"No man can have everything he wants. If this land could be bent to my will, then it would not be worth fighting for. No, this land is shaped by the conflicting ambitions of many great men. Therein lies its beauty. If I die here and if you fall, will all be lost? No. In every act lies its own purpose and meaning. Feel it. The world is moving again. But it is no longer mine. Mitsuhide. I forgive you." God I just can't get enough of his words, they're so amazing.
"Mitsuhide I forgive you" At that point Mitsuhide realized that he chose the wrong path and Nobunaga has capable men to succeed him in Ieyasu and Hideyoshi
"Capable" men, let's be honest, they were not, Ieyasu and Hideyoshi (specially Hideyoshi) managed to destroy most of Nobunaga accomplishments and ultimately created the Warrior and racist mentality that the Japanese soldiers had
That wasn't at the battle, that was a meeting between Oda and Tokugawa after the battle. Ieyasu was impressed with Nobunaga after the battle and saw that the Oda would destroy the Imagawa, so he approached Nobunaga and swore loyalty.
No offense, like. Just a personal opinion; but after looking through the cutscenes, SW1 and SW2 seemed to kind of pale in comparison. There were quite a few cutscenes (at least in SW2) that were just sound and nature's own acoustic. I can't speak on a lot of the other stuff, but the voice acting and pronunciation was cringe-worthy. The way they pronounced the Japanese names were a bit awkward, and they seemed to have a painful struggle in trying to keep their voices in character. (Nagamasa's name was one of the worst struggles for a lot of them xD Like Jesus, Man.) The voices here were kinda iffy in emoting. Putting strange emphasis in awkward places in the speech, etc... But the voices/tones/ seemed to be just a BIIIIT more fitting. I guess in the end this is just a pointless reply though, since I kind of prefer the Japanese dubs (Nobunaga's Japanese voices gives absolute friggin' CHILLS.) (Dx still wish English would have been an option in the SW4 and 4-II installments though. :(
I havent played this or any samurai warriors but i did play Warriors of Orochi and i found stange some of Nobunagas abilities. He seems much closer to his Onimusha counterpart in that aspect, though still love to play as him
In the previous Warriors Orochi games, Yuan Shao wasn’t yet in his full on pompous diva mode unlike in later games. Also, Johnny Yong Bosch and Vic Mignogna reprised their Sengoku Basara roles in Samurai Warriors 3 with Vic’s iteration of Mitsuhide there being less psychotic than the one in Sengoku Basara
@grocamol There are a lot of speculations why Mitsuhide betrayed Nobunaga. One idea is that earlier in his service to him Mitsuhide was ordered by Nobunaga to kill him if he ever thought he'd gone too far in his campaign.
Nobunaga wanted to unite Japan and brought forth revolutionary changes both in warfare and in the way society was structured: instead of placing nobility into high places, he put those who were competent into those positions. He ran, primarily, a meritocracy.
@Bastion70 even if you hate me . nobunaga will not be that evil if he seems sometimes in samurai warriors you see what is happening in the final he forgiving ppls thier failure and he also helped guan ping in warriors orochi..... cao cao may be mighty but only nobunaga knows there cant be only his ambition so they have similarities but they arent fully the same as all
@EtherealVeracity I just dont get how cao cao gets so lucky Lu Bu's army captured him so many times and releases him because they didnt know it was him he must have changed his appearence drasticly.
In Samurai Warriors 1, there are more on fantasy stories, that tells Nobunaga as the Demon... And Mitsuhide is like a prophet who is finding the man in the prophecy... but later Mitsuhide, betray Nobunaga, for the sake of the people... His plan is to end the suffering of the people by killing Nobunaga... Ranmaru is just an assistant of Mitsuhide, but later, she joins Nobunaga against Mitsuhide and been killed by her own master...
That's the only one of these games I've played. Zekrom is on vacation, Toho has got hydreigon for their next Godzilla movie and black rayquaza left after being beaten up by Arceus.
"Outnumbered 5 to 1, the Oda's defeat is inevitable." Yeah right. The dumbass Yoshimoto got cocky and was off guard by the time his head got lopped off.
@GanonKirby89 ... Wait, so you don't like Hideyoshi simply because he's short? So is Ieyasu (if you do a general height comparison during the shooting range scene, it seems Ieyasu's shortness has surpassed even Hideyoshi's)
Is that Vic Mingamo..igna..minamamamama...err edward elric's voice actor doing the voice of Mitsuhide? Think he's also doing Xiahou Ba's voice in DW7 ?
Ist das nicht ein fehler ? Takechiyo Hachiba, Mitsuhide Akechi und Toshie Maeda waren in der schlacht von Okehazama gar nicht mit beteiligt o.o wieso kommen dann alle drei am anfang schon vor?
They both had the same hairstyle, the same facial hair, the same mindset and also, they crushed lords who are much stronger than them* *- Cao Cao defeated Yuan Shao at the Battle of Guandu while Oda Nobunaga curb stomped Imagawa Yoshimoto at the Battle of Okehazama
They've taken Nobunaga's crypticness too far and in the same way they stripped every other relatively complex character from Samurai Warriors 2 of their complexity and made them one way driven machines. Kind of annoying.
@DynastySamuraiNerd he wasn't a dumbass at all,he was a great general but nobunaga far more better than him + he was to confident for his win and so he was caught off guard
Why is Ieyasu also involved in the battle of Okehazama? if he also there and Tadakatsu there to help Yoshimoto, aren't they suppose to successful destroy the Raid?
I bet Ieyasu has a crisis of conscience “The attack on Okehazama against the Imagawa has placed the lord of Mikawa, Matsudaira Motoyasu*, in a precarious position. Will he allow the Fool of Owari, Oda Nobunaga, to destroy the lord of Suruga, Imagawa Yoshimoto, or will he aid his liege and be exterminated as well? The poor tanuki** has a daunting choice to make” *- Ieyasu’s former name **- a nickname for Ieyasu
that was the point that so called "terrible" voice acting is what made it. those voice actors feel like they fit the part of old cultured characters. I was not a fan of the famos voice actors being in this series. it just dosen't fit having Ichigo be Yukimura and Edward Elric be Mitsuhide.
The Nobunaga ending in SW2 was one of the best endings in any video game ever I think. Yeah this ending is a little too happy do-gooder. The philosophy of Nobunaga is there but he doesn't have his usual edge.
this version of Nobunaga Oda is an iconic character on highest quality , he is too good for this game
I know right? This is for me the best version of the character and the best voice actor in english
@@rodrigocofre693 like the opinion but sw2 had a vibe on a whole new level and the voice acting was at its prime
@@dvm24 i cant deny that, but is good to know more people who like sw3 and his story line

