1v1 Bass Tournament - Badin Lake, NC - July, 2022

- Another 1 v 1 tournament on Badin Lake this time - we fished on 7/31/22. The morning bite was pretty good, but then the sun came out and the wind picked up and it got really tough. I ended up with 4 keepers for just over 11 lbs. 2 of them were over 4lbs each. Didn't finish in the top 3, but had a blast.
I’m fishing in a kayak tournament there in a couple of weeks. I’ve never been there. Thinking about launching from Whip-O-Will ramp area. Is that a good area? Any tips on baits or techniques?
Usually Badin is all about the grass. But approaching fall they’ll be chasing bait more so it could be tougher to find them. I’d throw some moving baits to start out and cover some water!
@@Everydayfishing If you had a choice to fish Badin, Tuckertown or Tillery.. and with a kayak tournament we go by length, which one would you fish?
@@dwightstephenson_fishing5150 I would definitely choose Badin... I hate the snot grass on Tuckertown. I've only fished it twice and caught 1 fish between the 2 trips. Tillery is fine, but not as many big fish as Badin.

@@dwightstephenson_fishing5150 There aren't a ton of launch options at Badin, but I'd go to the main one by the Alcoa plant. There is a lot of good grass on both sides heading up the lake from there.
