Live performance is about feeling the audience and changing it up if the audience wasn't responding to it. I feel that he stuck to the script when it was clear the audience wasn't responding to the other subject. Bruno was right, the timing was off. His jokes were flying at 100 miles/hr.
Well done Kevin! Don't worry mate, that's the way it goes sometimes- be proud. Your audition was outstanding! It takes a lot of guts to go up on that stage and do comedy
His audition was successful because he started off by taking the mick out of himself, which warmed up the audience and got them laughing at him. Once you've got the audience laughing at yourself, you can then start to take the mick out of them and they will continue laughing at themselves. This time though he just walked onto the stage and immediately started making fun of Britain's regional accents with no warm up. I wouldn't say the audience were offended but they just weren't primed to laugh along with it this time.
@mrj4615 I think you are absolutely correct about his connection to the audience in the audition being through starting off making fun of himself. He neglected to warm the audience up this time and he also was speeding through his act very quickly. Bruno was right about that part. It's too bad, but he is good at impressions and he definitely needs to hang in there and keep working on his act.
Part of any time for any audition act when judges don't like it, the audience reacts against them...even knowing viewers agree with the judges lol it's how it goes
I’d say roughly 50% -90% of comedy involves insults, whether of certain stereotypes, regions, jobs, or quite often the audience viewing the performance. If you are easily insulted, steer clear of comedians! x
OP is right though. You can be incredibly insulting and as long as it's funny nobody cares. If it's not funny then it's just plain insults and people get offended. His audition was absolute gold and this was truly terrible.
The judges comments were spot on. The fact that we know he has potential because of his audition makes this painful to watch. I agree with Amanda, she phrased it well; Kevin, if you're reading this DON'T GIVE UP you really do have a spark somewhere you just has to relight it like the fire in your 1st audition 🔥
It was the nervous delivery and him racing through the routine. He’s done this routine before in the past (the non PG version) and it’s landed really well, shows that delivery and timing is everything. I think he’ll be okay though, I think he can make it even after this
He definitely has top comedian potential, but then if you go to his UA-cam (funny as they are) 90% of his videos are focussed on accents... so he needs wider material that's framed around accents as well :)
Loved his first audition this one did feel a bit off but he tried his best I felt like he was rushing it and Bruno was right he wasn’t giving enough time for delivery to land I feel like he was nervous and just rushed it such a shame but well done Kev x
His first audition was really funny. I agree with Bruno this one had too many accents without any pauses in between. He was racing through, which made it feel manic. He is very talented and funny, One off routine doesn't change that. 3 judges gave kind constructive comments. Simon, of course, has to be classless/rude with the buzzer.
Simon knows better than anyone. He buzzed to add drama/entertainment. The act was that bad he knew the audience was zoning out and people at home were switching off so he had to do just about the only thing he could do.
I thought the pingu/scouse skit was really funny and I think he would have been better if he stuck with one accent and moved onto something different. I really feel for him and hope he isn’t discouraged. Simon seemed to be going a bit soft up until this point and I don’t think this performance warranted such a harsh critique. It’s been the strongest year in terms of actual talent that there’s been in ages, so it was going to be tough for a stand up comedian to stand out amongst some of the other acts, even if he nailed it! If you read this Kevin, you have so much potential and seem like a genuinely great guy. Don’t give up and keep practicing! I imagine you have a lot more in your arsenal than accents so take some risks and try something different! Wishing you the best!
He didn’t get off to a great start, maybe nerves got the better of him but his accents were good and and that scouse bit, now that was funny! When he said to Simon “your lookin dead sexy there lad, proper boss in ya little uniform” that has got to be the best thing anyone’s ever said to Simon!! He’s got scouse down to a tee, especially words / phrases, absolutely boss!! x
He knew once he finally finished he messed up & wanted the ground to swallow him up! He couldn't hide the look on his face. It was rushed & couldn't adjust when his jokes didn't land. Shame because his audition was actually good but he didn't change it up as his performance was the same, all about accents.
This was word for word one of his existing comedy club routines but yeah, boring and repetitive. A one trick pony and if that joke falls flat there was no rescuing it.
I didn’t find him funny but I do love him on tiktok. I do find it really unfair when they buzz on the live shows. He did well to keep going, u can tell he was knocked. Hope he isn’t too hard on himself after tonight
He was better in the audition but I made me sad when his eyes was tearing up it wasn't the best but I don't think he deserved the buzzer from Simon ❤ edit: thanks for the likes I means so much
What I found funny is that most of the time Canadian's will go out of their way to inform anyone who will listen, that they aren't American. 😂 I want to inform everyone, too. We have no claim on this dude. 🤣🤣🤣
I know they say that the truth hurts sometimes, but if Simon had an issue with the audition going on forever, then he should`ve brought it up there! Kevin got set up.
He didn't mean the first audition. I think he meant this performance...because the first audition was great...this performance DID feel like it was going on forever and wasn't great unfortunately. It's all about the pacing. I don't know why Simon said the word "audition" but I'm pretty sure he meant just this performance. Which he did bring it up at.
That was a bad performance. He rushed through his set and so the timing was all off. Don't think I heard the audience laugh once. Fair play to Kevin for giving it a go - stand-up comedy is soooo hard.
His first audition was brilliant. This felt very rushed and he had not rehearsed the set for the right timing. It was like he tried to cram 6 minutes worth of material into 4. I would go see him live!
His audition was amazing, but he had a little trouble with timing today, he needs wider material and a better audience Did not deserve the buzzer though
He is breathless too much excited as if struggling. I don't like it when comedians try very hard and get exhausted to make people laugh. If you have it you have it funny bones no need to try through constipation
i didnt rlly find him funny i found it more cringe, like yk when ppl are trying to be funny but theyre actually not and it feels really awkward, thats how i felt. But yk, not everyone's gonna have the same opinion as me some ppl will love him so i dont think he should give up
It was good, but sadly that compares to his initial audition, which was great. Part of the problem is that while we were pleasantly surprised with his first audition, here was just more of the same, no surprises. I would have loved to hear him try some different material, he has wonderful delivery and stage presence.
The act wasn't that great but fair play to him on the accents, they were pretty good. Certainly not the worst attempt at Scouse I've heard, decent compared to most.
I think it was best when we had opportunity knocks, Hughie green with the clapometter, at least it was straight to the point, instead of listening to so called judges beating round the bush, talking total bullocks ,it’s a sad world we are in at present , specially when the public calls the shots, and biggest laugh , the vote line, 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

