Hey, everybody! Let's continue to work in this journal! I am adding bulk, expanding the pages, and starting to do some art in this trashy junk journal. I am LOVING the bright pink and all the visible trash.
This video was recorded on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. This video is not heavily edited. This is for those of you who like to see the entire journal process and maybe have the ASMR background noise of something going on while you work.

My name is Lynn. Creativity started with altering my clothing as a young girl. I love birds, gardens and all things botanical. My current artistic focus includes paper and fabric, especially making handmade journals. - Навчання та стиль
I feel exactly the same way when you said you feel sad that you can keep everything. I keep a lot of letters, cards and many other things that has special memories attach to them. I don't want to throw them away but as I get older, I collected a lot of things that are "useless" but "cannot" throw away and I have no more space for anything. I am thinking ways to make them into something useful so i can still keep the memories in something functional. Journal is one of the thing i can think of. And seeing you making "trash journal" make me feel more confidence to make one myself. Thank you for sharing.

Love this journal. When I see packaging,I see the graphics and potential for journals. I love this concept of the journal ‘s purpose to contain trash only and it’s becoming so interesting to look at.

Love grommets. They add such character and personality to your artwork. Sometimes, I run across built-in grommets on fabric samples. Love them!!!

Dry adhesive sticks on glossy surfaces.
I plan to add a trash section in my travel journal.
Keep the memories, take pictures then discard the bric brac clutter.

Great cover, really love the little lady. Do you give the girls name that you draw? Interesting how you expanded the pages. If you use a very fine sand paper and go over the glossy page lightly , of course have to brush off the page after,it will take some color. The fabric pieces really gave your journal some texture.

Wow! This is the first time seeing this kind of junk journal. I am wondering why not make the collage of packaging into sheets before putting them in the book? I will look for duck tape. I never thought of using duck tape to make signatures.
Hi Lisa! Thank you so much! It has been a while since I saw this video, so I’m not sure exactly which pages you mean, but I enjoy having a blank slate and then working on it as things float into my orbit. I loved working with the duct tape. xx
@@abitofbirdsong It’s hard to explain. If I would use old cardboard and old envelopes to create sheets to put inside a book cover, I would create the sheets first and then add those sheets inside the cover.
That makes sense. I do both. ❤️😊
