7:10 You’re saying that women over analyze each other yet they were both right in the situation. Riley was correct that her friend was hiding something and her friend was correct that Riley knew that she was hiding something. That’s not over analyzing that’s just being aware. it’s called reading the room.
I think everyone misses this and maybe it’s because I’m looking too much into it, but my understanding was that there was never really a “scrimmage” on the last day of camp and the girls were basically just teasing Riley. They can see how creepily obsessed Riley is with the Red Hawks that they’re just mean girls to her.
29:52 Riley has already mastered grounding! You concentrate on your physical senses-- what you can touch, see, and hear, and it calms you down from a panic attack.
it's an anxiety attack here, idk if it works the same with panic attacks, I just know from reading a comment a while back that panic attacks happen when there's actual danger
"Oh, my gosh, I'm so sorry! I can get ahead of myself. I'm Anxiety, one of Riley's new emotions, and we are all super jazzed to be here. Where can I put my stuff?"
As a 32yr old who only just started figuring out my own anxiety in my mid 20s...this movie resonated so much with me. The depiction of an anxiety attack was exactly what it feels like. Even when you have Joy telling you to stop. Anxiety is self destructive. And it was displayed so well.
Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader were, allegedly, only offered $100k each to reprise their roles in Inside Out 2 whereas other actors got larger offers. They both rejected to return due to salary disputes. From what I’ve seen, most people aren’t too upset that Mindy didn’t come back. Ever since her Scooby Doo original series, she’s been in hot water. And, honestly… Inside Out 2 is just fine without the two of them, in my opinion. They got good actors to replace them that still sound like the emotion they’re representing.
The last self-sense saying "I sometimes need help" hits even stronger in spanish, where she directly says" I need help" (necesito ayuda), and then their emotions hug her.
9:20 im guessing theyre very prominent because even lesser emotions are amplified by puberty. Mom has anxiety walk in for a cameo and suppresses it in the end of the film.
I really like the final pairing of Pouchy and Anger. As you grow, when you get angry there is ,when you are lucky, a breath to go through different responses before the dynamite hits. You might be able to handle it in another way and not just hit the gas and erupt. This was better for me because of the reaction and mechanism of the panic attack. Thank you for the prompt reaction and all the work that went into it. It was great.
I'm pretty sure the orange maniac has completely taken over my mind's HQ... Anyway, Pixar continues to be the top dog of animation studios. I loved Inside Out uno way more, but this was a very great sequel. Amazing animation and score... That's the heart of Pixar. As an adult I can still enjoy their films because of their deep messages. I already know Inside Out 3 is gonna go crazy... Riley's emotions for puberty were only the beginning.
16:30 something very interesting. Something common for people with autism (not all obviously) is that they do not swing their arms when they walk. It’s just not their natural walking position. it’s actually considered normal & natural swing arms so don’t worry about it. I’ve always had the opposite. I’m like “why aren’t my arms swinging” my arms never looks natural to me and I look so awkward.

Not if you're neurodivergent.
@@KarmaLostAnArmI've had them. They're disproportionate to the perceived danger.
@@LuckyPigeon1111 oh right, that's interesting

Spanish as a language is really good In communicating emotions very powerfully compared to other languages.

16:56 It's the TripleDent Gum Song.
Joy, in the first movie: I just wanted Joy to be happy
Anxiety, in this movie: I was just trying to protect her.
This has nothing to do with the movie, but I love your new haircut
I still think the first is better, but this one is definitely good too
Disagree, this one is better for me... respect your opinion tho
To answer your question....YES, this if by far their best sequel
