I never really thought much about this my first time watching KiraKira, but now as someone who’s only recently begun to salvage my relationship with my dad, who travels a lot for work… god do I feel for Ichika
Basically, the girl with the strawberries in her hair, Ichika, is seeing her mom Satomi, who works abroad as a doctor, after quite a while apart. But her mom got an emergency call and all of a sudden has to fly out to another country super soon, which really upset Ichika but she tries to bottle it all up and put on a brave face. Her mom wanted to take the time to tell Ichika that she can see how Ichika’s been holding in her feelings for years now so nobody worries about her or is sad because of her, and she wants to let her know that it’s okay to be open about her feelings and cry.
Her mom: you look so different I hardly recognise it’s you I wished you didn’t keep Precure a secret from me Ichika: I’m really sorry we had to protect our identities Her mom: we have to let her walk in her own path she’ll regret it
母親も[いちか あんたも寂しかっただろうに]と娘の気持ちを
理解し いちかも[お母さん会いたかった!!]と大号泣!!母親は
娘に会いたいという気持ちが強かった事でしょうね この親子愛 これからも続く事でしょう!!これが親子の絆です!!
