Thinking of a Pokémon game where when you get to the end you find Reds Ghost and fight his team again, all at competitive levels for endgame content (as in if it’s a game where getting Mons to level 100 is dumb easy because of exp crystals then make his whole team 100 with perfect EV and IV) and give him that intelligent ai to make him a real fight. Make it so that the area he’s in is accessible early but that he can’t be beaten until you’ve got all the badges and beaten the Champion - go at him to and he’s not there, go mid game and like a shadow of a trainer is there and the mons are shadowed too so you don’t know what they are or their levels and his mons can’t be hit as you eventually white out without losing money after he takes enough turns to KO all but one of your mons, and once you’ve beaten everything you get a cutscene intro , no words, just him emerging from most, eyes hidden beneath his hat, and he looks up “The Specter of Red challenges you to a battle.” That’d be cool, wouldn’t make much sense story wise unless someone smarter than me figured that out, but imagine the nostalgia/excitement for him to appear suddenly, or make him a Easter egg for collecting a full dex idunno I just think this is a cool but dumb idea
My favorite explanation for Red being there is that Snorlax needs a lot of food and lives in the mountains. Red has a snorlax, and was chilling there because he wanted his pokemon to have enough natural food.
What would've been like if only eight regions existed in Pokemon? And if all came out together in 1996 as Gen 1's version-exclusive? Each with 250 unique species(2,000 in all) while all are easily catchable, even Mythicals. Multi-Trades are possible even on PC Boxes(and even on GameBoy). Catching em all is possible in each version without trading. But obtaining other regions' mons required other versions' but that's optional. Also, canonically, the protagonists are the first generation of Trainers and they're the world's first League Champions and Dex completionists. And Dex completion rewards are going to Mt. Silver and battle other protagonists(all share Red's theme song). And if the series ended after Gen 1. And every 20 years, there'd be a sequel, taking place 20 years later, and starred the protagonists' offsprings who'd follow their parents' footsteps, and eventually beat their parents on Mt. Silver(still with Red's theme song).
I would love to see a story about or at the least references the three Pokémon trainers that got to prof Oak ahead of Ash and apparently were way ahead of him in attaining gym badges.
Oak: Red ? Red: ... Oak: it's time. Red: Yes professor, understood. And thank you for all. Red: Finaly, our waiting is over. *"turn to see all of his lovely team"* Right, guys ?
Red is on top of mount silver because his hand got injured in a fight against lorelie (ice e4), and there's a hot spring on top of Mt. Silver that is said to have healing properties. So he says he's training there but he's mostly there to help his hand recover.
The first time I faced Red (unprepared) was like- Oak: Hey Red there's some new challenger out there says he's better than you. Red: Oak, hold my Lemonade. Red proceeds to Blizzard and Hydro Pump KO my whole team.(tears) Red: Must have been the wind Blastoise: That tickled, too easy
To this day I still tell anybody who'll listen about Trainer RED. They just had to be there for themselves to wander to the end of Mt Silver and think it is some NPC that is just gonna do a normal battle or give you an item. I believe the whole way RED was presented in G/S/C is truly the way a final boss should be. Look at how things are in the real world. The best person at something in the world might not be the one that wins all the awards and gets all the media attention. It's usually some dude that is super humble about it and just does his thing
They give an explanation in the manga. If i remember correctly it was because he got injured fighting team rocket, and there is healing springs on mt silver
Finally, im glad to see Pokemon Fans that doesnt just talks about Ash or is like the trainer god reference center. In my country all says that Ash is best than anyone, just for the anime, they say without a argument is best than Red,Blue, Gold, Lira, etc. And that was starting to become annoying. But here the people really knows how to deal with the characters in a good way. Im proud of all of you
I always thought Red was there because of the monstrously strong wild pokemon there. This makes a lot of sense though. Oak DID seem like he was planning something.
Pokemon adventures say that he was there to heal from an injury he sustained while fighting the bad guys (which villains in Pokemon Adventure are quite ruthless for an officially licensed pokemon manga thanks to the manga being created before pokemon became super duper family friendly). But even without that, I think it makes sense for the best pokemon trainer to be where the strongest and rarest pokemon are.