i don't think that's what they do on AGT though
Well done Kevin! Don't worry mate, that's the way it goes sometimes- be proud. Your audition was outstanding! It takes a lot of guts to go up on that stage and do comedy
😮💨i was out of breath just listening!😮💨🤣🤣
Know what the judges mean.

And cause southerners enjoy making fun of northern people
Had nothing to do with that. His first audition was good and tonight he was crap End off

The crowd booing the judges for giving honest constructive criticism is so annoying
I agree idk what is going on in their brains 😒
fr, audience is always glazing blindly

it's how it goes
What's your name?
Him: Right! 💀
I was really looking forward to this performance but nothing landed and just managed to insult various regions. Such a shame!
If you're offended by that you're a snowflake
I’d say roughly 50% -90% of comedy involves insults, whether of certain stereotypes, regions, jobs, or quite often the audience viewing the performance. If you are easily insulted, steer clear of comedians! x
@@FionaPerrinBut this just wasn't funny...
What’s actually a shame is how people got overly sensitive on a comic act.

I had to walk out the room and pretend I needed the toilet, so awkward. Could tell after 10 seconds he was going to have a stinka. RIGHT??
Nahhh fr why’s it gotta be so awkward when a comedian isn’t funny omg 😭😭
Same I had to cover my ears half the time when no one laughed
It is like he is giving a presentation on different accents of the UK
The epitome of dying on stage 😂
Met Kevin backstage and he’s the loveliest guy 🥰 Love him

I'll do 1 push up for all the times he said " Right?"
[[Edit: I also did 1 push up for all the likes🤭😜... Thanks ]]
You'll be a body builder by the end, right
He said right 27 times
Haha loved that you counted it. Right?
Amanda wasn't right with this one right

His accents we're spot on. He definitely has potential. I feel like he's trying to hard to be funny when he doesn't need to.
Yeah it felt really forced

I've watched him when he can be uncensored and his material is 10x better
This was terrible and unfunny. Rushed and was nervous. His audition was quality and hilarious.
He was also taking the mick out of the variety of accents in the uk. Disgusting
I thought the pingu/scouse skit was really funny and I think he would have been better if he stuck with one accent and moved onto something different. 'right' definitely a nervous tick

Great accents but almost like he didn't really have a routine planned. He's already done the whole "I can't believe there's so many accents in the uk"
This was word for word one of his existing comedy club routines but yeah, boring and repetitive. A one trick pony and if that joke falls flat there was no rescuing it.
I think he didn’t pick the audience - BGT is not the forum for stag do humour
I didn’t find him funny but I do love him on tiktok. I do find it really unfair when they buzz on the live shows. He did well to keep going, u can tell he was knocked. Hope he isn’t too hard on himself after tonight
Right? It’s so rude to do for semifinals
I agree with Simon for once
... Not about him being better than that though
I like how he entered😂
He was better in the audition but this seemed a bit manic ..felt sorry for him he looked so disappointed
He was better in the audition but I made me sad when his eyes was tearing up it wasn't the best but I don't think he deserved the buzzer from Simon ❤ edit: thanks for the likes I means so much
Neither did the first act ,
Yes I know
Oh he deserved the buzzer
Do you think I don't know it wa quite good but I appreciate your opinion
He was definitely told to lean into the accent bit.
I love him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Right ? Right ?
Wasn't this the same premises for his first audition?

Bruno is absolutely right 100%
Tbh this is the response most modern comics deserve. The lack of warm up acts and alcohol expose the fact theyre just not funny.
Omg that had me in stitches. Was crying with laughter and couldn't stop!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Good attitude "well I had fun" , if you can take criticism you're halfway there
Does he know penguins live in the Antarctic not the Arctic? This was possibly the worst comedy routine I've seen in my life
Love it 😀 😊
That was a bad performance. He rushed through his set and so the timing was all off. Don't think I heard the audience laugh once. Fair play to Kevin for giving it a go - stand-up comedy is soooo hard.
He did similar stuff that he did in the first audition, can't do that. I agree with the judges here, he is a funny guy but this wasn't great.
You'd need to be really drunk to find this observational humour funny.
Bruno dancing at the end was more funny 😂😂😂
His first audition was brilliant. This felt very rushed and he had not rehearsed the set for the right timing. It was like he tried to cram 6 minutes worth of material into 4. I would go see him live!
He’s brilliant at accents
The first part was bad, but soon as he did the northern accents and PINGU, it was more relatable and I found it amusing.
It was sooooo bad that it actually came across quite offensive at times.
Everybody was offended 😂😂
the thing is he did this last time
I agree with Simon...he's better than that!

funny audition but died on stage here
My gosh ... simon brutal lol
He took the mick out of everyones accent and you all got rattled 😂😂😂

Cringing for him, awkward 🙈

I only (slightly fake) laughed at the pingu joke
There's only one Comedian that's funny that's Peter Kay.. This guy has no chance of winning...
