam Carter I can show you a million better metalcore moments than that lol

My favorite from False Idol! Though, the entire album is 🔥🔥🔥
Best song on the album along with echo chamber
Album of the year
Jake Covington ehhhhhh phantom anthem is true bliss as well
I'm torn between this, Oceans ate Alaska's Hikari, and August burns red Phantom Anthem. They're all so great, I really can't decide.
Don't forget make them suffer
1:39 feels like I'm on a pirate's ship on a bright morning
The synth and melody lines on this track remind me so much of the theme from West World, needs to be on the soundtrack to season 2.
did that really just happen?
I'm periodically checking youtube to see if someone uploads a drum cover or live recording because I want to know if this is something a human can play
Jacob Eliason still no drum cover on here. I'm hoping for a playthrough
There is a drum cover..lol Mexican dude killed it!
Jorge arriaga did a phenomenal job
Mike Markin I have no clue how I could have missed that, thank you!
Jacob Eliason you underestimate sams power
By far the best song I've heard in a long time... especially that outro
0:36 this is why Veil is the best

Sam Applebaum- half man half drum machine
gcvpip word!
duuuuuude, you should see the drummer from ocean ate alaska, half-man half-machine!
Every time i see them live Sam looks bored as fuck while playing lol. But he's so ridiculous i don't see how.
Norton Gartino I have yet to see them live :'(. I bet he's crazy. Need more cyborg drummers
Brandon Toft I saw them at tampa and he looked bored and sweaty lol. Maybe that was him on autopilot. Man is ridiculous!
Does anyone else get a Revocation vibe from this song? Solid album overall, was very skeptical of veil of maya implementing clean vocals and changing their style so drastically. But Matriarch and False Idols have become 2 of my favorite metalcore albums.
Newer revocation with the random sexy guitar licks
I can’t believe I never really was into veil for years. I got into their older stuff first, but matriarch quickly became my fav album and now this.
I knew I heard that before. Westworld lol nice veil of maya has been my favorite band since the common man's collapse. Amazing band
0:27 reminds me of old last chance to reason, especially the vocals
if all the songs on this album sounded like follow me I would still have high expectations in this band
Dios el final de la canción es una maravilla 😍 muy buena canción de este álbum
FOR DA LOV OF THE INMACULATED BLAST GOD WHAAAAAAT HAVE YOU DONEEEEEEEEEEE ! yaaaaaaas muak
for the record, that comment is going on my top ten favorite...crappy spelling and all!

Still blasting this album. 🔥🤙 Probably the best song.
The Higler on steroids

Hands down the most brutal track of the album!
Sam's drumming is fuckkkkkkkkking insane on this album, everyone is insane on thisj.. I mean foly huck gronjb rthjonr ryhkn flkhyjyltihjodtinjhok

Does anyone else think 2:20 to the end has a similar feel to Complex Terms by The Human Abstract? It's not exact it feels so cool to make that connection
Scott Anderson it’s the theme from Westworld
Seriously, that ending though... My face fell off.
This song is stellar
This song goes unbelievably hard

That outtro was a fantastic creepy electronic circus/festival 🎪 theme!
This song is overkill. When I heard it for the first time in my car I had to put out a hand of restraint in order to try to keep this track at bay . It didn't work.
Holy fucking pedals 🤘
More like holy fucking computerized drum machine
Sam Applebaum is legit though
Even if he does really play this it's not that musical nor is it impressive
I'd say it's pretty impressive, at least to a lower level drummer like myself, and as far as it is musical, that's up to interpretation
No. If it doesn't follow proper rhythms and uses generic riffs it's not musical.
1:00 stranger things theme vibes from this part haha
They fucking stole it
Sounds like the Westworld theme
.75x speed @ 0:54 then crank it back at 1:06
This song is pure fucking savagery. I just pounded a rolling rock in homage of that outro.
1:06 - 1:54 is nutty as fuck.
tru it's my favorite part of the entire album
Damn! Just heard August Burns Red's Westworld. Now this. Thy veins are ready!
Badass!
0:53 getting Westworld vibes
Long time since I enjoyed a new song of vom
2:22 HOLY SHIIIEETT
1:33 - 1:47 That riff should last longer!
Oh shit, just got a notification on this and I'm already hearing good shit
That outro kick my ass
awesome
Sweet Lord
Song makes me happy for the drummer and feel bad for the bass
I need to learn how to play the drums
Watch the limbs fall at your feet. Move your eyes, through which I can see.
0:54 reminds me of Westworld. Check the same timestamp for the Westworld theme...
Alberto Perez it was probably sampled
My blast beats are here
Came here to see all the westworld comments haha. This whole album is amazing!
china sounds like smashing two shopping carts together at the end there
Heavy AF!
0:55 that Norstein Bekkler vibe

Still IMO not as good as previous work, but a song I can put on my phone and enjoy!
kinda tired of having to accept the 10% of annoying clean. That used to be the rarity, and i could appreciate it...
I think it's more well put together than their old stuff
Yas!
this is sick!!!!!!!
Yes
So fucking good!
No cleans??
2:12-2:24 sounds like music from the game Celeste.
Too good
