Why do I find myself waiting impatiently for Andy’s podcast after each match/tournament now?!?
Cuz he's the damn BEST
Same
T2 is free. Watch it there first if you don't want to wait as long.
Probably don't have much else going on in your day
@@got2bjosh I can tell by the icon on your profile, that you are a man of exquisite taste. Mariah forever :-)
Can we please have 1 big video with the whole podcast for that week? These smaller ones are fine but it’s difficult to figure out what part you’ve watched and which one you haven’t.
That, sadly, is the point. Having you watch 3 videos is more traffic than one.
@@Dan-vo7vc good point. But then at least mark them Part 1, Part 2 etc
Thank you for your support! It might seem like we're producing numerous clips to boost viewership, but the truth is quite the opposite. Our exclusive agreement with T2/Tennis Channel provides them a one-week window to air content first on T2 every Sunday night, excluding audio. This arrangement allows us to offer a more detailed Audio Podcast on Tuesday. Our aim is to make all our content available to you, in your preferred format. Here's our schedule for better understanding:
- Friday/Saturday: We record content for the T2 Show.
- Sunday: The T2 Show debuts, followed by re-airings throughout the week on both T2 and Tennis Channel.
- Monday: We record the Racket Rundown and any other new pieces.
- Tuesday: We release the full Audio Podcast, containing all content. The UA-cam Show also premieres, featuring the Racket Rundown, new content from Monday, and any segments from the weekend not aired on T2 due to time restrictions.
All content showcased on T2 is eventually uploaded to the Served UA-cam channel the following week.
Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to provide all content to you for free!
@@ServedPodcast thanks guys! I fucking love this podcast!!!!

Watched Collins' run through Miami and then got to see semis and finals in person in Charleston. I don't remember the last time I saw a player being this dominant and playing with so much confidence. She's taking the ball closer to the baseline and opening up the court with angles and then as Andy mentioned hitting clean winners with large margins into wide open court. I hope she can keep it going through the rest of the year.
They barely covered it, but Shelton played great in Houston. Getting through IceBerg & VeryBerry on clay was particularly telling of how much Ben's movement & BH on return have improved. All of his opponents tried picking on Belton's backhand, but they found it was much more stable. He wasn't afraid of ripping down the line winners, either. The serve & forehand are always great.
And so, Ben Clayton rises to a new career high of #14 (#13 LIVE). Fritz's R1 loss to Musetti in Monte-Carlo, sees him relinquish US #1 to Shelton in the LIVE rankings after a three year reign from April 2021 to April 2024. I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the season is a battle between Shelton & Fritz for pole position.
Paul's ankle needs time to heal & Tiafoe is still finding his form. Neither court scrambler has the big serve or groundies of Shelton & Fritz. The #9-15 section of the rankings is now super crowded with Top 10 players who are unwilling to be easily dislodged by the likes of Paul, Tiafoe, and even Fritz. Of the top four US male players, Shelton seems to be operating with the most sustainable momentum and clarity while also having the least amount of points to defend until USO '24. Insiders said Ben could become the new US #1 and here we are.
The gap between Ben and ATP Finals contention probably requires winning a M1000. But he has very few points to defend until September. If he can keep it respectable through RG, and I think he can really shine at Queens/Eastbourne/WM
@@BoxOfOranges84 Ben won't be in contention for ATP Finals, but he could find a way to stay in the Top 15 as opposed to the Top 20. Even that slight upward shift represents huge gains made.
A rod ur still killing it dude. What a sense of humour. Pure entertainment 😅 keep up the good work
Can you wear a different cap for each episode just so we can differentiate the shorter clips?
As everybody else has already said, it is hard to keep track of what episodes I have watched and what parts. Please put an episode number and the parts or something like that.
Thanks! It does say the episode number on the thumbnail. Will keep working to make it clearer.
Love your podcast Andy! You were my favorite player growing up. I couldn't subscribe fast enough!
Insightful stuff Rodders!
Why didnt Tennis Channel cover the tournament in Houston? How rare are 2 americans in the finals?
Because ESPN deal to cover it. It wasn't just rare, it was historic.
Andy should have Rick Macci on to discuss USTA player development. He could tell you a story about my son's backhand and Patrick McEnroe's comment.
Andy Roddick, my suggestion: treat ur pod like you treated a tennis ball. Monster serve forehand!! Talk to us about betting in tennis, tell us about steroids in sports, give us the scoop on endorsements and the dark side of that...leave the lukewarm chatter for the former boring moonballers. Love the pcast 🎾💪🏻
what's the rationale behind not publishing the full episode on youtube?
T2/TC has an exclusive window for the week on the visual portion of the podcast except for what does not make it to air on Sunday night. All content eventually makes it onto UA-cam.
The Tuesday Audio Podcast is everything all in one episode.
@@ServedPodcast Got it, thanks! Is it possible to upload the full episode after the week-long embargo?
I wonder if occasionally, Mike could throw names of past/present tennis players to Andy and we could get his personal impression, warts and all.
If you think this is a good idea, this is my list of American champions (I'm English):
1. Chris Evert
2. Jennifer Capriarti
3. Tracey Austin
4. Pete Sampras
5. John McEnroe
The Americans all play exceptionally in America. The real test is outside the US
Many players often play better with home court advantage. The Eurocentric nature of the tennis schedule AND surface homogenization of the past few decades largely favoring counterpunchers on return has seen Eurasian players often set up for success at home tournaments more so than players from countries outside Europe. Also, the European clay (softer brick) & American clay (harder, mountainous stone) are from the same American company in Virginia.
So true, especially Gauff. Her opponents were simply psyched out/intimidated by the crazed fans at her matches like the USO F with Sabalenka. The insufferable boorish Serena crowd has found their way to Coco's matches.
@@intoto9739 Child, please. Just say you hate black women & keep it moving. Everyone knows the French, South American, & Aussie crowds are the MOST intense, biased crowds in tennis. As for USO, Sable already won her maiden GS that year & so people were rooting for Gauff to get on the board as well. 2023 saw four different victors at the Slams, three of whom were maiden winners.
Christian Alshon said he'd destroy you.
Collins is just bludgeoning everybody to death. The Women's game has become all about power. In any given match-up the bigger ball basher always dictates the outcome -- if she's having a good day she hits her opponent off the court, if she's having a bad day she hits herself off the court. This doesn't happen in men's game because the power disparity is nowhere near as big in men's tennis. Short of separating their players into weight classes, WTA needs to switch back to lighter RD balls ASAP, not just to reduce injuries but also give the smaller, weaker players a fighting chance. And also it's time for tennis to go to 1 serve only to eliminate all serve-botting.
John, if you’re going to do this podcasting thing full-time, please get a professionalmic. It sounds like you’re talking in a tunnel. Thanks!
Collins is playing w/ house money since announcing she's retiring this season. She's doing it all on her own terms and w/ no coach, hitting partner, or trainer.
That shoul😂d b me coach hitting and etc
Andy ever heard of dream theater mike portnoy john pettrucci ? Yes no? Music test
Uh um uh um..
Clean it up a bit!
Andy Roddick & Co. what he's trying to say is reduce/control the distracting vocal disfluencies. It's one of the first things you learn when studying Speech, Acting, and/or Broadcasting.
