So many questions:- 1- How do I check the DHCP etc? 2- When doing the f2pool config- You go into pool config in the goldshell miner but you don't really give much detail as to what we are supposed to do after the account is set up. I understand you recorded it days before and then you went ahead but it's very confusing. Can you explain a bit more on what to do to actually finish the setup?
Nice video! I've been wanting one of these for a while..i have several usb Gridseed blade 80 chip miners, but they only get 6.04mhs each.... F2pools ltc payout threshold is 0.02 ltc
I think that you need to check your math. 8 x 230w = 1840w. That's alot more than 750 or 1200 watt psu can provide. Nit picking aside. Love you content, keep it comming.
Please do not download 3rd party software out of the internet for scanning your personal home network, this is terrible practice right here. Use your router/modem/firewall instead and while you are there, create a static IP address for your overpriced mini ASIC miner :p
My mini-doge is arriving Monday. I know they aren't very profitable now.. but I get unlimited power with my rent. So my ROI will be slightly better. I could also run it off of my solar system.
Thanks, I just set mine up and this video helped!!! also if using f2pool, which I recommend make sure to add your " login.worker " into the pool settings, not just a worker name. password doesn't matter.
Mine come in Thursday next week it says… Let’s hope I got the logos on em! That’s so messed up with the fine print! I lucked out with the Halloween addition apparently as you have seen in my video. ❤️🔥
Perfect timing, was able to setup my Goldshell miners. The hardest thing was figuring out wallets, pools, and pool configurations. Bad instructions on their sites doesn't help. They also take a lot of power to run. Pretty much need a dedicated 1000W PSU to run 3 of them at peak efficiency.
Has anyone had any issues with their miner just not working? I have the power supply it came with and bought a North American adapter from Best Buy and when I plugged it in, nothing happened. The fans didn't turn, no lights came on, nada. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
@@TheHobbyistMiner I haven't. Though I'm starting to wonder if the power supply I have for it does support it. I might try buying a power supply that I know can support it and go from there
I set up my miner thanks to your video so thank you, but I only see it mining lite coin to my pool. Is there anything specific you have to do to mine some doge? Thanks
Can you tell me about that standoff underneath the break out board seen at 3:12? It doesn't seem to be part of the board when you follow the link provided.
Hey, i have a Inno3D Geforce RTX 3060 Ti TWIN X2 (non LHR) i used it for gaming but now i want to mine with it. I can't find any good overclocks for this card to mine ethereum. Does someone have a clue?
I have 6 of them is not bad one question the power supply you got how many you think you can connect to it i have 2 bitmain power supply 1800 watt and they are kind of loud i would like to know if that power supply you have is less loud thanks for sharing
great video i have had one of these for a couple months. Could you direct me to where I can properly learn how to set up static ip? I run an x5 also and seem to always have a problem with dns and had to set it to public one seems to take hours to connect. Thanks again for all the videos.
What am I missing with this thing it seems a terrible investment, by the time it pays for its self it will be wore out Less than a dollar a day and costs $1000 plus none starter for me
You need 1or 2 buy more and STACK thim on one another put thim in the living room in the corner or some place that just need a low heat . That will put your power at 450 or 680 can put thim anywhere ! I think you will make you money back in under 365 days DOGE COIN will come back up ! have a good day .
I just got myChristmas drop mini doge in, and its significantly louder and warmer then my other ones, not sure if its because the other is an RGB and has different fans or not.
Yeah I had all three of these mini doges fail in less than a year. The 6 pin connectors don't handle the power and Goldshell was of no help. These things are junk and Goldshell is a trash company
@@sumyunguy777that is true, 2 of my units nearly burnt my place down. For some strange reasons I went downstairs only to find two boxes smoking. Shut the power off and the connectors had completely melted and fire was imminent. Call it a 6th sense or whatever, but damn lucky I went downstairs
Nice video, but it's not worth it if you ask me.. Even with free electricity it takes about 2 Year to break even. Not even taken in to account that the bull market would not take 2years to arrive here.
a review from someone who is truthful and doesn't have a financial stake in the hardware..cool.
Just setup my mini Doge by watching this video. F2pool was easy enough, now I'm off to the races. Thanks for a detailed walk through.
Glad it helped!
You can't do 8 Doge Miners off the 750W power supply. The max is 3 Doge Miners to the Power Supply. These pull 233W of power.

I’ve been curious about these. I’m a fan of Doge! Nice video 👍

excellent coffee mug! I may have to get one as I have a couple of these little bad boys in the background Thanks again for another great video!

Hey quick question from a new mining newbie. Does VPN affect the F2pool and/or hashrate?
Thanks :)
Lol, this would take almost 5 years to pay for itself..
u make more profit just buy the box and resell on ebay while u mining haha

Is that hp power supply energy efficient at all? If so does it have a rating like gold or bronze
Yes. I recommend Platinum
Are the pci cables able to handle 233 watts?
Thank you for all the videos you create everyday man.
Great video, looking forward to the results in a couple of weeks, :)
Will do a follow up video as time goes on.
Do you use a VPN for these? If so, why. Thanks for details when replying.
At 1:49 he says nice mesh for intake, but that's clearly where the fans blow the exhaust air out of

I have not had that issue. Did you contact GoldShell Support? Maybe try a server psu, breakout board and pci cables?

Did you setup a payout wallet to LTC and DOGE?
Also took a few hours for me to start seeing anything populate
Very nice video! Was looking into maybe getting one of these since it can run on 120V!
11:25 God forbid someone steals your password and takes those $1/day profits! lols
Can i power it from normal atx power supply that power my one graphics card at the same time?
In theory yes. As long as you have enough watts. You should use 80% of the atx power supply watts to be safe.
Could I power one of these from a spare 6pin PICE on an ATX PSU? Been looking at getting one just curious as currently I only use ATX PSU

My mini doge miner wouldn't connect to mining pool. Then I updated firm wear. After that it wouldn't hash but it connected to the mining pool.

You're not missing anything. This is a horrible investment. It should cost $149 not $1000.
I want one of these but I can't find it in stock anywhere except ebay. tried a couple drops now and missed them :(
@9:30 You could connect 8 doge miners, but you would have a fire or something lol! 233 x 8 = 1864 watts.

What’s the compatible voltage input?
100-240v
200-277v
If anyone can help thank you
Where do you live for that rate?

So odd they are different
Just FYI you can type in other pools, you don't have to select one of theirs.
Wish I could actually buy one near retail...gold shell never has them in stock