Yes and after that gonna be slayed by hideoshi and nobunaga dissapear but i prefer see him just "left the things to be this way"

*ITS. JUST. THAT. SIMPLE.*
Is that so
YOU HAVE EARNED MY PRAISE, WARRIOR!

I love how the 2 Shoguns of the future felt the world was moving when Nobu was giving his speech.
Only Tokugawa became the Shogun while Hideyoshi did not
SW3 has a very good soundtrack for the cutscenes
The cool thing is that the character outfit that is default looks similar to the Conqueror's Armor in Kessen III
His armor represents his appreciation for the west and unites it with his custom
2:15...is epic...Nobunaga looks beyond badass....he's something more...
Nobunaga and Lady nohime are so perfect together
It's funny how the Characters in this game had guns, yet they were made into a Childrens' Game with Pokemon.
They need to bring Samurai Warriors back to the Playstation. :(
That speech in the ending is just awesome !
Voice Actor: Christopher Corey Smith
Better than the SW2 voice actor
In Samurai Warriors 1 he had Cao Cao's voice.
Nobunaga shares a voice with Yuan Shao and Emperor Mateus from Final Fantasy 2
Which Yuan Shao are we talking about? 4, 5 or the more recent ones?
magoichi75 Recent
Christopher Corey Smith voiced Yuan Shao in the later Dynasty Warriors games (7-8, to be exact)
I love Hideyoshi's voice for some reason...
Can you do all of his cutscenes please?
It's just that simple!
You have earned my praise, warrior!
What happened? SW1 and SW2 voice acting, writing, music, and cutscene cinematography were amazing. but this one? All flat.. almost like DW6 cutscenes
+TheCycloneable This was on the Wii.......................
John von Shepard dude, SW1 and SW2 were on PS2..............

yeah nobunaga had a much more intimidating voice Iayasu had a wise, and hideyoshi had a pleasent anf funny voice i miss their voices...
Samurai Warriors 3 Nobunaga is the best Nobunaga!
Totally agree
I always practice english speech using dialog in this cutscene.. the voice actor really fit in
Nobunaga is more good in this one. I have the first samurai warriors and my gosh he's so morbid.

SW2 cut scene graphic looks better and storyline much more intense. This one just feels empty and weird. I prefer SW2 wtf happened

There's a number of voice actors from Dissidia in this game...
Takenaka Hanbei = Zidane of FF9
Oda Nobunaga = The Emperor from FF2
Yuan Shao and Nobunaga are as of now both voiced by Christopher Corey Smith. They did not share a voice in warriors orochi.

If you can describe a man like Oda Nobunaga, what would it be?
A demon can try made the things right with extreme methods but for a good for everyone
a dude who likes setting shit on fire
A calm yet ruthless visionary
yes return of the dw narrator
Isn't that narrator the same voice actor for Dynasty Warriors 5,6, and 7?

whats the background music in the scene between nobunaga and leyasu?
