Hutterites & Honey Bees | Premier Bee Products

Our neighbors at the Orland Hutterite Colony run around 300 hives and harvest honey not only for their colony's supply, but also to build relationships throughout the region.
Hutterites have been in South Dakota since the 1880s where they practice a traditional way of living that keeps them family-oriented and centered in their faith.
Paul and Ricky Wurtz let us in for a tour of their beekeeping operation and shared some insights about life in the colony.

They even make the honey themselves, the bees just stand by and make sure they're doing it correctly.