I just realized if red is in unova, that means when gen 10 comes out and we get a gen 5 remake because of the remake pattern, we will see an even newer red, the newest one we’ve seen is let’s go
I would love a game where it’s much like Skyrim but Pokémon, gen 4 graphics or whichever the player wants from whichever gen, then have the player go through the entirety of pokemon and it’s regions like ash did, have a level cap above 100, adding 100 levels per region or something of the sort. Or leave the previous team behind but allowing one of the party to stay and reducing their levels back to 5 or something when entering the next region. After all badges are collected and the Pokédex filled, and all side missions are completed then You fight the strongest, but amped to max all Pokémon available from all the regions you’ve been to, everything is on the table to fight, and maybe increasing the amount of Pokémon in a team specifically on those fights, like 8-10.
I’d wish I could battle my very own red with my gold and vice versa. I that would have been a dope feature. Training to give oneself the ultimate challenge 😅
I always assumed that the reason why Red was in Mt. Moon was due to Mew. After completing the pokedex, he realized that Mewtwo came from Mew so Red searched for Mew in all of Kanto. He somehow got obsessed of trying to find and catch Mew that somehow he kind of lost his way which is why he didn't come back home in Pallet town and was not able to fulfill his duty as the champion of Kanto and Johto. His battle with Gold somehow made him snap into his senses and went back to his family and friends, ultimately deciding to go to another adventure around the world.
Honestly that's a really cool theory that Oak pushed Gold, so he would be a better challenge for Red. The only problem i have with it is Oak telling Red going to Mt. Silver, as he doesn't get anything out of it. I think it's better for Red going to Silver on his own volition to train, and Oak does Red a favor unprompted by pushing Gold.
I believe in the Pokémon Adventures manga, Red was on Mt. Silver because he was injured by a stray attack from Team Rocket and went to rehabilitate his hands.
This really makes me wonder… besides Red and Blue, most of the gym leaders/Champions, even Looker etc. making appearances other than their original debut in their respective games, it’s really funny that we’ve only seen Red appear in games like HGSS/BW2/USUM but never the other protagonists from the other games… Like it would’ve been cool that instead of Red on top of Mt. Silver it could’ve been Lyra/Crystal, Green, May, Brendan, Dawn or Lucas… I don’t mind it being Red tho but I really would like to see the other protagonist make a return in the future… 😔😿💀✊🏼🔥
Actually the manga has a good explanation for this. if I remember correctly , red was injured after the events of fighting lance and was at mt.silver to heal ( there was a miracle hot spring or something there). Thus, he spent like three years there. According to the manga, I wouldn't say red is battle crazy or wants to be the best although , his talent is battling. I'd say green has a lot more to prove.
I always thought he was at Mt. Silver because it was a good place to grind his Pokémon to the high levels they were when we faced him. Or just a fence for stopping weaker level trainers from ever challenging him since a lot of the Pokémon hanging around the mountain is level 50+.
Prof. Oak: Gold is on his way right about now. Red: I'm here. I'm ready. ... Gold: (Actually, I think I'm gonna train another team of Pokémon first, then go fishing, look for legendaries, etc, etc...)
That MAY be true... but the reason is that Gold is a mischief and he saw that guy in the Indigo gate blocking his path.saying that he needs all 16 of them. He goes there helps going to Jotho faster and eventuwlly were able to pass that disk head and gone to Mt Silver and encounters Red, it was not exactly Professor Oak that orchs this
I like this theory other than the part where Red was told to go to mount silver, he would’ve had to been told 2 years ago which makes zero sense to me, I do however believe Prof. Oak was able to contact him via the Pokédex and then told him about Gold before telling him to head to the peak for the battle
In the comic books, red was captired by lorelei and frozen around his hands and feet, evsn after he was freed the ice still affected him, according to their folklore Mt. Silver was a "magical" hotspring that could heal any sickness
The thing is... Red's location was unknown for 2 whole years after he won against Blue in the Indigo Plateau champion fight. Oak had no way to actually know where Red is. Red's mom references she doesn't know where he is and he hasn't come home in 3 years
Did you know that red would beat gold?Because it was never confirmed in either of the games if red or gold won because some people may not have beaten red,but looking at their morals experience and teams it turns out red would won
Professor Oak is secretly building an army of next gen Pokemon trainers to take over the world, just as his subordinate did years prior before the war that claimed 70% of the men in the world
I think we can all agree, Red is the canonical Pokemon Master and the greatest trainer in the world. I doubt he carries his most powerful team all the time, since he trains constantly, so i doubt his Mt. Silver team was his strongest pokemon.

