Thank you for your helpful videos .. I need help for the best area for small families to live I’m not from UK and this is first time for me to live out of my country i will be thankful if you help me about this point.
thank you for your kind words! At Durham, families who want to live in university owned accomodation often go to Ustinov college. If you are looking for non-university owned accomodation, Gilesgate is one of the most cost-effective areas. Overall Durham is very small, so if you choose to live a little bit away from the centre, everything is still roughly a 20 minute walk away maximum :)
@@saraalhareth9952 I would email Ustinov College directly, and you could also email the main undergraduate or postgraduate admissions office (depending on what year of study you are doing) :) This Durham Uni webpage also has info about family accomodation: www.dur.ac.uk/accommodation.office/helpandadvice/families/ Hope this helps!
yes, specific colleges allow first years to be self catered, for instance Josephine Butler college. Not all of the colleges have this option though, so if you want to be self-catered I would email the University and ask for the full list of colleges that allow first years to be self catered :)

Is there an option to be self catered in first year, if so how do you request this? Thanks
