I had a look at one the other day at the dealership, I'm five foot 11 and it was a great fit and not too small. I love the sound of the bike too it sounds great and it feels very comfortable. I have been told it is a perfect first bike. Great review.
I have a 2013 Yamaha V-Star 1300. These bikes are so nice. Whatever you do, don't get aftermarket pipes if you value your hearing. I ended up putting my stock exhaust back on.
guns_motorcycles_and_games Friend of mine did same thing with a V-star 950. Got some Vance n Hines pipes, had them on for a day and took them off, said they were insanely loud. He's back at stock
im 6 1 probably weight 155 or 160 and I'm comfortable on it. I like it a lot it's my first bike. with no wind I was able do go 80 on highway but I was pushing the RPM high I could tell. but it's a good learning bike and lots of fun. will definitely boost your confidence as you gain more skill and it looks really nice.
+Blake Betti Yes. Nice affordable price as well. For beginners it is recommended for someone to not go over 600cc. If you are a heavier built person, go ahead and go above that.
Once again, a Virago 250 is called a VStar 250. XV250 is a Virago, XVS250 is a VStar. They are similar but not the same. The VStar is a more stylish bike which is one reason why they cost more than the Virago. A clue: check the exhaust system. On the Virago, the upper exhaust pipe is a dummy and is there purely for looks. Prove it to yourself - run the bike for 5 minutes and put your hand on the upper muffler. If it's hot, it's a VStar250. Look under the chassis just in front of the rear wheel. See that black box? That's the muffler used in the Virago. The VStar does not use this shared muffler because each pipe has it's own separate muffler.
***** I like the Yamaha better. I think it has better styling. They both have been around forever, and are practically bullet-proof engines. Both are amazing, just comes down to what brand you like more, which in my case is Yamaha.
***** the best way to find out is to test ride both. Personally I've only ridden the yamaha and for anything longer than 2 hours it becomes very uncomfortable. And as far as highways go, the 250 is a bit small it'll probably be screaming at highway speeds.

Linda moto, pena não termos a produção no mercado nacional.
My dream Bike
What might I have to buy to make it fit? And is it the one that cost 22$
What are the oval-shaped chrome things on both sides, just below the front of the gas tank cover?
Air filter
I'm 5, 6 would this bike be too big for me?
Which one has better Re-Sale value: Honda Rebel 250 or Yamaha VStar 250 ?
S Sr They are both roughly the same and will always be in demand. Used 250's all hold their value extremely well. I would not worry about that.
this seems to be a small bike, I'm 5 10, would this be too small for me? I'm just looking for a nice affordable beginner bike.
would fit you like a glove

danny55531 Yes you can just need the proper installation!
Is this a good bike for a beginner? I just got my license and I am looking for a bike

Vstar top muffler is a fake. The headers don't connect to the engine only the bottom.
You have that backwards. The XV250 (Virago) has the fake muffler.
Both hava muffler shared.
Is it good for the highway and is it better then the Honda rebel 250 pls give me a honest a pinnion
"Opinion " sorry

***** It can cruise on the highway at a pretty stable speed. Roads are quick here in California too.
Mcsikos90 ok but is it better then rebel 250 pls give me a honest opinion

That engine. Has a strange noise, have you checked your valves recently?
It is completely normal and standard....
+Boris Graell come on down.... :)
I hear it too... I just got one and it doesn't sound like this as it idles. Might just be because mine is brand new though...
+Jill Milnes filmed with iPhone 4 non-S
V twin baby!

cool! i like it
Great learner bike.
YAMAHA V STAR NOW IN BRAZIL
Whats the top speed on this bike?
Yeshua X 90 mph i have one
Anything over 80 is unnecessary unless you are visiting a race track.
guns_motorcycles_and_games Or unless the traffic is all moving over 80mph. I've been in that situation. It wasn't fun.