Also after a small google search 435 Kelvin means we are either on fire or were recently submerged in lava, thats 323.33 F or 161.85 C
That battle was by FAR the coolest Pokemon battle in any game ever
The mangas explained why he was at mount moon.
Which is?
@@supremeraizen561 that he got hurt fighting the elite 4 and had heal in the hot springs. It doesn't really matter though since the manga isn't canon to the games
mount moon is completely different than mt silver????
Yea and the manga is vastly different than the games and it’s storylines are also not canon to the games either
U didn't answer the question
Or... Maybe Red was Doing some Grinding at Mt. Silver Because we Know Damn well he didnt get that level 88 Pikachu Naturally
When first time face red then poke ball there are pikachu level high😅 while my pokemon at 55 and above
That part you suggested about Atem being to dependent on Exodia would fit right in at Atem vs brainwashed Joey in Battle City.
Marik makes his rules for the duel for no Slifer as normal but also no Exodia and the duel proceeds as normal if not a bit worst with Atem’s over reliance on Exodia.
But it could also be that professor oak made a big deal about red being champion that red needed to go to mt silver to get away from it all.
Then gold lost to hilbert
Das why he’s the Goat, Goat!
Hilbert do be a menace after all that trauma he gave to team plasma
@@alastorthedemonslayer4257 Pokémon black and white were peak Pokémon
Can someone tell me when Hilbert fought gold
@@LRabbit71421 post game of black and white
Red would lose to gens 2-9 protagonist he literally just has Mewtwo as his legendary compared to others with literal titans & Gods and life and death 😂.
This battle took me forever to win one of the most memorable moments in my childhood for sure
Yo Red Is Probably The Swaggiest Pokémon Character Of All Time
The red battle in hg/ss is so damn hard. Truly the most iconic pokemon battle
Make it so that the area he’s in is accessible early but that he can’t be beaten until you’ve got all the badges and beaten the Champion - go at him to and he’s not there, go mid game and like a shadow of a trainer is there and the mons are shadowed too so you don’t know what they are or their levels and his mons can’t be hit as you eventually white out without losing money after he takes enough turns to KO all but one of your mons, and once you’ve beaten everything you get a cutscene intro , no words, just him emerging from most, eyes hidden beneath his hat, and he looks up “The Specter of Red challenges you to a battle.”
That’d be cool, wouldn’t make much sense story wise unless someone smarter than me figured that out, but imagine the nostalgia/excitement for him to appear suddenly, or make him a Easter egg for collecting a full dex idunno I just think this is a cool but dumb idea
Imagine you're just some random NPC hiking on Mount Silver and just so happen to see the most iconic Pokemon battle just going on 👀🏔️
Imagine Oak's reaction to hearing that Gold was getting into fights with Team Rocket 😆
the background music gives vibes!
So I'm not the only one saying this battle is the best, glad other people feel the same.
I like the pokemon adventures story where red went up to heal his hand from being frozen
Im not even mad at this theory its pretty damn good😁👍
My favorite explanation for Red being there is that Snorlax needs a lot of food and lives in the mountains.
Red has made so many cameos but I never thought about it
I would love to see a story about or at the least references the three Pokémon trainers that got to prof Oak ahead of Ash and apparently were way ahead of him in attaining gym badges.
Not only was Gold a worthy opponent after beating Blue, he also beat Red. That is one hell of a feat.
The title tells us so much. Some people have just never taken time to brood a bit.
It was surprising to see a little ol Pikachu use volt tackle and one hit k.o. my lead pokemon.
