- What is a hospitalist?
Our physicians are hospitalists. They are internal medicine physicians who provide general medical care for hospital inpatients. They specialize in caring for hospitalized patients, so they are very experienced in the unique needs that may arise during a hospital stay. Hospitalists are in the hospital for their entire workday, so they are easily accessible, even after hours and on weekends.
What our hospitalists do
During your hospitalization, our hospitalists work with nurses, social workers, therapists, pharmacists and consulting physicians to coordinate your care. We will arrange or help coordinate your hospital discharge. We keep your family doctor up-to-date with your admission and discharge information, so he or she has the information necessary to provide your ongoing care.
About our team
In addition to our physicians, our team includes physician assistants, certified registered nurse practitioners and nurse clinicians who assist us in your care. They visit patients with us, help coordinate your hospital care, help communicate with your family and play a key role in planning your hospital discharge and follow-up care after you return home.

@@Hemrajkarmin Physician Assistant who works as a hospitalist. We have to work under the supervision of a licensed MD/DO. So the doctor speaking in this video would be my supervisor. As the PA, I would report to him.

I really enjoy being a Hoslitalist! It is VERY demanding, but rewarding. Peace! O the PA Pro🤓
How are you a Dr. ? PA stands for physicians ASSISTANT
DHEd......
He is a Doctor of health education. He is a physician assistant. Not a physician(s) assistant. He provides high quality medical care and practices medicine about 90% as much a Doctor would. (Excluding performing surgery)
I deal with my cases as such, like a Hospitalist, while using other skills and experience. #Clear Communication is key.
