This is THE reason why QUEEN SOYEON is one of my ults in Kpop!!! and I don't even stan Gidle (I'm a Forever/Mia stan) She's an phenomenal rapper! Best 4th gen rapper and one of the best in the Kpop history! A great dancer! It's still a mystery for me how she's not a lead dancer in Gidle! A great vocalist (it surprised me the most here!). Could easily be a lead vocalist in any other group and in Gidle too! Her stage presence and facial expressions are amazing!! An amazing songwriter and producer. A genius for that! Not just knevies. The korean GP as a whole! You need unique listeners to hit #1 on the Melon Top 100, so it’s not just nevies streaming but non-fans as well!! That’s what makes girl groups powerful. They tend to have more public recognition than boy groups. And if you have both public recognition AND a solid fanbase as GIDLE does, you can keep rising and experience great longevity.

A lot of music works both groups and individuals are not known by many people due to poor promotion...Miyeon's solo "DRIVE" success is a good example of the promotion results that have improved recently after the group was more recognized thanks to "Tomboy"

what do you expect with cube? it's not them who put a lot of effort for the group's success but the credits should be mostly to soyeon and all the producing staff who put a lot of efforts and the choreographers and also to all the members of the group who always gives their best every comeback... (g)i-dle is the 4th gen group who improves every comeback although most 4th gen groups also improve but not that often as i-dle do.... i think i-dle can be like the bts of cube ent. but it's just that cube does not take the opportunity of them being bigger than they are now... they create great music but the company doesnt promote them well... honestly tomboy promotion for me is quite short and i didn't get to see the girls in some variety shows like weekly idol or after school club... i've just noticed something common about the 4th gen leader groups straykids, i-dle and the boyz... each group mentioned lost 1 member each but it didn't make the group weak but rather makes them even stronger...
yeah but keep in mind that they were through huge controversy and over 1 year hiatus. this comeback was a hit or miss to them. i don't even want to think what cube would do with them if they would flop...

Not just knevies. The korean GP as a whole! You need unique listeners to hit #1 on the Melon Top 100, so it’s not just nevies streaming but non-fans as well!! That’s what makes girl groups powerful. They tend to have more public recognition than boy groups. And if you have both public recognition AND a solid fanbase as GIDLE does, you can keep rising and experience great longevity.
