Diving 2 deep in search of peace, beyond your reach . The rippling waves giving us a small glimpse of your sunlit glistening souls
No band could fill the entire gap left by Led Zeppelin's end, but this band fills a considerable portion of it! I never had the pleasure and privilege of experiencing a Zeppelin show, so I feel all the more pleased and privileged to have experienced Soundgarden's shows a few times, in the SF Bay Area.

A week or so has passed and how quickly we move on...Yet, I haven't ..This one caused me to pause...Allman died today,,,and though a tragedy, it was foreseeable...I worked the houses when MJ died...Driving through Celebrity neighborhoods and pointing out the this and that, while the firestorm swelled. Though MJ was traumatic, Chris's death hit me at home. MJ was a mythical figure...Chris was one of "us"....Lyrically gifted, voice like no other, he transcended the squalor of the grunge scene...I was a hair metal fan, when I came across Soundgarden but was transformed...He enlightened me...or at least, helped me see I could see beyond tomorrow...Sadly, for he and his family (aat least for "now") there are no tomorrow's left....I will miss his voice, his soul, his words...sorry, if I rambled.
Loved your music-making Chris Cornell! Rest in Peace my friend, long may your work represent your contribution to us all. Peace on your journey dear friend.

Hugs to you!!!!
I fell in love with soundgarden & Chris Cornell the 1st time I heard this song, it's my favorite of them all, and still 15 years later still my favorite song.
I’m 60. These guys brought me back to rock after checking out with the big hair bands.....hated them. Then I heard PJ soundgarden etc....and I was loving rock again
zdrumdude cool 😎❤️
Big hair bands were nice too
when you get old hair dos'nt matter just lyrics do
I'm 33 and I feel the same. Classic rock like sabbath, skip The 80s, Then pick up with the 90s
We Remember you Chris.
Thank you for your gifts.
I understand.
Xo
If I only knew your words when I was a child listening to them. I hope your family sees this message and your kids how much you have helped threw your music. Thank you.
Rest in peace Chris. You will be missed by so many people.
This song is a perfect example of the dichotomy that is life. I love it!!!
The paradoxical balancing of the seemingly opposed
🔺❤️🔻
Now this is exactly the comment I needed to see in this comment section because it really does shine light on a subject that's not really comfortable to feel but somehow he made it into a beautiful feeling

I listen to this song and I’m happy that I’ve made it past my black days. Keep hope, always!
Love this song so much. I fell on black days myself. Don't cage what you want to see fly. So much emotion here.
just when every day seemed to greet me with a smile, sunspots have faded, now i'm doing time.
this, fellas, is the truth of depression. i feel so understood..
Can words and music be so true to one's heart and mind? These are with no doubt.
Lead Singers of rock and roll bands, so quick to reach out and touch our hearts and stir our souls, one can never fully understand the depths of your inner oceans and the undercurrents that drag you below, living fast drowning slow. Diving 2 deep in search of peace, beyond your reach . The rippling waves giving us a small glimpse of your sunlit glistening souls
Chris Cornell RIP. hung out with a couple of times on the road, a really nice guy who was alot of fun to hang with
donald byrom wrong choice of words
His Last Words To Me Were I Love You Sal
I lived up in the northwest in the 90's. This group was fire. Everyone was wearing plaid shorts with thermals underneath. Good memories.
Chris Cornell making amazing music as always. Whether it be Soundgarden or Audioslave!
I’m finding that Chris’s lyrics are resonating with me more and more as I get older , not gonna lie that kinda worries me .
I can't listen to this without bursting into tears. I didn't think I was depressed but maybe I am
No band could fill the entire gap left by Led Zeppelin's end, but this band fills a considerable portion of it! I never had the pleasure and privilege of experiencing a Zeppelin show, so I feel all the more pleased and privileged to have experienced Soundgarden's shows a few times, in the SF Bay Area.
r.i.p 1 of the greatest rock voice ever
One of the best songs ever ..Im sure you will have a star that Shines so bright ...Rip Chris
If depression had a signature song this would be it.
True that blendedbananas
I'd say down in a hole by Alice in Chains but vocalists Chris and Layne both had some bad demons in their lives and both poured out their entire broken souls into their songs. RIP to both
a lot of his songs if you pay attention really showed how much trouble he was in. It's really sad.
This song and Nutshell from Alice In Chains hit me hard.
Staind as well ; hits the never chords
RIP Angel AMEN
Thank you so much for EVERYTHING.
Philadelphia USA 🇺🇲 AMEN ☦️🙏😇❤️
Swear everytime I turn on the radio these days all I hear are GHOSTS, and getting DAMN tired of it. If I'm gonna hear a ghost, by God, I'm gonna listen to one of the BEST FUCKING GHOSTS to ever hold a microphone. RIP, Chris. You were one of a kind.
I'm a singer/songwriter and would listen to this man in awe wishing I had a voice like that. Still do. Truly one of my idols. Love you brother.
music is eternal, life is not, appreciate what you have for what little time you have it
Such an amazing talent!!! It's a shame we lost him so soon... This is my favorite song hands down!!!
this song is so legendary
I was fan of this song and band long before I was a fan of supernatural!
hands down, best voice, in 90's music, by far
yeah okay
Dan Freeburg ..you did great bud..i was depressed for a few days
Rip. A True voice of a generation.
Loved your music-making Chris Cornell! Rest in Peace my friend, long may your work represent your contribution to us all. Peace on your journey dear friend.

I sure don't mind a change, Thank God I am sober and clean, going on 3 yrs. To my people still out living in the struggle, I love you all and you can beat it.
I thank my dad for showing me this and making me listen to this when I was 4 to when I was 11
Cool Jam, lets remember him for his great voice. Lifes rough at times, better days ahead.