I just caught on to the song playing in the background. 😂
Oak: Red ?
Red: ...
Oak: it's time.
Red: Yes professor, understood. And thank you for all.
Red: Finaly, our waiting is over.
*"turn to see all of his lovely team"*
Right, guys ?
Red is on top of mount silver because his hand got injured in a fight against lorelie (ice e4), and there's a hot spring on top of Mt. Silver that is said to have healing properties. So he says he's training there but he's mostly there to help his hand recover.
I like to belive red has never actually been beaten by us and he just gets bored after a bit and moves on to find a stronger opponent
The first time I faced Red (unprepared) was like-
Oak: Hey Red there's some new challenger out there says he's better than you.
Red: Oak, hold my Lemonade.
Red proceeds to Blizzard and Hydro Pump KO my whole team.(tears)
Red: Must have been the wind
Blastoise: That tickled, too easy
Im proud of all of you
Red follows the pattern Ryu does in Street Fighter
I swear I heard somewhere that the reason Red is on that mountain is to let his skills deteriorate, so you have a good fight
Ahhh yes, red, gold, silver - proper names. Peak Pokemon lore.
But even without that, I think it makes sense for the best pokemon trainer to be where the strongest and rarest pokemon are.
that level 81 pikachu was a goddamn demon
Red is the best
I think it's better for Red going to Silver on his own volition to train, and Oak does Red a favor unprompted by pushing Gold.
one of my fave Pokémon games
The heart hold n soul silver oh my GODS
truly the remakes of all time ✊🏼🔥
Base on manga, red are about battle prodigy, while yellow about healing, green about evolution, can see that he went there to training in manga also.
The hail and 34 full restores were my greatest ally vs. red
I believe in the Pokémon Adventures manga, Red was on Mt. Silver because he was injured by a stray attack from Team Rocket and went to rehabilitate his hands.
Great, Now i downloaded the Emu and started a new run, Thank you!
In the Pokémon adventures manga Red was at Mt silver to recover from injuries he suffered defeating team rocket
This really makes me wonder… besides Red and Blue, most of the gym leaders/Champions, even Looker etc. making appearances other than their original debut in their respective games, it’s really funny that we’ve only seen Red appear in games like HGSS/BW2/USUM but never the other protagonists from the other games…
Like it would’ve been cool that instead of Red on top of Mt.
I thought he was at Mt. Silver because he found out about the Johto pokemon and got overwhelmed
The original pokemon theme song is so iconic ngl
That MAY be true... but the reason is that Gold is a mischief and he saw that guy in the Indigo gate blocking his path.saying that he needs all 16 of them. He goes there helps going to Jotho faster and eventuwlly were able to pass that disk head and gone to Mt Silver and encounters Red, it was not exactly Professor Oak that orchs this
I liked Pedro‘s idea, that red was on mount silver to stop team rocket from crossing over to Kanto
I like this theory other than the part where Red was told to go to mount silver, he would’ve had to been told 2 years ago which makes zero sense to me, I do however believe Prof. Oak was able to contact him via the Pokédex and then told him about Gold before telling him to head to the peak for the battle
He sent Gold to Mt. Silver so Red would finally get off the dang mountain and complete his Pokedex
People say Red vs Gold is the most iconic but nobody talks about how iconic Nidorino vs Gengar is
Ok But can we Talk about how fucking good Golds picture looked holy Jesus
Professor Oak is secretly building an army of next gen Pokemon trainers to take over the world, just as his subordinate did years prior before the war that claimed 70% of the men in the world
Remember that red is one of the few people who actually became a Pokemon champion canonically.
They should make this battle happen in the origin stories
According to the pokemon adventures manga, Red was up at Mt. Silver to recover from a frostbite injury that he had recieved.
gold pulling out his lvl 11 pidgey:hehe Gold 1 minute later:TYPHLOSION USE FIRE BLA-
I think we can all agree, Red is the canonical Pokemon Master and the greatest trainer in the world. I doubt he carries his most powerful team all the time, since he trains constantly, so i doubt his Mt. Silver team was his strongest pokemon.
