But yeah, lets bring in a washed possession receiver who has never been the same since his injury and is only relevant because of an insane catch he made a decade ago, to help bolster arguably one of the best receiving groups in the league. I was excited to see what Smith and Washington could do this year, but now they'll get reps absorbed by Odell to stop him from having a fit. But hey, who needs an Oline or a run defense when you can sign who will likely be the slowest receiver on the team with character concerns. I really hope I'm wrong and this works out, but I see this as one of the worst decisions Grier has made in years, and I don't see how the team is any better for it.
I’m pretty ambivalent on OBJ. His best years are certainly behind him. But if he’s, say, the third wide receiver for the Dolphins behind Tyreek and Waddell, OBJ could really free up those other two even more. I suppose using OBJ as a “decoy” sounds like a waste but what a decoy he could be.
Age and injuries are the age old tale. I think this team stays healthy we've got a good shot. We didn't touch a lot if any money for post June 1st, we have been getting bargain pieces that have good production. We'll see the last pieces fall in and then off to the races. I just want a good season, fair calls on the refs part, and health for all involved

Makes no difference to the Dolphins offence against teams with a good defence because they will always be limited not by what Tua can do but what he can't. This is from a Dolphins fan who thinks that Dan Marino was the most exciting QB i've ever seen in my life,he was better than Brady,Mahomes or any of them. If Marino had played under the not allowed to rough the passer rules that Brady milked for all he was worth he would have thrown for 7K yards in a season. So what can't Tua do? Hold the ball longer than 2.2 seconds or extend a play past the first read otherwise he risks death from his next concussion. That is all Tua can do,throw the ball to the spot where the first read is supposed to be and the first read is Tyreek Hill 90% of the time. Change a play at the line of scrimmage like Brady did? Forget about it,Tua is not doing that ever. Run a QB sneak or Tush Push? Forget about it,he might hurt his head. I'm so over Tua it just makes me wanna barf. The only advantge the Fins had last season in the AFC East was Tua was the third best QB in the division and the second best did his achilles a few plays into the season. Now the Dolphins have the fourth best QB in the division. Good luck with that! ☠

As a Fins fan, this is a useless signing. This guy contributed to running Baker out of Cleveland back when he DIDN'T have a mostly incentive oriented contract. I can't wait to see what his dad comes up with now when we get to Nov/Dec and he realizes there are millions being left on the field. But yeah, lets bring in a washed possession receiver who has never been the same since his injury and is only relevant because of an insane catch he made a decade ago, to help bolster arguably one of the best receiving groups in the league.
I was excited to see what Smith and Washington could do this year, but now they'll get reps absorbed by Odell to stop him from having a fit. But hey, who needs an Oline or a run defense when you can sign who will likely be the slowest receiver on the team with character concerns. I really hope I'm wrong and this works out, but I see this as one of the worst decisions Grier has made in years, and I don't see how the team is any better for it.

I’m pretty ambivalent on OBJ. His best years are certainly behind him. But if he’s, say, the third wide receiver for the Dolphins behind Tyreek and Waddell, OBJ could really free up those other two even more. I suppose using OBJ as a “decoy” sounds like a waste but what a decoy he could be.

Age and injuries are the age old tale. I think this team stays healthy we've got a good shot. We didn't touch a lot if any money for post June 1st, we have been getting bargain pieces that have good production. We'll see the last pieces fall in and then off to the races. I just want a good season, fair calls on the refs part, and health for all involved
