@Aveteran Player Hi! Sadly they are only available on PC. There is a mod that unlocks game files for the editor but sadly they'd disappear if you ported the map to consoles.
This made me and my computer cry. I was ready to do another Journey map until “GET TO THE EXIT” turned into “Continue the Campaign.”. I thought it always did that and I was just not paying attention, until I arrived at the truck and it said “Get in. I’ll drive.”. It was then I stuck around to see the rest of it and boi oh BOI was I in love. From the subtle world storytelling when you first walk out the door (the symbol) to the huge arena you fight in, this is by far one of THEE best Arcade maps. Kudos.
Amazing job man, thanx for the video so we can see the full map, even tho its 720p i know all the objects in the editor and its really interesting seeing how you put all this together. I love when maps are so detailed it looks like another game entirely. HEY I HAVE A QUESTION!!! I have been struggling horribly to find out how to MOD the npc or characters.... if i can find out how to mod or even change characters it would help alot, do you have any guidance on how this is done? I work with blendr and daz so i understand file types and modeling things...ext
Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Modding the NPCs is mostly done through Steve64b's mod if you're on PC - you can get it through nexusmods. It adds a category of custom NPCs under the AI tab whose looks as well as parameters (health, voicelines and many more) can be customised. You cannot spawn them through scripting however, so you need to get creative with some workarounds :) Also: thanks a lot for the nice words! Much appreciated!
hey man, love your map, how did you get the jet engine sound (vietnam dlc airstrike) sound, I installed Steve 64b's mod and I can't find it anywhere, also if i download your map my game crashes
Thanks! Thet jet engine sound is not a custom soundpoint but a custom music track, for some reason. You can find it through the "change music theme"-script. No idea why the map crashes, sorry to hear!
Hello SanktPerkele, please could you answer me is it possible to import custom building into Far Cry 5 and play it normally? I mean create correct working doors, ledders, windows glass, new lights?
Hi! No, unfortunately not - the Far Cry editor doesnt allow the import of any models. Everything you build needs to be built in the Arcade editor with the existiing assets. It's quite intuitive to recreate something there however.
@@SanktPerkele thank you for your response. Do you mean that I can build any geometry myself? And apply in-game materials to it? Okay, I understand now, that I can use only simple geometries such as cubes or walls or beams and create everything by combining them. But what about scaling these standart object? Is it possible to scale sizes of in-game objects, and modify texture size, too?
The soldiers are from DLC but usually not accessible in the editor. If you are on PC, you can install Steve's mod which allows you to access most gamefiles. The German soldiers were also created through that mod!
Always loved the little mods u could do on pc. Like having objectives and stuff.. even some interactive keys qnd objects not available on the consoles... sucks bit hey fc5 was a whole missed potential tbh..
Fully agreed. The mod if how the editor should've been released on all platforms. I was hoping for the next one to have all those cool tools, but after FC6 dropped the editor entirely, I am not sure whether we'll ever get another version of it.
Fuck. I came here to see what assets were used for walls, ceilings, etc but I use the console version. Fuck me I guess I'll just work my way around within the limitations 😅
@@tylerdarroch5512 All the assets used (not counting the animated soldiers) are actually from the main game, so you could replicate it on console! The ceilings and floors for the final part of the map are all composed of generic shapes :)
@@SanktPerkele I've made pretty good maps with no interior without the use of generic shapes and even that was a pain. Now that I know I can change the textures everything will be so much easier. Thank you for letting me know I now feel far less limited. So many pain in the ass moments of me using watchdogs buildings as walls cause the other walls looked terrible 😂
@@tylerdarroch5512 Haha, I know the struggle! Took me a while to figure out which objects are actually usable. The generic shapes are quite nice since they offer a selection of different textures (some better, some worse). Combining them with some stain decals or the "wall hospital" assets (if you clip them together the stains shine through on your generic objects) can break up the monotony of the textures if you're going for a more rundown look (I used this trick for most of the destroyed building interiors). Hope that helps :)
Yes, I used a mod that allows customizing enemies, removes the object limit and adds some other additional objects (animated humans, more map objectives and more sounds). It's basically only unlocking things that are already in the game files however!
It's a mix of various assets from the main game. The grey-ish clothes are from the vietnam DLC (as well as the armbands), the hats, boots and belts are from the main game. The helmets are from one of the Ubisoft crossover suits, forgot which one.
Just curious, was this map inspired by the Call of Duty WW2 Aachen map? I was wondering because the thumbnail reminded me of that map. Great work either way!
It wasn't at first when I started building it (I lived in Aachen for a while, so it was supposed to be more of a hommage) but while researching good reference material I found the CoD map and took a lot of inspiration from it :)
@SunzenkaiGamecast Everything is constructed in the editor, but they aren't pre-fabs - for most of the buildings I combined lots of different assets to basically build them from scratch!
@SunzenkaiGamecast If you are on PC, you can download my map and check yourself :) Otherwise: - the brick parts are mostly from the "Temple Ruins" collection from Hours of Darkness, some broken parts are from "ancestral temple" - the windows mostly use "window extension 02" from Black Flag or "Window Bar Rustic" if translucent - the "Wall Hospital" is often used (mostly as the pillar variant) - a lot of the roofs are made by placing buildings from Assassins Creed Unity behind the custom facades - facade details are made by a variety of different tombs, graves and concrete assets - "County Jail Parapet" is often used as a horizontal divider

That's the way the mission in World War 2 Cod in Aachen should look like
I thought I was watching a BFV video, very well done.
You did a fantastic job on this map. It makes me want to post some of my creations and keep this small community alive
