Fun fact: there was a roller coaster here that survived Katrina and still operates today. It was called Batman: The Ride and it's a standard B&M inverted coaster with the normal Batman layout. It was shipped to Six Flags Fiesta Texas a few years after the storm and now goes by the name Goliath. It survived because the station was far enough above the water line.

But I don't think it'll ever get fixed again☹️We evacuated to Texas and stayed there for a couple of months until everything was over. But we had very little damage done to our house.

This makes me so sad! Especially the ferris weel! It's like the slow spinning from the wind is it's way of crying, missing, and hoping people will ride it again
I was 4 when Katrina hit :( my family evacuated to Tennessee and my school and home were destroyed. We lived in a trailer in the driveway for months while we rebuilt our house, I had to finish pre-K at a different school. That park WAS THE BEST.

I imagine that in horror movies
