yet ''gnan'' is a mispronounciation of ''Jñān''. Most iIndian languages today can't propnounce ''ñ'', so it turned into gyan, gnan, gan.... all kinds of versions, depending on language. except ancient Pali where J is dropped so it souded ''ñān''.
