The whole "we shall overcome" thing is a wrap! Black on black violence is going up, which we've done nothing about and now we're worrying about an election? We're focused on the wrong thing, nothing u listed will be put in to action for black people. Get a passport, invest, and look for places to move. My mom, sister, and I already have ours. Having options is what's most important, not worry about how we can band together to fix the unfixable. Especially when the odds haven't been in our favor, ever!
The only party who will give you those things is the Republican party who gave you those allotments in 1865.

We had acted community policing and set up the reparations bill known as 40 acres in a mule in 1865. The Democratic Party fought to keep all of those things from black Americans and then created the KKK and Jim Crow to keep all of those things in place.

Speaking on the black vote, I heard a rumor that the 3/5th Compromise was never officially reversed for the blacks to vote 100% on the ballots. Kind of weird, my k-12 classes never mentioned that detail/situation...

IN 1865 we the Republican party actually gave many African-Americans 40 acres and a mule. The Democrats fought to end the program and even created The KKK to stop people ,Black people in particular from getting their money.
The Democrats do not feel like African-Americans deserve any type of reparations. They did not feel that way in 1865 because they’re just their logic was that they took care of African-Americans since 1820. They feel that they lost money with slavery and actually African-Americans owe them money.
Please understand that the Democrats set up a plan to give the slave owners reparations. Please look it up.

@3fkd Us? Why do you vote based on "Us"? You vote based on you. And voting matters when you think how it applies to your own life. So for instance, I work for DHS. So George W. Bush was the best vote for me, because he was going to increase pay in my industry. I'm black, but I dont know what the next black man's needs are, because they aren't my needs. No offense, but any black person asking politicians what they can do for the black community are holding us back.

First of all you need an ask, a unified ask. Right now we have factions who want different things and then when someone gets what they want done but it's not your thing you say they didn't do anything for me. There are black people who fought for Juneteenth to become a holiday. Juneteenth is a national holiday now. But to those who didn't care about that they complain nothing changed. People can't give you what they don't know you want. Closed mouths don't get fed.
If you truly want choices you have to get involved sooner. Don't wait until the primaries are over and then complain that my "thing" isn't being talked about or addressed. Run your own candidates. Build coalitions. Black people are a minority in America which operates in a system that is mostly majoritarian; so you need other people to come along with you.
