Oh the baby shoes! Those are very old shoes from the 1900's. I can't believe you found so many. They're so precious & I love them all.
I especially like the rustic bells on rustic shoes. I was born in 1950 and we wore bells tied to our laces so parents would know where we were.
Love the look of leather and lace. I'm 70 years old, and my sisters and I always wore lace trimmed socks.
The baby shoe tugs at my heart.

Of vintage baby shoes and socks a several years ago made little shoes with trees in them and made a wreath frome them thought it would be great for a baby shower or nursery, and I made snow babies by making stuffed snowman heads in the mouth of shoes and socks with a ribbon attached to hang as orname t

Your first project, the tiny shoe with the hole in the toe, would be cute with a tiny "Christmas mouse" holding a red berry, or something similar, would tie together the hole with a reason for the hole.....because it is the entrance to the mouse's home! For some reason, as soon as you said the shoe had a hole in it, I thought, "Christmas mouse"!

You have no idea how these warmed my ❤. My grandfather was born with a clubbed foot and some slight dwarfism. He had polio as a child which further stunted his growth. He learned how to make his own shoes because they were so expensive and later became a shoemaker by trade. I grew up in his shoe shop and have quite a few of his tools of the trade. He also made handcrafted leather items that were beautiful. I never understood how he could make such detailed work when his hands were so stubby and crippled up. Standing as straight as he could, he never stood taller than about 4 1/2 feet. But he was amazing at his craft. I still have the leather shoes he helped my mother make for her doll. I love incorporating his things in my Christmas decor. They sit out year round but I love sprucing them up for Christmas ❤ And you would be surprised at how old the child would have been who wore the youth sized shoe.

Those shoes were gorgeous! I liked them all, but my favorite one was the big one. There was something about the doily placement and that Santa "Portrait" that just got to me. I dont know how you come up with so many good ideas!!

I really love antique children’s shoes. For years I had a set of antique moccasins, I displayed in my living room. They were lovingly handmade and beaded by an American Indian mother I’m sure, I just loved them! Unfortunately, when I downsized, they were lost. Enjoyed what you did with your shoes, I’m sure they will be a quick sell!
