- June 18, 1961. In a small village in Northern Spain, San Sebastián de Garabandal, four girls, Conchita, Jacinta, Mari Loli, and Mari Cruz, claim that St. Michael the Archangel has just appeared to them. A few days later, on July 2, 1961 they receive a visit from Our Lady of Mount Carmel. After this first encounter, there are more than two thousand visits from this heavenly Lady. The village’s parish priest, Fr. Valentín, and the Civil Guard brigadier, Mr. Juan Álvarez Seco, suddenly become protagonists in an overwhelming event. They must struggle to find where the truth lies, while confronting a perplexed hierarchy and facing an ever growing multitude of people who arrive at the village in the search of answers.

This film is a remarkable work. The review of Garabandal should be opened again by an honest group of bishops and the words of the BVM should be made widely known throughout the church.

So Ratzinger denied wrong doing by bishops right to the end. If you want to know why he retired it was because he knew all about it and wanted to get out of view. It would seem Ratzinger is one of whom the BVM spoke of. He may not be as holy as the conservative church claims he is.

I was waiting for this and after watching the movie, to me it seems as if this was all about brigadeer and his experience in dealing with the girls and their visions. Wasnt soo much about the girls, so I’m gonna say I did not like the way the movie was done.
