I've seen this done in a western factory, there were a few more mechanical aids but the basic process is exactly the same, assembly and finishing can only be done by hand.

Yes you are absolutely right and there is nothing that can replace with handmade beauty
You would be surprised what is still done by hand. There are a lot of products that are part automated assembly, but other portions have to be done by hand. One exampke was a video I watched of gaming laptops being made. The motherboard was made completely through automation, but the finally assembly (placing it in the laptop, putting the screen in, speakers, and fan) was all done by hand.
I used to work as an assembly technician for a company building machines that sort seeds, corn, beans, etc. We'd receive the parts and materials from various suppliers, but the final assembly and calibration was done all by hand. We even had to make wiring harnesses by hand.

ADMIRABLE. Especially those guys who do the first work: digging out the porcelain clay FROM THE GROUND with a pick axe. RUNNING UP THAT STEEP RAMP TO DUMP THEIR BUCKETS LOOKS ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT TO ACCOMPLISH. Prolly a thousand times a day! IMPRESSIVE TO SAY THE LEAST!

Beautiful work indeed. But so far it's very labour intensive. By the time 50 are produced these men will all their bodies in pains. This is what a "KANNYWOOD ACTOR", Late Ibro of Kano used to referred to as "JININ TALAKA" meaning "Poor man's blood". Whatever it's better than being unemployed. Men of great honour, all are doing that to see food is on the table for the family.
I think there Hard Work should be rewarded! There bosses should buy there workers equipments! And protect clothing! boots! and all tools! machines! Mask from Dust! And Even a Little outdoor place soo.. They can sit down for Lunch breaks a Nice Shady Area! And a Walsh room for there Hands and Faces! ✌️😁❤️❤️❤️

Works done to very high standards.they beat the machines.perfection maintenance at every level
The machine work had taken over more than 75%. The slip is made by using ball mills. The man has to set the mould n the slip is fed into the mould. After 2 to 3 hours it's demoulded in leather hard condition. When it becomes dry the surfaces are finished soft by fine sand papers. Then on rotating table it is glazed by using glazing spray gun. Dried n loaded on trollies, fired to the requisite temperature. Of course it's labour oriented job.
