I GOT to copy that method. Never imagined movement in timelaps videos would make for such an incredible effect. The best I've seen in a long time. I take my hat off to you, sir!
I'm a big fan of Time Lapse films and I have just watched the opening sequence to Netflix's new 'House of Card' series. They did an excellent Kinetic Time Lapse for it, but ...this one beats it hands down! Edinburgh looks amazing in it too! Awesome!
Edinburgh looks great in all weathers at any time of year. It has its own unique geography and can look totally different depending in which area you are in or which hill you are on.
salhabfilms.............. That is the best video I have ever seen of our great city, a tremendous piece of work......... Fancy filming a gig of mine sometime ;-)............... This is better than anything that the Scottish Tourist Board could ever come up with. Very well done mate.
Done it! Great film it is too. Any tips on how I can move the camera steadily when doing time lapse? I don't have a slider or track . just a tripod & canon 550d ! thx
Thanks Franc, I do not use a slider or tracks. I move on pre-determined route. I decide on the length of the move 1 inch 10 inches what ever dependent on the speed I want to achieve in the shot. Then I take a photo every few seconds like normal time lapse. After I use Aftereffects to stabilise. Works well for me. I am planning a video tutorial when I finished shooting Avartia. Thanks
thanks, I would love to film all over scotland such a beautiful country. The problem it is very expensive process. Edinburgh is easy for me, it is where I live. It would take days and month I can not finance it all myself.
there is lots of stuff on time lapse, but not the way I do it. it is more stop motion. the trailer for the new film coming soon i hope you will enjoy it
Thanks franc for your kind comment on Kinetic Edinburgh II, I would apreciate your opinion on the trailer of our new short film Avaritia, using the same style. it is on my channel
far out, UA-cam keeps bringing up beauties. I'll be watching all day it seems.
