1 question if the kurta clan has it in there gens to have the scarlet eyes could it be that they age different like they have 200 years to live
The funny thing about Emperor Time’s is that, assuming that the scarlet eyes comes from a race from the Dark Continent, the penalty is almost completely nullified with the existence of things like Nitro Rice.

I was also wondering about your thoughts on gyro and gon's eventual showdown. It's just such a weirdly interesting thing to have this dude (who's basically pure evil for all I know) to be turned into a chimera ant and keep his sense of self. And now he's just out there, doing something, no one knows what, no one knows where yet it's just so captivating to me. Honestly just can't wait for the big showdown, who knows when it will happen tho. Maybe even this arc? 👀👀.

I agree that specialist are an anomaly in the graph, but If i recall correctly, there's a reason why specialist are put closer to conjurer and manipulation, It's probably because you have a higher chance to become a specialist if you are a conjurer/manipulator
That be make sense in a way that manipulator and conjurer are the typeof power that plays with weird metaphysics/concepts more, hence the probability of becoming a specialist is closer
(But doesnt mean that an enhancer cannot be a specialist, and that's why it's an anomaly, but if it's 100% purely an anomaly, the graph would be make more sense if togashi put specialist outside of the diagram, with no connection to the circle)
You are remembering correctly. We see a flashback during the Uvogin fight where the guy teaching Kurapika about Nen explains that particular detail. It's also where we get the explanation for most of what's in this video.

To this day i assumed these scarlet eyes were a mistery if not a plot device to make Kurapika stronger when compared to actual prodigies like gon and killua
Kurapika is more of a nen prodigy than Gon and Killua are.

The scarlet eyes don’t actually effect his specialist ability he learned that himself, he just set his scarlet eyes as the condition to activate Emperor Time it would still work if he didn’t have them
A small correction for a bit of your wording. Emperor time is not the scarlet eyes and vice versa. Emperor Time is a hatsu ability that is only usable when he has the scarlet eyes active. It's a specialist ability and no matter where you are on that nen graph unless youre a specialist you wont be able to use specialist abilities. Thats where the scarlet eyes come in. The scarlet eyes make kurapika a specialist enabling him to use specialist abilities. So while the scarlet eyes do lead to emperor time, the scarlet eyes are not emperor time.
So, is that mean kurapika has 6 hatsu abilities (including Emperor time and 5 chain on his 5 fingers)? And to use Emperor time, Judgment chain and steal chain (the dolphin), kurapika has to use Scarlet eyes?

I think a good dnd analogy would be that a wizard multiclassing into warlock can cast an eldritch blast but since a warlock uses charisma for spell while a wizard doesn't, the wizard can cast eldritch blast but it won't be as good as a warlock's eldritch blast

From what I'm seeing online and understanding from this video is that being a specialist(Red eyes only Kurapika) only gives you access to 100% efficiency or power in all catagories but not both and Emperor Time gives Kurapika that last 100% as well for the price of an hour of his lifespan every second. That's what Im getting at least

So funny thing if yall do the nen ability Tornament, the one I came up with just happened in the manga. Its dealing with Contracts and it's not 1to1 of what I had in mind but it's like 99.99% of the way there
I was under the impression that when his eyes turn scarlet, it means he becomes a specialist which allows him to activate emperor time, which is a specialist ability. The emperor time ability then allows him to access all categories of nen 100% efficiency. So isnt it the scarlet eyes that turn him into a specialist , not the activation of emperor time?

Kurapika uses a post mortem nen technique WHILST using scarlet eyes to use WPECIALIST post morten nen and - either come back as a set specialist aka they scarlet eyes are base now and he doesn't have to activate it nor can it kill him aka no cost because he already DIED
Or He can kill himself briefly and q reset the counter or 2 eliminate the cost again

Kurapika’s teacher said specialist either have to be born or be a rare instance where someone becomes one later in life and his teacher said he’s only heard of this happening to Manipulators and Conjurers (the ones touching on the nen chart)
We also know that people can “lean” towards an affinity that isn’t there natural one, it doesn’t make them more efficient in that type but it lets them learn it easier. Through this chart we found out Kurapika is between Conjuration and Specialization so Kurapika is one of the rare few who became a specialist later in life through Emperor Time. His eyes don’t actually affect or benefit the ability it’s just cosmetic and symbolic for his people’s eyes to be his strongest ability. The ability was all him and his growth into a specialist
Can't get much of a stronger restriction then your life I think what 2 years have past in the series since the start? he prob lost like 8-10 years total or so using Emperor time I don't think it THAT bad of a cost if you not planning on living a full life like Kurapika what is 10 years for such crazy power to have your revenge
It'd be cool to have a nen power akin to the yugioh dual disk and deck where you just summon nen monsters or beasts if you will.. Not super sure what nen catagory that would fall under. Maybe have a restriction where you dont know what you draw even utilize post mortem nen using a revive card

Honestly, I don't get why Emission is the furthest from Conjuration. If you're conjuring something, then you'll have to split aura from your body. So every conjurer HAS to tap into emission. And yet they're opposites in the Nen ring.
well not really, conjuration is more about physically manifesting an object to be used out of nen which requires you to have a full understanding of how an object works to make it happen ( I swear to god i remember Kurapika’s teacher explaining this), while emission is just an extension of just manipulating your aura to move from one place to another with a consistent output like a Kamehameha wave or a spirit gun. It makes sense to me that they’re different .
They don't need to *actively* split the aura from their body. Take Kortopi for example, his conjured copies are created in physical contact with his body with aura that is connected to him. Once they are conjured that's it, the process is done and the conjured item (being a physical object) requires no aura investment on the Nen user's part to move it away from themself. Even maintaining the object does not necessitate adding additional aura remotely since you can imbue it with all the aura it needs from the start, refuel it while making physical contact, or you could always just make a new one. It definitely isn't an ideal situation if you do want to interact with conjured objects from a distance but that's nothing training, vows, and restrictions can't solve.

@@caliqm2199Conjured abilities are real objects made with nen so by technicality they don’t separate any aura from the body on their own. So a pure conjurer like Kite or something needs 0 emission to make his crazy slots cause it’s not aura it’s just an actual magic object
@Natherma985 The conjured objects ARE made of aura. Take for example Kurapika's chains. If they weren't made of aura, then he couldn't use In to hide them. There's also Kortopi's conjured objects. If they weren't made of aura, then they wouldn't function as En.

Dual affinity does not give you two nen types. A dual affinity tells you that a character learns one nen type as easily as their actual nen type. Their aura efficiency is not changed, Kurapika makes this explicit in chapter 108. Kurapika states again and again that his nen type *changes* to specialist, and his two differing water divination test results only confirmed that. So Kurapika is a conjuror with a dual affinity for specialization, whose nen type changes to specialization when his eyes turn scarlet.
Scarlet eyes also grant spiked aura output and physical strength, you should read volume 0.
Bisky is also a full transmuter. Check the chart again.

@@Mikechain97They aren't, Chrollo is a full, natural Specialist, his ability just uses Conjuration because he's 80% effective in it along with everything else, Kurapika is a natural born conjurer who is able to temporarily become a specialist through his ability Emporer time, so if anything they're like opposites lol
