man, i came back to this video after a few years to see this. and still hes beat the odds hes relatively healthy and kicking ass. what an absolute legend. but the end is close and the sabres are an entire new team that don't know/ care what RJ means to buffalo. gonna be a real sad day if he dies without living the day where he sees the sabres with the cup. and i cant think of anyone who deserves it more

When the game was over I fell right to sleep with my hand to my transistor radio. It was the only way my mother figured out how to make a hyper kid go to sleep. In my life, Rick Jenneret will always be the greatest announcer and broadcaster of all time.
When he finally hangs up the mike for good,the Sabres should place him up in the rafters with all our honored members The French Connection (7,11,14) Tim Horton 2 Dominik Hasek 39, Danny Gare 18 and Rick Seling 16.
Whenever the fans come back after the 2020 pandemic, I shudder to think how difficult it will be to hear RJ talk about his friend "Ducky" after they both went into the Sabres HOF together this night.
