She’s in my field! That being the forensic psychologist/psychiatrist field. I took a class in my senior year taught by a PhD candidate and she worked in the forensic psychiatric hospital in NYC. She was the one who inspired me to want to work behind the wall

I feel you girls helped sooo much with informing about what goes on with an NGRI commitment, how its not like what the movies or stories portray the mentality ill community is, and how its not a "get out of jail free card", i actually have been Found NGRI and was committed to my states hospital, it was very in-depth progress and takes alot of work to even be what's called on a "Conditional Release", treatment teams and Risk Review Boards you have to present to, its basically having to learning about yourself all over again, how your symptoms are, how much things in life can cause triggers to your illness, more than u could even imagine, it took me sooo long to get my Conditional Release and still had to even do more after anyways soo many words in this comment 😂, but thank you girls for shedding some light on the actuality of this🙂

Amazing video Jen and Kourtney! This program sounds like it is efficient and trauma informed. I've seen so many programs for our community that sound good but when you dig into them the people that participate in them don't have that level of trust to do the requirements and to pick up the phone and say "hey, I'm not safe, not feeling like my usually self, I need a safe place to go." That is massive to me. I was clapping and crying listening to this because it's so nice to hear of "wins" for our people. Thank you both for what you are doing!

Super interesting! I could‘ve listened for much longer 😍❤️ i‘ve worked in psychiatry (with forensic Wing) myself but not in the US, so it was awesome to hear about. Important program 🙏🏻

I had this video on in the background as I was making my bed and that part really hit me hard. I've struggled with my mental health for so long and it really is a tiny huge victory as you said. ❤️
