Donna Thank you very much💗
It's my year,I am a wood dragon, that's my chinese sign
I'll be 93yrs in 20 years time. I've started meeting new spiritual soul tribes online and new friends,
Are the western zodiac signs & Chinese animals correspondence that Donna mentioned based on actual historical correspondence?
Lol. I would have eaten the marshmallow, only needing one. Thank you, Donna. We must have a Universal Basic Income and EVERYONE needs to have safe housing. I too have been studying Chinese astrology (and Western) for a long time. I carry a symbol of my "secret friend" (I see this as a helper) on my key chain. Another example: I had a boss who was the sign of my secret friend, we got along very well and some wonderful opportunities were offered to me by this friend. It is even more helpful if you combine this with Feng Shui.
❤❤❤
21:52 wanting to be entertained, she has a feeling that the media will definitely entertain us! 🤣😂
That wasn't a mystery word for metal Rabbit...it was '"ILL", in FLUX. The challenging star for Rabbit this year is the "sick" star. I would think you might know this.
I prefer western astrology to vedic or chinese astrology because it is more positive in both tone and delivery.
Classic western astrology can be quite dark... youtube channels otoh rely on views and thumbs up to earn money, so it's all rainbows and roses to attract a naive audience.
Depends on the astrologer . I’ve had positive experiences with Chinese astrology readings that aren’t doom /gloom /fear
Wood Dragon here (1964) and just turned 60 yrs. A good friend of mine is going to have a baby boy in Wood Dragon year. I feel like I already have a connection, like an aunty. He’s already got a knitted dragon hood from from me, and probably one of my dragon talismans. Any other Wood Dragons out there?
Thank you for sharing and congratulations to your friend :)
That was very liberal application to integrate Chinese with Western Astrology. Initially Chinese zodiac which may have a pagan origin, had nothing to do with Chinese astrology. Later the animals were somehow matched to the 12 earthly branches of Chinese astrology.
10 heavenly stems and 12 earthly branches were used to record the time (just as western astrology in its beginning). The birth time is presented in Chinese BaZi or four pillars of destiny which is similar to a natal chart. Each pillar consists of one heavenly stem & one earthly branch, one for the year, one for the month, one for the day and one for the time. The year of the Dragon matches only the earthly branch of the year pillar - one out of "eight words" (4 heavenly steams + 4 earthly branches) which is what BaZi means.
The intricacies and interactions of BaZi are complicated just as planets in a natal chart (e.g. earthly branch may hide the nature or characteristics of multiple heavenly stems). On top of that, there are two more important pillars: one for the cycle (which changes every ten years and is individual-specific) and one for the current year. Hence, if you were born in the year of Dragon, it does not necessarily mean that you will be lucky during the Dragon year. In fact, most Chinese are pretty superstitious and cautious, and wear something red especially during their years.
The earthly stem matching the dragon actually has the presence of the element earth (out of the five elements), but within it hides the elements of Wood, Earth and Water. It is considered to be the reservoir of water.
Love this
Am currently studying a lot of chinese astrology because I'm going to write my bachelor's thesis about it and I was thinking just that. What she is doing seems similar to making a yearly forecast for each sun sign, which is interesting, but like sun sign astrology sacrifices nuances when one does transits for only one person. Also not sure if it makes sense to equate the wester zodiac and chinese zodiac based on them having similar characteristics.
that's awesome you're writing a thesis on it! What texts are you referring to? I am currently reading huang di nei jing which has some mention of it. (studying TCM right now) @@vanjagray191
@@vanjagray191 Chinese zodiac is not Chinese astrology. Chinese astrology is actually a system based on the heavenly stems and earthly branches as you studied. The forecast in Chinese astrology (for an individual or a group of individuals) is not based on the earthly branch of the year pillar (as for the Chinese zodiac), rather based on the heavenly stem of the day pillar - which represents the individual.
For example, Chinese astrologists would not make forecast for people born in the year of Dragon. They would make forecast for each heavenly stem that is the Day stem of the individual. 10 heavenly stems are of 5 elements and each element has Yang and Yin stems.
Chinese astrologists would make general prediction depending on the interaction between this heavenly stem and the pillar representing the current year, and/or the pillar representing the current month. In any case, there is too much a gap between Chinese and Western astrology.
@@timeglass777 I know what she is doing in the video isn't actually used. What I was trying to say is that what she is doing is similar to making a forecast for a sun sign in so far that it is sacrificing nuance for commonality, like sun sign horoscopes applying to all people born in the same month, but leaving out other parts of the chart that would make for a more personalized forecast, just like she uses the year pillar, but not the day or month pillar. But I guess it's a little more like making a forecast for all people with the same Jupiter sign, since the earthly branches are based off of Jupiter's cycle, so it's even less personal than a sun sign horoscope.
No to AI art.
