@@JeffreyMarciano That's just the accepted etiquette in tennis. It's to acknowledge that it's a lucky shot. Regardless of the logic behind it, it's a commonly accepted custom that every tennis player follows, even pros. Failing to do it is a sign of bad sportsmanship.

As someone who was pretty mellow on court those type of players motivated me to win even more just to shut them up. College tennis culture was beyond annoying to me.
